    Quote from Ninehills42 >>
N.4 : Standard format: Before GvG came out, I avaraged about 7 wins in Arena, after GvG, I avaraged about 5,5-6. The reason for that: A lot of GvG cards depend on RNG (Shredders, Bombers). As a decent arena player, my problem is that even though some players played way worse than avarage, they still won sometimes due to having better RNG.
So what you're telling us is that the extra RnG element was so much in your opponents' favor that it made you lose between 1 and 1.5 win per run on average, over a significant number of runs? Well then, either you are the unluckiest person on this planet, so much so that even Kripparrian would have to recognize "Okay, this guy is unluckier than me, " or there is another cause. Something like other players becoming better at the game so that you have less of an edge, for instance.

Imagine you're at an Italian restaurant and you ordered lasagna. The waiter comes back with a pizza. You tell him that's not what you asked for. I'm not sure you would like it if the waiter replied stuff like: "The chef doesn't feel like preparing lasagna any more, it's too complex and has too many layers. Why are you complaining about the pizza? You haven't tasted it yet. Calm down and give it a chance before sending it back."

I'm starting to hate more of the hearthstone community (I really hate saying this). But come on, blizzard is doing more changes this year to make hearthstone better (Talking more, and making more changes) and yet you guys yell at them for not liking what they said or doing. Do i like the idea of  a standard arena? no, but i'm not going to yell at blizzard or threaten to quit their game.

I might be wrong, but I think that if we give them positive feedback when they make a change we don't like, they won't know that we don't like it.
    Quote from Nellast>>
Blizzard even admits these changes could just be temporary ones
Fine then. I could just be temporarily on leave from Arena.
    Quote from Nellast >>
Just wait and play with these changes for a few months before you start yelling at blizzard or quit the game.
If I want to eat a cheeseburger and they tell me "here's one without cheese, but we might add cheese back later at some point," I don't need to take a few bites to realize that it's not what I ordered and that I won't like it.

Have you even played Arena recently? The classes are pretty balanced now. Warlock is slightly ahead due to Abyssal Enforcer(which they are addressing), but I'm able to get 10+ wins on almost every class.
Seconded. I remember times not so long ago when Warrior or Priest were no longer classes, but jokes, like Hunter is in constructed right now. That's definitely no longer the case.

I am absolutely disgusted. I play Arena precisely when I *WANT* to have a chance to play with every card ever released. Why they wouldn't at least give the choice between both modes is beyond me. Farewell Arena, them were fun times.

    Quote from Unforgiven_Joker >>

Also as it's said in the text, it's actully impossible to dust them after the move, you will get dust for them, but you cannot dust them afterwards.

    • Six cards from Classic are being moved to Wild-only.
      • You cannot dust these cards, but if you own them, Blizzard is going to just give you Arcane Dust.
      • You will only get the dust for the copies you have that can be included in a deck. If you have 3 Azure Drakes, disenchant one today.

So to answer your question, if you want them in golden, sure do it, but if you want some sort of free dust, yeah, that's not going to happend.

It might have been a poor choice of words on their part, because Ben Brode said the opposite on Twitter : https://twitter.com/bdbrode/status/832304105624178688

posted a message on Hearthstone's Arena Team is Testing a 20% Increase in Spells During Drafting
    Quote from Fortify >>

However for those who don't have time at the moment he talks about each class having a 'Custom Draft Pool'. This would mean that every so often the players would only be able to cards that Blizzard would have decided to be in that Arena set, but at the same time the cards you can choose from would be cards that work well together.

I am actually impressed by Kibler. I didn't think it would be possible to come up with a worse idea than Blizzard's Standard Arena, but he managed to do just that.

Forced standard arena is not a good idea, it is a terrible idea.  If you want Standard Arena, make it a separate mode.  I wouldn't play it.

    This. Very much this.

posted a message on What are the odds of missing your 1 drop?

If you're going first, there are 4060 (30!/(27!*3!)) different possible pre-mulligan hands, and 1330 (21!/(18!*3!)) possible pre-mulligan hands that are entirely made of your 21 non-1-drops. That is a 32.8% chance of having no 1 drop pre-mulligan.

Post-mulligan, if you keep nothing, you have again a 32.8% chance of still having no 1 drop. If you keep 1 card, there are 406 possible combinations of 2 cards and 190 of those will fail to give you a 1 drop, that is a 46.8% chance. If you keep 2 cards, you will fail to get a 1 drop 19 times out of 28, or 67.9% of the time.

Now if you go second. Pre-mulligan, 5985 out of 27405 possible hands, or 21.8%, have no 1 drop.

If you keep nothing, you have a 21.8% chance of still having no 1 drop. If you keep 1 card, you'll get no 1 drop in 1140 out of 3654 possibilities, 31.2%. If you keep 2 cards, you'll get no 1 drop in 171 out of 378 possibilities, 45.2%. If you keep 3 cards, you'll get no 1 drop in 18 out of 27 possibilities, 66.7%.

All in all, if you mulligan everything every time you have no 1 drop, you'll still end up without one in about 10.7% of your games going first, and 4.8% going second.

posted a message on Why Dirty Rat is indeed fair and the peak of concept

I think Dirty Rat currently wins a LOT more games by pulling Reno Jackson out of the opponent's hand than he does by pulling Emperor Thaurissan or Malygos.

My best Rat moment occurred when an opponent played in on turn 2, saw Ragnaros the Firelord hit the board and insta-conceded. Wouldn't have happened with the "nerfed" version.

posted a message on [Collector Needs Help]

The pity tracker website has a calculator where you can enter how many cards of each rarity you have in a set and how many packs you want to buy, and it tells you how many new cards and dust you can expect. It will give you more accurate answers than speculation here. I think in your situation I'd buy only TGT packs for as long as they are available, but you should check for yourself.
