posted a message on Viable Strategy: Not ending your turn?

I do this. I'll admit to doing this. I'm not ashamed of doing this. I play Hearthstone to have fun. I play fun, inventive decks and, in a perfect world, would like to play against other people who play fun, inventive decks. But it seems that my idea of fun and inventive and other people's idea of fun and inventive differ greatly.

I'll come up with a dumb fun deck idea, and hop into "casual" to play it...hopefully against other people who have come up with their own dumb fun decks, but all I come across are people who are playing net decks looking for a quick/easy win to get their quests done. Since most of my decks can't compete with these net decks (after all, they are net decks for a reason, while my decks will never be among the top voted decks here on Hearthpwn), and there's no way I'll get the fun I think I deserve being a member of the Hearthstone community, I will deny my net decking opponent of his quick/easy win by DRAWING THE GAME OUT FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.

I'm not AFK, I may be looking at stuff other than the game, but I'm still there, and I'll watch that rope until the very end, and then hit "End Turn." That way I never get the speed rope. Net deckers ruin my fun...so I'll ruin yours. "Tit for tat." "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." However you wanna put it. I don't care. Sure, I could just concede and move on, but chances are high that I'll just run into another net deck, and YOU'LL still get your quick/easy win, while I'll have to suffer through even more unoriginal bastards.

Yes, I may be as much of a cancer on this game as net deckers are, but net deckers created people like me, and you know what...soon you'll have net deckers pulling this crap, while I'll never make a deck that I copied off of sites like this one.

So, go ahead and flame me, whatever will make you feel better about copy/pasting your deck...you won't change my opinion on net decks, and I won't change your opinion on playing them...I won't even bother trying. Someone told or showed you net decking was the way to go and because you can't think for yourself, you believed them.

Who are "they?" Why is their posture so bad? Does the game choose one of the possible outcomes every time something random happens??

"THEY" are THE MAN! The grand oppressors! The one's on top who are trying to keep all us little guys down!

Of course "their posture is so bad!" They want to make US feel bad so THEY feel good! They don't care how we feel as long as we can line their pockets with cold hard cash! They'll throw us a bone every now and then to keep our hopes up, but in the end...we're doomed and they rejoice at this fact! Because only THEY know the true outcome!

The game doesn't choose possible outcomes...THE MAN does! Of course, they don't do this themselves! They're above such menial labor! They hire peons...initiates who have given their all to the will of THE MAN! These initiates wish to become THE MAN themselves one day, but becoming THE MAN isn't something you can work to become, but something you are born into or, if you're EXTREMELY lucky, married into!

We are all just pawns in THE MAN's game...most of you don't know it...but you will now! Until THE MAN sends one of their many lackeys to squelch my voice!

For those of you who read this, remember my words for they will not be up here long...either a Hearthpwn moderator will remove my post or this thread will "magically" become buried among all the other threads...you'll start to see a dramatic influx in "nerf ______" threads or "which Legendary should I craft" threads.

WTF is this word? Is it an Aussie word? Lemme watch all the Crocodile Dundee movies to see if this word is mentioned anywhere.

posted a message on Dragondin That Works!?!

You have FIVE Dragons and SIX Deathrattle cards in your deck, and yet you still refer to it as a "Dragon deck." Looks more like a Deathrattle deck than a Dragon deck to me.

I also made a Dragon Paladin deck, it's got 10 Dragons in it and 5 cards that rely on me having a Dragon in my hand to work to their fullest. I may never be able to claim that my deck "works," but I can claim that it's more "Dragon deck" than yours is.

Oh, and in case you're wondering my Dragon deck has ONE Deathrattle minion.

Edit: Just reread your update. So, if you had Tirion Fordring you'd take either a Zombie Chow or a Dragon Consort out of your "Dragon deck." Your options are to take out a Deathrattle minion for another Deathrattle minion, keeping your totals the same in regards to Dragons and Deathrattle minions, or replacing a Dragon for a Deathrattle minion, changing your numbers from 6 Deathrattle minions to 7, and lowering the number of Dragons from 5 to 4...and you'd still refer to your deck as a "Dragon deck?"

At that point calling it a "Dragon deck" is a joke.

Can you change the title of your post to: "A Paladin deck with a couple Dragons splashed in for good measure is currently working?!?" It'd be far more accurate.

posted a message on What is the card you dislike the most?

    The Coin for both categories.

The art for the card is just so uninspired.

And the whole gimmick of The Coin is just odd to me. Sure, the mechanics work, but let's see,

We flip The Coin at the start of the game. I "Win" the flip and get to go first, but I still only get to mulligan with 3 cards while you get 4 and you get a Spell card that allows you to use Combos, buff minions like Questing Adventurer or Mana Worm, and play a single card 1 turn earlier than you should be able to: Yay turn 4 Sludge Belcher!

posted a message on Bad Manners (BM) in Hearthstone

I only add people to tell them how ingenious they are.

I mean...I played against a Hunter deck, where all he did was rush me down. Totally ignored my minions and just hit me in the face over and over. It was a brilliant deck idea and he needed to be praised for his ingenuity.

Then I played a Warlock, and he did pretty much the same thing! Way to use that Hero Power to fill your hand with low cost minions and beat me by turn 6. Seriously! If that's not a deck archetype, it should be!

Then I played a Warrior deck. He did this sweet ass combo where he played Warsong Commander + Grim Patron and just smashed into all my minions with his Grim Patrons until his side of the board was full. Next turn he wrecked my face.

I dunno where these people think of these ideas, but they better patent them or something or pretty soon EVERYONE will be playing these EXACT same decks or using these EXACT same combos over and over and over and...

Dr Boom for me. It doesn't always work, but when it does it is awesome.

Umm...when did Dr. Boom get demoted from an auto-include in most decks to a "bad" or "mediocre" card?

posted a message on Late game recovery without "more win" if winning.

Well, luckily we live in the real world and not this mystical fantasy world where we dream up cards and they become reality in a game that we have no real control over the contents.

So, too wordy, Taunt, no Taunt, whatever...not gonna happen.

Edit: Neat card btw...I just don't see why people are arguing about it.

Another Edit: Why were you so specific about how the Dr. Boom became a 7/4. Because it killed a Sludge Belcher, but you don't make any reference to the Slime that would be left over? Wouldn't he have this Archbishop AND the Slime? Seriously, if you're gonna be so specific about this scenario, then WHAT HAPPENED TO THE Slime?!?!

Third Edit: Change the Sludge Belcher to Sen'jin Shieldmasta and then we'll be all good...and you guys can argue about your hypothetical card.

Fourth Edit: Okay. Since this is a magical world where Sludge Belchers don't spawn Slimes, I'll run my Boom Bot into the Archbishop, it takes 1 damage, and since this is a magical world, and we all know Boom Bots always hit for 4 when we least expect it, the Boom Bot will explode for 4 hitting the Archbishop. Because you insist on not including the Slime, I'll insist that this Boom Bot always hits for 4. The Archbishop dies. The opponent has gained 5 health, putting him at 12. My Dr. Boom that hit this broken Sludge Belcher (broken because he didn't spawn a Slime) hit's face for 7, Fireball for an additional 6. Win!

This could of all been avoided if you had just told us what happened to the Slime! It is a big deal. Having a 1/2 Taunt with a 7/4 Dr. Boom, Boom Bot, and Fireball in hand makes a helluva big difference!

posted a message on What were you wrong about?

I thought "Casual" mode was casual...boy, was I wrong. It's just a place for people to test their net decks and do quests without losing rank.

Some day they'll implement a TRUE casual mode...but I'm sure I'll be wrong about that too.
