Is that really 1 edit = 1 entry? I was wondering, wouldn't people make 500 small edits and get 500 entry tickets, then? Is there a way to control that?
You could say arena is more luck based than constructed because you are given random cards. I don't think it's any more skill based than constructed nor is constructed more skill based than arena.
You could say the whole game is more luck based than skill based. You can have a very bad hand and replacements, and first draws, while the enemy has a very good combo-friendly starting hand and simply rolls over you with better board control and mana efficiency.
It's part of the game really. The "limits" imposed by the Arena require a very specific set of skills, that not many have developed yet (no matter how much they are currently winning at the arena).
Yeah, just make sure everyone is one the same page and wants it.
Then we need to convince them that it's a feature that wouldn't hurt the more casual players that much, and that competitive PvP and CCG go hand in hand, so there's no reason to not have such features.
Going second seems to be giving a decent advantage if the player has quite a few Taunts and good "reactionary" (counter) cards. Going first seems to favor decks that have cards with Charge, and give an advantage later on in terms of hero power usage (a Hunter deck will always be ahead 2 HP with its power), from what I've seen so far.
How correct is that? Still learning the basics, so bear with me.
I think they want to leave more mechanic's for the future so they have "content" to give us.
I doubt that's the reason.
They probably just want to keep things as simple as possible. Although some could argue that not having a graveyard requires better memory thus making the game more "complex", harder.
I like emote system, prevent rages and abuse on chat, less work on blizzard report topics about toxic players.
^ this.
There's no need for a full fledged chat. The amount of people who actually talk about the game and are nice to each other is so small in these competitive games. I don't want to have to manually mute 80% of the people I play against.
The current emote system suffices. You can still kinda trashtalk (with the threaten and "mistake" option), and there's more room to be nice (well played, thanks).
If anything, they could expand on the current system (to add more variety to character quotes and more emotes), but that's it.

I have now watched quite a few of your HS videos. Your channel, sir, is shaping up to be amazing.
Keep up the great work!

The game is so much fun =D Just enjoy it now, get all classes to 10, learn all cards, try all combinations.
Worry about math and "bang for your buck" later, when the game is released and all the mechanics are settled down.

A Rogue with Assasinate and a Wizard with Polymorph would love to be against that =P
The feeling of frustrating your opponent's entire hand and tons of mana/potential with a single card must be amazing.

I saw a guy saying he would suck a rough ****... yeah, that's a bit over the top.

The RNG gods really smiled to that guy.
I'd rather have this luck at release =P

They also wouldn't be "beta testing" it. They would be pretty much releasing the game.
People need to grasp the basic concept behind beta test, because lately I've seen the most absurd views about it.

It's definitely a feature I would appreaciate.

I never understood why Rogues were saving the coin for their 4-5th turn. Powerful combos, uh?
Does it trigger "spell casting" abilities too? Or just combos?

Great idea... I support that.

Aaaaaaand another thread is bookmarked... (at least until I get the game and memorize all the fundamentals of it)
