posted a message on Jade Pirate Shaman by Tylerootd

It's an aggro pirate deck at heart. It generally wins more match-ups than pirate warrior as it can reach a bit easier with spells while still throwing down just as much pressure, plus an aggro pirate that draws the nuts vs. an aggro shaman that draws the nuts, shaman wins every time.

posted a message on Pls. Blizzard make RENO JACKSON part of the basic/classic set!

Unfortunately, once reno is removed (because blizzard doesn't make exceptions), all of those "one of" style decks won't be able to float. They need to design another neutral legendary or two of (rip healbot too) that does something extremely similar or better (I'd love a meta with a neutral legendary that gives 30 armor, at the start of the game even). Hopefully those'll come before the phase out, because if not, extreme taunt heal priest, pirate warrior, and jade whatever-counters-stupid-wall-priest are the only successful meta decks that will exist.

In other news, Patches the Pirate  is a very safe craft if you want to play decks that'll use it. Almost guaranteed nerf for a quick 1600 dust disenchant when blizz decides to kill pirate aggro. BUT I may be wrong, since it's a neutral legendary, blizz may phase it out like they did for old murk-eye and captain's parrot OR give it the dr. boom treatment and just let it be a nuisance in the meta until it gets removed to wild.

posted a message on Why isn't VIrmen Sensei a beast?
    Quote from ArgentumEmperio >>

    He's a Virmin. Not a rabbit.

To further develop the explaination: Virmin is a humanoid race from The Wandering Isle and Pandaria. They resemble large rabbits or furry moles possibly. They like carrots but really any kind of vegetable is fine for them.

But they are a humanoid race, they can think and some of them are pretty darn clever.

Can bear form not think? Let's be real here, blizzard card design has some hits and misses. Deciding that some of the more beastlike humanoids aren't beastly enough to be beasts, but the druid transformations are is one of those misses.

posted a message on All-Star Squad - Tavern Brawl #70

so i crafted leeroy jenkins the other day, but that'll come in later.

i see that this brawl idea isn't the best one ever, go frostbolt mage, queue into whirling zap-o-matic shaman. I take some damage here or there, dealing 6 to his face through hero power while keeping his mechs dead, and eventually fall behind due to rng in the 8 cards. pull some good minions here or there that get immediately get dealt with, one in the form of hex and think "damn, i've lost", but draw polymorph boar and nab a quick 5 face damage evening it up. he somehow has another hex and deals with the boar, but doesn't have a mech to play. I deal a few more face damage before i have to start frostbolting his mechs again. we go into fatigue and the guy starts roping every turn. I fight the good fight since i've already calculated i'm going to win the fatigue, final turn i actually rope him back, hit myself in the face with my hero power and let my turn end nabbing the win. It wasn't fun or memorable and i won't be playing this particular brawl again.

i open up my brawl pack and pull a 2nd leeroy. the end.

Man some of these comments bashing this deck have like 37 upvotes on them, the deck is fishing for likes, not even savjz's deck, and it's got 90+ upvotes. Just adds up wrong, doesn't it?

posted a message on What happened to nerf requests?

I think wild should be completely unbalanced. 8 mana pyro and all.

I can't think of a card to nerf in standard and I don't like nerfs in balancing anyway. Buffs only pls.

Nerfing tempo mage before their keystone card gets rotated out of standard is silly, tempo mage is barely tier 3 right now, so stop pls.

I don't think the discount outvalues the replacement now. The only real sizeable roll you can get from tuskarr now is spellpower with the odd clutch taunt totem.

-2 tuskarr, +1 manatide and feral or feral and flamewreathed. Idk if tuskarr isn't replaceable anymore, but from the looks of things, they are now.

posted a message on Maly Warrior

Warrior has too much hard removal or almost hard removal for malygos to make any sense or be a better choice than any other standard warrior legendary. Fun deck or not, malygos in warrior is plain inefficient.

Idk if this dragon priest that's flooding the ladder is supposed to be a counter to this decktype, but... it's not very effective lol. 6-0 against them.
