The day begins. The servers are running. Blizzard runs a post-expansion nerf patch after an HTC tournament.
I think we can pretty much expect such things now, excluding when the situation is so dire that they get started working on it before the expansion putting the release before the tournament (the innervate patch).
As for changes: I'm guessing Spiteful getting gutted, Lacky getting a mana increase, and also Call To Arms.
Changes no doubt delayed because of tournament play. So lame. Respect your average consumer first.
Yes, I'm sure you will feel way more distressed about playing the game without the changes for an extra month compared to the people that spent the last few months preparing for a tournament for 8h a day.
Jesus christ, these forums are starting to make me lose faith in mankind as a whole.

I have a feeling we will be seeing nerfs to cards people dont want nerfed as well, just like Fiery War Axe .
Well, tbh there isn't much to be discussed before we actually see what cards will get hit by the nerf bat. Right now we can only make assumptions. And if this is the case, then we already had enough threads proposing some "fair balance changes".
Don't get me wrong. Thank you very much for posting this tweet. I'm happy to hear that the game experience will become fresh in ~3-4 weeks from now. I can almost expect to see how the discussed cards will be the lackeys, spiteful summoners and maybe call to arms. But just like the others I don't know for sure whether I have guessed those right or if my idea to change them would be the one, which actually gets implemented.

It's gotta be a bottom 2 class so Hunter or Shaman. They haven't nerfed Hunter in a while. Team 5 is probably itching to do it.
I'm biased, but I really hope they don't nerf Spiteful Summoner. Not because I think its fine now, but because they're probably going to gut it hard and make it unplayable. I'd rather just have a stat reduction or cost increase.
Spiteful Summoner, Possesed Lackey, Dark Pact, Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Call to Arms, and Hench Clan Thug are my guesses. Summoner, Lackey, and Call to Arms, seems to be fine with + 1 mana nerf.
While a Dark pact + 1 mana nerf sounds good too, that could make the card unplayable as it is hard to combo with other cards. My guess is a -2 health nerf.
Bloodreaver Gul'dan. The nerf i want to see here is to change its battlecry to Summon 5 friendly demons that died this game.
Hench Clan Thug is mainly the one card that makes odd rogue playable, and while i dont want to see that deck die, this particular card needs nerfs asap. The most probable nerf is to make it only gain attack.
With Rogue Quest i dont have any idea how to balance that card, it is so biased, its Op or its unplayable; the game would simply be better withouth it.
Hearthstone designers talked about Sunkeeper Tarim, Pladin upgraded HP, and Doomguard. While a Tarims nerf seems ok, ive never found paladin HP that frustrating, and i think Doomguard doesnt need any nerf.

Well, if they nerf the top decks and leave Odd Hunter alone, it will just take over as the top deck. But then again, there will always be a top deck and people will always call for nerfs no matter what.

Changes will be announced near the tournament.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

Can't wait honestly. The cards they considered un-fun would all be better off nerfed imo
Fuck cubelock

Ugh almost ANOTHER month until the nerfs :(

Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP
Would be nice if they could release the balance patch now and just restrict those in the HTC to only using pre-patch HS.
Feel free to quote me but if Spiteful is not nerfed I'm done with this game. not salt, just serious.

Join me at Out of Cards!
i think they will nerf hex again :D:D
All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.
Ok Blizzard, this time Hex should seriously be nerfed to 5 mana. It’s op as fuck!

the balances will be completely random as always. i expect something like fireball is 5 mana now and stuff like that
Yay, now I have an idea of when I should come back to the game. I wish these changes would come sooner but at least Blizzard has broken their silence
