If the timer bothers you that badly, shouldn't you just play Nozdormu in all of your decks?

Not sure if that was meant to me, but I'll make some observations either way. It's a 9 cost minion, by the time you can play that the match probably already took like 16+ minutes (with a slower player).

Second, the way people play Hearthstone, with very aggressive board control, well basically that isn't gonna stay on the board for long. Unless you're already stomping your opponent (aka it got to turn 15 and you're playing control vs aggro) and has like 1-2 more important targets for trades/removal. Hardly a viable solution. Third, it's a legendary... so yeah.

That doesn't take the merit from some of the observations made regarding turn duration =]

    anyways /rant off =P

Yeah, it was precisely what a friend (Bagstone) told me. "He won"

Maybe he wasn't even doing it on purpose. I really think it's an issue worth being looked at from a developer standpoint, though. If some matches are taking 5-15 minutes, and others are taking 35+ minutes, there's probably something not working properly.

Chess has a clock, HS can have a "match clock" too =P It tells players "look, when there's an easy turn, don't troll the opponent or it will come back to bite you later on a harder turn".

I've seen your video, and the way this deck plays is amazing. Big thumbs-up.

I like how secrets work on HS, and their potential for some really fun mindgames with the opponent. Can't wait to assemble a deck like this (when I have the dust/cards =P).

I really want emotes like GG ("that was a good fight..."), Yes ("that turned out just as I hoped..."), No ("Noooo.... how could you DO that?!"), Sure ("You sure you wanna do that?" - cool for when the enemy wants to race you on health), or simply more variety for the basic emotes (and less sarcasm than the current ones?)

But I wouldn't hit it with the "nerfhammer", I'd probably have it redesigned to reduce its random element (like 20-30% to draw at the end of the turn, and a draw a card deathrattle).

I feel like it "eats" too much damage for you, and with people drawing 4 out of 4 it can outright decide a game right there (if the enemy doesn't have a "quick response team" to deal with it).

I'm not sure if this has been posted yet.. But you don't break even if you get 50 gold from arena. Don't forget that you would get 10g per 3 wins if you invested that time into constructed, unless you hit your gold cap on a daily basis. So if you've earned 50 gold in a 5/3 run, you've actually lost about 17.7 gold.

Old thread, with old posts and outdated info. This was made with the old "max 9 win" arena system.

The thread been necroed (I see no reason for it), but I'm sure some people won't realize that and will read the first few posts nonetheless (I did, and then I found something "off" about the numbers).

Show us on the doll where the one minute turn touched you.

1 "one minute turn" is fine.

20 one minute turns, which usually sum up to a 30+ minute match (because of animations and your own turns) is probably one of the most infuriating things that can happen in Hearthstone.

I actually conceded a game yesterday (that was pretty much won, I just had to draw my 2nd fireball, with 4 cards left and the guy on fatigue) because I couldn't stand waiting any long (after 32 minutes).

Not just any Warrior murlock deck.

A control Warrior murlock deck, that fights for board control and card advantage... with 2 Gorehowls.

Don't worry too much about that. It's likely, if they added you after the match, that it is probably to trashtalk a particular play.

I don't think it's common for people to add others to congratulate them on how well they played or how fun the match was.

I've only seen it once, but I love the Void Terror. Its eyes blink, its mouths drool and there are even some leaves for extra detail.

For spells, Twisting Nether doesn't have only a cool "in-game" animation, the golden card is pretty sweet as well.

posted a message on "Well Played"

I usually start by greeting the opponent. I say "Well Played" when he actually does some good plays (instead of spamming it), and say sorry when the RNG hurts them.

If you're legit to your opponent, when you say Well Played to them in the end, they won't think you're BM-ing them. Quite a few players actually reply with a Thank You or a Well Played themselves.

posted a message on Starting to hate this game, can't win even one match anymore
@OP I guess that only shows that you can't simply "buy" your way into a high rank. It's not simply a matter of how much you spent on the game.
Also, 4 days against people farming for 3-4 months, DAILY (sometimes for 10+ hours, doing mostly arena and getting cards and dust left and right). What exactly did you expect? To spend 200 dollars and magically "get all cards" and own everyone in ranked? (some people with a lot more experience in card games than you?). You're clueless of your own situation...

New players are going to come in, hit the card wall, and be face with 3 options.

    p2w

    quit

    slowly grind forever

The ones who p2w, will continually keep hitting the card wall again and again, and be faced with the same options.  Eventually, most will get sick of it and quit, but Blizzard keeps the $.

It's like a scam!  They are pissing on us without even the courtesy of calling it rain!

I'm a new player... (in the sense that I only started playing one or two months ago, because I wasn't sure if there was going to be another wipe, when I found out, I started playing again).

I don't have even all the common cards, probably not 10% of all Rares, 0 epics, and maybe 1 or 2 Legendaries (weaker ones, like Antonidas and Onyxia).

Explain to me again how I can only have fun if I'm "placing high in a Ranked mode" (that still has no rewards) or only by "winning" (whatever the hell that means for someone like you)? Please, do explain.

If a new player is not having fun, and the only way they can have fun is by having a "fair" competitive game from the start (which, mind you, NO TCG/CCG will ever be), I have some bad news for these players. Either way, stop judging everyone as if they're all like the tryhard morons who can only have fun in a game if they're "winning" (again, whatever that means in today's games), instead of actually having some legitimately good time.
