posted a message on Demon hunter class identity?

Hi guys. I was thinking recently... What is his class identity? I mean, it does more damage, draw more cards and have better tempo than Rogue. It heals a freaking lot (funny because priest and paladin were supposed to be the healing classes and they pale against DH healing capabilities), it summons swarm minions and, on the other hand, strong minions like druid. Oh, and demons from warlock.

I'll ask it again. What's his class identity? I like the addition of a new class. But I just don't see the concept behind it. It does what three other classes does, but it does it SO MUCH BETTER. I don't feel that I'm playing against a DH, I feel I'm playing against roguelockdin (?)

I actually loved the mechanic of being benefited with minions dying, an actual cool mechanic and you could say that it could've been part of his class identity, but the power level of all the other cards just don't justify even trying it. That thing just ended up being class filler.

    What do you guys think?

For the record, yeah, I know that you can counter him. You gotta be dumb if you think you can't counter him (and don't know hsreplay lol). If you're going to be salty and let comments like "lol rank 25 no0b", just go away.

And how do you do it? Explain yourself, it seems you've a point to share with everyone.

You're comparing different types of games buddy. WOW, for start, isn't competitive, so people won't play it desperately trying to exploit it. And in the other hand, in Hearthstone there are MILLIONS of possibilities. We're not talking of efficiency on a team. We're talking of something that is technically impossible right now. You can't do it even with IAs. You just can't predict how a meta will go mainly because you won't ever have the required data.

"u dun tst things blizzard u suck"

These folks have no idea about software development, statistics and competitive online games.

Exactly! This is how a competitive online game is meant to be. I'm glad that they now react in a matter of two days. A year and a half ago I wouldn't even dream with Blizzard being this responsive. Nerfs sometimes delayed A MONTH, and they weren't made properly. Either they failed with the nerf, or they killed the card. People just can't be happy and enjoy things, I guess.

These folks pretend to get a whole new class, crazy-ass mechanics with perfect balance in the less time possible. Dear god, it's like if they never played any online competitive game. You can't predict effectively the flow of the game. This time they did tested the whole expansion with pros (guess what, this community complained about it), and, although DH was strong, it didn't seem broken.

I don't know why they keep playing. I just hope they left the game.

Dear god. I hate this game's community. The only thing all do is complain and cry. They all keep comparing this to a physical TCG. What happens when one of these games release broken mechanics? Let me tell you: you lose money, because it gets banned. Or, if that TCG is Yu-Gi-Oh!, the game becomes unplayable and they'll never fix it in any way.

Do you even know how a software development team organizes? Do you know how much time'd be needed to add the same amount of cards, mechanics AND A FUCKING NEW CLASS if they spent months testing, as all you experts complain? We'd probably have less cards, or less mechanics, and forget about a new class.

I mean, this time they did tested all cards with pro-streamers. And guess what, surprise, all of you complained about it, because this meant a more stale meta (?????). And, although indeed DH was the best, it didn't seem like a problem. You just CAN'T emulate the testing data that thousands of players playing every second gives you. YOU CAN'T. If you think you can do it, you probably don't know even the basics of software development.

Can't you see the real problem? All of you are the problem. If you want a stale game with no risks, ups and downs, go and play Magic, and stop crying. I prefer this, them trying crazy things, and responding quickly if they're broken.

For anyone that didn't watched the stream:

This is the first deck I'll test. Some of the matchs on that video were unwinnable in other circunstances. This deck proved to be quite versatile.

Did you watch the stream? Any lifesteal card in this class should be included, be it good or not. It's a class that needs it. Imprisoned Antaen is useless against agro, but in more slow matchs it's devastating. And Altruis the Outcast is preeeeetty good since DH has some cheap spells. It can clear the board and deal extra damage.

You do realize that you need to get this in the proper order, otherwise you're forced to play around it, right? That's a HUGE thing.

First of all, you don't go to therapy for things like that lol. You really should go.

Second, if you have a problem with something, you should just appoint that, no need being salty. In this case, "you shouldn't be posting a fake winrate", instead of  "87% Win rate my ass. The deck sucks.". That's just mean.

If you can't see the shit this community can be most of the times, I guess you're part of the problem.

Battlefiend is actually 2 mana if you take it as a 3/2, so, that's balanced :)

And as it was previously said, having to get this in the right order, or just top deck it is a MUCH bigger drawback than just 2 health. Also, warlock actually benefited with that 2 damage with MANY potential combos, so, that wasn't a drawback at all for the class.
