I have always enjoyed playing paladin since GvG. When GvG rotated out of standard the power level of paladin dropped a lot. I was hoping with MSoG that there would be a resurgence of paladin, but after playing with it a lot it just doesn't seem to be able to hold its own against other decks. I have my own ideas as to why hand-buff doesn't work that well right now, but I was curious as to why other people thought that hand-buff paladin doesn't really work. What do you think hand-buff paladin needs or how does the meta need to change for hand-buff to be viable. If you think that hand-buff paladin is currently viable, why do you think so?
Just finished an arena run where I managed to draft 4 Bladed Cultist and a Hobgoblin. Let me just say when it comes to turn 7 and you can drop a 2/3 and 4 4/5's It's a pretty insane moment that usually ends with the opponent roping in amazement.
Looking over all of the legendaries for WoG I can't help but feel that they are a little underwhelming. Sure the Old Gods are okay, C'thun and N'zoth seem fun, but Y'Shaarj 10/10 for 10, pull a guy out is meh, and Yogg is fun but what are you really going to do with it outside Casino mage? Most of the other legendaries just seem boring. I would definitely play some of the class legendaries if I opened them in a pack but I'm not too excited over any card where I'm like, "Oh I NEED this card!". What are your thoughts on the legendaries ( Class and Neutral) this time around?
Not going to lie, more than a little disappointed that no new secrets came out with Whispers of the Old Gods. No secrets with GvG but then TGT had some so I was hoping for some in this set. Any other people holding out that there would be secrets in WoG?
When Eater of Secrets was announced I thought that it wouldn't actually see play because no one will really run secrets with mad scientist gone, and the threat of just losing them to eater of secrets. However this puts me in a catch 22. If people are afraid of getting their secrets eaten thne they won't play secret decks, but if people aren't playing secret decks then there is no point in running Eater of Secrets. So my questions are; Do you think you should run secrets? Are you afraid of Eater of Secrets? Would you ever run Eater of Secrets and if so when (qualifying your whens, i.e. if i see more than 40% freeze mage etc.)
Personally i think the value of secrets will go down after WoG and so I don't think there will be that many in play, so you should be able to play decks with secrets and not be afraid of having them be eaten.
Pretty hard to get off but if you do...... then it still gets taken down by hard removal. Blood of the Ancient One = Alright in Arena, no constructed play.
Can someone tell me whether or not arena will be standard or wild after the next expansion? I feel like i knew at one point but I've forgotten by now. Thanks!
It's probably worth it to keep playing arena for a couple of different reasons;
Arena is fun and the randomness of it adds to the good times you can have.
You are probably not losing that much gold from it and your dailies should be making up for whatever you lose.
You could just be waiting on the precipice. You said you aren't great at arena's but if you keep playing one game it might just all click for you and you could start doing great on average. This happened to me when I played CSGO and it was a great feeling once everything connected and I could start carrying in matches.
So just keep playing arena, take whatever packs you get, and dust whatever you don't want so you can craft some WoG cards when they come out.

Thoughts? BTW I don't think this will ever be tier 1, but keeping in theme how do you think it could be improved?

Looks.... Interesting. I'm surprised there isn't some evolve or MoE synergy with all the high cost low stat effect minions.

I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure it only say's "created by" when the card is actually played, not when you look back at the game history.

None of those decks you listed use any of the legendaries you listed except for tirion in secret paladin.
Just save the dust till WoG and use it then.

The spirit of Sludge Belcher is there, but the body is not. Bad card.

Use milk and make scrambled eggs. You're supposed to break the yolks on those.
