Lmao what's going on with people being so greedy these days? You really dream about getting double rewards because of an error and mock the others who didn't get those quests? Don't worry, blizzard will handle this "hard" job and reward only those who didn't get the quests earlier while you can open your packs now.

Serious gamers? I laughed, not gonna lie. Not everyone got the quests even if they logged in every 5 minutes, it was random.

I know, you snooze you lose, but not this time.

posted a message on Remove Tickatus from the game already.

I'm at that point when I can't take people who complain about this card seriously anymore. So you are crying over a card that doesn't find a place in any deck with a winrate higher than 50%, a card that needs a set up, a card that is dead against aggro, a card that doesn't win fatigue but balances it because warlocks draw a lot. Jesus Christ. Every single day, someone complains about this card and when I ask them "how do you play around it?" guess what? They don't even respond because they prefer to cry on forums instead of playing around tick.

Those who say this meta is aggro because of tickatus don't even play this game. Aggro got so much support in the past few expansions while control was forgotten. People play aggro because the archetype is too strong and also cheap, not because tickatus exists.

And let me tell you something, tickatus lock actually loses to aggro, control and combo. I know, right? How is this even possible when you guys, who complain about it, have 0% wr against that card? Back in boomsday, control warlock had over 75% winrate against togwaggle druid, now that was an insta win. That's what we call polarized match ups and those are not healthy for the game, but tickatus? If you lose to it with your homebrew control mega greedy no win condition full of draw deck then it's your fault. But as long as tickatus decks don't have a polarized match up against control and combo, don't dream about that card being nerfed or removed. Better start thinking for yourself and play around it.

I can't believe you are crying over free stuff. Ok, you completed the quests and now you want them again while others didn't even get 1 single quest? Sir, you are greedier than blizzard. If you have all the cards you need to play then stop complaining about something you don't need at all.

posted a message on DF Galakrond Rogue [63% winrate]

Unfortunately university kept me really busy and I couldn't play hearthstone at all for the past few weeks. I still manage to watch some streams from time to time and based on what meta looks like, I think this deck won't do that good. A lot of swarm decks, if ramp paladin highrolls a tip the scales the game is over, gala rogue has no comeback unless you play galakrond and draw kronx but even then that's just 1 wave. Same for token druid, flik and kronx will help but they are too slow. Zoo was always a bad match up unless rogue has the perfect anti aggro opener. Weapon and stealth rogue are too smorcish and rogue's weakness (having no heal) makes the match up pretty bad. There are some decks weak to gala rogue but without a lot of grind, it will be hard to reach legend with this deck in the current meta.

Kinda feel like this shouldn't apply to when you disenchant a nerfed card... or they could just be kind and give us the dust value like they do for HoFed cards.

Or would that be too generous?

So, if a rare card gets nerfed, you disenchant it and open packs (assuming you are legend when the season resets, you get 5 packs for free), you get that card guaranteed since each pack contains at least 1 rare card. Then you open your free 5 packs (the card needs to be from that specific expansion). On average, you get 2 copies of the nerfed card in 2 packs, you DE them and open 2 more, you DE those copies too and open the last pack. 5 copies of a nerfed rare card that grants you 500 dust for free. It was exploited by some players, especially by those who would buy packs with money and farm nerfed legendaries to get a lot of dust.

I'm not.  I was thinking about Leeching Poison for the bitching nerf and Flametongue Totem for the neither.

EDIT:  And ironically, Kingsbane occupied the same spot Tick Lock does now at the time.  Namely, something that beats the slowest of control decks a decent amount and . . . basically nothing else.

The things is, kingsbane rogue could beat aggro by drawing an early leeching while warlock won't beat aggro with tickatus. If rogue had a consistent way to draw leeching posion the way they had for kingsbane that deck would've been way worse to deal with. They just needed early survivability and leeching was their only way out, in the late game they had vanish and blade flurry for wide boards or face swings against big threats. Even control decks could be kingsbane rogue if it wasn't for leeching poison. Same for tickatus, control and combo decks can beat it but only if players have an idea how to build their deck and what cards to avoid playing in that match up (card draw mostly).

On the other hand, I partially agree with flametongue totem nerf. It wasn't that obnoxious but played on turn 2 just gave even shaman too much freedom for good trades thanks to their discounted hero power while developing other threats. At that time, even shaman was a tier 1 deck and flametongue helped a lot.

If you are thinking of Hex, let's be honest it was basically polymorph for 1 less mana. I know shaman was not meta at that time but the nerf was just to bring the card in line with poly so it was justifiable.

    Ways to fix Tickatus:

    • Make him 8 mana - harder to corrupt, delays playing him a bit.  6 mana is just too low for such a powerhouse card.
    • Make his effect destroy 3 cards, rather than 5

...and what 9+ mana card would you ever play in warlock, exactly, outside yashaarj?

That's called deckbuilding and normal constraints for playing a high reward card.

So, again, what 9+ card would you put in your list, deckbuilder?

Jaraxxus? Malygos? Alex? Sathrovarr? an uncorrupted clown? Nozdormu? Ysera? the bunny? scrapyard colossus? colossus of the moon? Phaoris? Or wait... I GOT IT!!! DEATHWING!!! YEAH, THAT'S THE PLAY! TA-DAH!!! TAKE THAT, OPPONENT!!! NOW GET MY TIC... DOH!!!

Are you complaining because you have to think and make sacrifices during deckbuild to get a reward with what is supposed to be a tech card against certain matchups ?
Because that's how card games are supposed to work, so quit complaining and start deckbuilding, that'll be way more productive.

    Also, as options :
     - Alexstrasza
     - Quest Warlock to get him at 0
     - N'zoth
     - Malygos indeed, we still have some 1 mana dmg spells
     - Pog-Saron

Anyway, seriously, the card has a really powerful effect, can see its cost reduced (The Dark Portal, Kanrethad, Free Admission...), can be duplicated or "Resurrected" (Y'shaarj, Fielosophy...), and can be tutored (Sense Demons). And yet, with all those possibilities, you think it's normal to get access to its effect without ANY deckbuild effort ? What's the next step ? Turn 1, draw this at the start of the game, battlecry "win the game and gain a cookie" ?

And why not a single list includes those cards? Because they are bad, you can be sure people tried to run those highroll cards and ended up losing most of their games. I could give you 1000 reasons why most of those cards are garbage and restricting your deck to playing them just to corrupt tickatus is not worth so your nerf idea is simply "kill the card". Numbers talk sweetheart and as long as tickatus warlock doesn't have an insanely good wr against control/combo decks (btw, most combo and control decks beat it) blizzard will not nerf it. Now I see you are a diehard tickatus hater but blizzard's team looks at this card from every point of view, not just the loud minority that hate to play against it.

No, you just unequip the weapon and give it to a minion, there is a special animation for that when they carry your weapon on the battlefield. Lmao bro, I think you are the only person who would think about this interaction. It doesn't even says weapon's attack or stats, it says "and your weapon".

Meanwhile, i could completely freak out if people here continue to defend the warlock corrupt package.

There is no justification for the fact that a simple 6 mana 8/8, wich can be easily activated by playing a higher cost card, destroys 5 Cards (twice) of the opponent, NONE.

This Card is badly designt and there are no two opinions.

It just feels unfair and cruel to play helplessly and senselessly against corrupt warlock if you don’t play an agressive deck yourself.

It’s hard to even go on the offensive against Corrupt Warlock, since they have over 10 board clears they frequently use. Tell me how I’m supposed to go aggro against them when they use any combination of the following:

    - 2x Dark Skies

    - 2x Hysteria

    - 2x Cascading Disaster (+2 more once Y’sharji comes out)

    - 2x Twisted Nether (which is often combined with 1-2 0-cost Strongman)

Keep in mind that on top of all this removal, Warlock will also be swarming the board at every opportunity. And Tickatus is the final “screw you” nail in the coffin. By the time you are finally getting close to stabilizing, there goes the rest of your deck with no way to fight back.

And people keep saying, “Oh, just add Elysiana!”... well, I don’t know if those people play with her often, but many times the choices you get are janky and terrible, random junk neutrals that I only ever see as Arena options. Ok, how am I supposed to pull off a comeback when the best option Elysiana gave me is a Magma Rager.... lol.

Tell us at what rank you are playing, which deck and how many control warlocks you face, cuz that list with double nether and strongman is so bad, galakrond package is the best one to play warlock.

posted a message on Control is dead because...

So you like control? Play control shaman, this class has the best control tools at the moment. Add c'thun and hecklebots in your deck (4 extra cards, even 5 after you shuffle c'thun and bots to take out 2 cards from your opponent's deck). Use this list, play several games and you will notice you actually beat tickatus warlock in fatigue. Will you win most of your games? No. Why? Because aggro will crush you most of the time. So yeah, not tickatus is the problem in this meta, but aggro that got so much support. Dump hand by turn 3, play reader draw more cards. Rogues with only 2 cards in hand at the start of their turn? What about 8-9 and a board at the end of the same turn? 15 damage from hand each turn demon hunters or even worse, aggro DH that build a board, deal 10 damage to your face, clear your board and all these on the same turn. The support aggro decks received for the last few expansion is disgusting and control won't exist like this until the rotation.

posted a message on Any other control/combo player feeling completely demotivated to start a game against warlock nowadays?

It's funny because it takes only 1 card to show us people don't know how to play this game. Those who complain about tickatus don't hate the card but the fact that they have no idea how to counter it by playing a control deck and I understand such thing in a game where everyone googles the best meta deck, copy pastes the code and starts playing. You don't really see streamers playing control decks, not because of tick but because control got no support in the last few expansions, or maybe they don't like to play control. So there is no idea how to win against tick warlock as a control deck. I keep repeating myself, cards that shuffle more cards in your deck and avoid draws, that's how you beat them but again it's easier to complain on a forum.

And for the topic. I feel demotivated when I play against priest and warrior even if my deck has 70% wr against them. I hate those classes, not the decks they play. Tickatus doesn't mean auto win against any meta deck because there is a chance it won't hit any combo piece against combo decks or maybe some control players will know how to play around it. Its winrate is low (we don't talk about played wr because I suppose we all know how that works) and even the devs said they won't nerf tickatus knowing that this card is not the reason control decks don't see play at all. If a control meta will ever become viable and tickatus will be there to cause chaos, I'm 100% sure they will nerf it.

Instead Blizzard should reduce the turn timer since 2min is way too long anyway or maybe make a ranked mode with reduced turn timer.

Also they should reward faster plays instead of slow plays meaning more exp for fast played turns - like in chess where you want to make your move fast.

Also don't let BM emotes get to you - I laugh when people BM - normally im on top at that point and they have given up.

Yeah. I usually squelch them. But I find it dumb and it should be something punisheable. Competitive games should have BM zero tolerance. Hearthstone is the only one that actually allows it.

I just can’t believe some people here are actually defending this kind of behaviour saying “they are free to do it”... I guess you all are part of the problem and like to do that stuff. Who knows what kind of childhood you guys had...

By no means I don’t have any problem if they take their time for playing. But if they do it on turn 1 with no plays, and after they spent all of their mana... That’s BM.

Bro, if you squelch them there is nothing you have to be triggered about, it's your choice and you can't complain as long as you can avoid emote spam. Wait and see other games like cs go, lol, dota and overwatch where there are toxic enemies as well as toxic teammates with a public chat. At least in hearthstone you play solo and there is no chat room during matches. And the timer is fine as it is. I understand some people exploit this to get more xp but blizzard should never punish those who think their plays because of that. Back in cube warlock meta I literally was the kind of player who would rope almost every turn setting up a good defile, or trying to pop cubes or make the best trades, that deck was the definition of a puzzle game for lethal. Most of the times I wished my turns wouldn't end so fast because many rope moments led to my defeat. That doesn't mean I BMed my opponents and a report system would just result in people reporting out of frustration. If the system is automatic, there will be lots of banned people for no reason or blizzard will need a team to review 100.000 reports every day and I'm sure no one would like that.

atleast the other idiot said something that was true, even tho it was irrelevant it was understandable to come to his conclusion but you are just being horrible because you got offended by the word noob

if you got criticism feel free to explain it otherwise you will get disregarded like everyone else who are incapable of making arguments... noob

A crybaby will never stop whining. The point was to show you how every competent player has to play around certain cards, it doesn't matter if they are in your opponent's hand/deck/board/battlefield(secrets in this case). Of course it's easier to complain than actually playing around something, the good old story. Same with tickatus, you play control and lose to it? Put some cards that shuffle more cards in your deck: elysiana, c'thun etc. and don't use card draw in that match up. In case you didn't notice after all this time, even if they burn 10 cards from your deck the fatigue game is still pretty close because warlocks draw a lot. Thijs made a highlander mage and beat most of tick locks in fatigue but yeah, why would you think about a counter play when you can just cry on a forum? You can call me noob, I don't mind. After all, I'm not the one stuck in gold-plat.
