It is clear, however, that Blizzard has chipped away at the idea of a control style game with each passing meta. Perhaps it is time to accept that Hearthstone will never be what most seem to want: A game that doesn't insult the player's intelligence. For now, seeing it for what it is may alleviate the irritation of what the game has become but the thirst will always be there. It is a wish that will keep permeating the discussions without being discussed. You want Hearthstone to be a clone of MTG and it never will be.

Accept it. It cannot be argued because...

Here is what you are saying....

The data aggregation method of evaluating deck win percentages is flawed because it includes both the strongest and weakest versions of a deck.

However

Your personal experiences with one individual deck are good indicators of overall deck strength.

This is akin to saying, Sure, the census says that 5.6% of Americans are of Asian descent, but I went into a restaurant the other day and half the people there were Asians. That census is just wrong for so many reasons!

Here is the takeaway for you: Averages are just that, averages. They take a range of data, and tell you where, when all combined the data leads. They do not mean that everyone playing a deck with a 52% average win rate will have a 52% win rate. Some may have a 40% some may have 70%. Just because your experience is not average, doesn't mean the average is wrong.

Bonus Item:  If a deck is not popular enough, they don't publish data on it because you need a certain amount of data to make valid statistical inferences.

6 mana two-card combo that unleashes 18 damage over the course of three turns. There is no other comination of cards that can do this.

Duskboar +Blessing of Kings = 24 dmg

Force of Nature + Mark of the Lotus = 27 dmg

Magma Rager + Magma Rager = 30 dmg

And this is less than just the tip of the iceberg buddy. Anyhow just tech in a Gluttonous Ooze. I run one in my control paladin and it's won me countless games when I hard mulligan for it, only keepingTruesilver Champion.

(also I understand your frustration about weapons being tougher to get rid of than minions and my card combos thing was a bit of a joke)

Testosterone aside, some of us have important things in our lives thus we want to accomplish the goal of playing a game: winning, and do it fast enough to deal with our irl issues, a break our routine is needed, but it isn't helpful if it takes half our day away.

According to the Blizzard Hearthstone Technical Support Forum, many people are experiencing this issue.  I tried posting this solution on that forum, but my posts kept getting taken down [edit: the post has been restored!].

I have only tested this solution on Windows 10, but it may or may not work on Windows 7 and 8.

Lately, I noticed that Hearthstone.exe was consuming more system resources and was causing programs that were running concurrently to lag.  I also noticed that Hearthstone.exe would consistently hang when closing.  
It seems that these symptoms were both introduced with the "Windows 10 Creators Update".

The following are the steps to address this issue on Windows 10 (steps are different and may or may not work for Windows 7 and Windows 8):

• Before beginning, run "Windows Update", then search for and install the latest update(s).  You may need to restart the computer after installing update(s) before a search yields additional result(s).  (Search => Install => Restart => Repeat until there are no additional updates available.)

1. Close "Hearthstone.exe".
2. Right-click on the "Windows/Start Button".
3. Click on "File Explorer".
4. Copy and paste "C:\Program Files (x86)\Hearthstone" (without quotations) into the "address bar", and then press "Enter".
5. Right-click on "Hearthstone.exe".
6. Click on "Properties".
7. Click on the "Compatibility tab". (http://imgur.com/a/2OB1f)
   
8. Click/Check the "box" next to the words, "Override high DPI scaling behavior.".
   • (This option is only available with the "Windows 10 Creators Update".)
   • (For Windows 7 or Windows 8, try checking/clicking the "box" next to the words "Run this program in compatibility mode for:", then click on the "drop-down menu" immediately below and select an earlier version of Windows, then skip to "Step 10".)
9. Ensure that the "selection" in the "drop-down menu" under the words, "Scaling performed by:", is set to "Application".
10. Click "OK".
11. Open Hearthstone.

After I took these steps, Hearthstone now quits without hanging (sometimes it hangs briefly, but it eventually closes; I tested this many times), and programs running concurrently are no longer lagging.

Bad advice IMO...both murloc paladin and pirate warrior have their weaknesses. When a meta breaker shows up, you'll be crushed along with them.

@ OP: Check out the latest VS Meta Report (http://www.vicioussyndicate.com/vs-data-reaper-report-45/#metabreaker) for some ideas. Token Druid, Aggro Shaman, and possibly Burn Mage seem worth checking out.
