Just going to come here to rant and get some things off my chest in regards to how I am feeling about this game.
I seriously feel duped for having pre-ordered and subsequently purchasing more Witchwood packs. I honestly thought things have changed in terms of the dev team taking our concerns into consideration, but the announcement that we'll be waiting at least another month for patches today and the silence that led up to this point has me really considering just quitting the game altogether.
There is only so much disappointment I can take from a game and I am reaching my limit with Hearthstone. The unfortunate thing is I have invested so much money and time into the game that I find myself unable to truly let go. I know it's unlikely, but if there are other players who feel that same way and have successfully quit, I wish that I could hear from you on how you let it go.
I wish there was a way to get back my investment in this game because I lean more towards anger than joy when playing lately and when I am not winning the game feels more like work than entertainment. The unfortunate fact is I think I am a good tournament player (placed well in every one I have entered), but the ladder climbing aspect to get into the big money tournaments is too detrimental to my mental health, so I will never recoup my investment in this game.
Because of that, I just want a game that can be more consistently fun, which requires toxic meta decks to be balanced rather quickly... yet Team 5 will have not balanced the game for over 5 months by the time the next nerfs come around and there is no info on what they definitively will be. I played an arguably more toxic game in Madden (Ultimate Team) for years and finally quit this year, but even they made balance changes nearly every month, at minimum every 2 months. Team5 would probably use the excuse that they have a smaller dev team, but the Madden team only has about 5 guys who work on game balance after a release because the rest of the team starts work on the next year's game.
Please, get your shit together Blizzard/Team5. I really want to play your game. I really want to enjoy playing it. Quit waving the majority of your community away like plebs and attempting to ignore us into submission. You have created a toxic environment for a game that should be oozing positivity and seem content with it. Let smaller tournaments determine who makes it to World-level tournaments, in addition to Ladder.
Just fix the damn game.

You know the communication is great when a reply deserves its own news article.

Completely agree. Decks are autopilot-level refined, and there's little to nothing you can do unless you're lucky enough to hit rock against scissors.

This game tilts me like no other game, especially in this rock paper scissor meta. Today I played one game that I won and just didn't want to play another one in fear of completely ruining my mood.

Doubt it. They barely read the subreddit or official forums. They pop their heads in during card reveals, but that's about it. It's another 3 months of silence until something happens.

Currently playing Elder Scrolls Legends. Feels like winning the lottery comparing their reward system to Hearthstone.

Great for 24 hours, already waiting for the next card reveals to begin.
