I like the mechanic that you're trying to push and i think it would be fun. If i remember correctly last time during class competition you had to make the whole basic and expert set without mechs and only make a few for the other expansion (Asylum clear this up if possible please). I say this because it looks like you want to go for a bit of a mech theme. If not ignore that part. =)
The novice bounty hunter is quite good. You cold look at it as a 2/1 with divine shield but can be insta killed. Good on turn one but i think it would be ok as a minion.
Hammerhead, damn that's a strong card. By the way you should specify if you can use your hero power once per turn or not.
Here's the part I was writing before comes in. the last spell that repairs non mech minions will repair pretty much all minions if the rule I wrote applies.
The only thing I dislike about the class is the uselessness of the hp if you have no minions that have repair on the field.
I see what you are trying to do now. But I still think having to give up three minions for a one turn benefit is mediocre. Killing only two would make it too aggro so this is out of the question, and purely silencing the taunt minion might be too strong in aggro too... That's a really tough one to balance ^^
Also I forgot to add that you need to specify when targets are chosen randomly on the card text. Unless you want to target which die, but Hearthstone has no card that need multiple targets.
My favourite cards are by a country mile Mind Wrack, Phase Retreat and Twilight Duelist. Mirage Channeler is also cool but somewhat subpar because she has to survive one turn (Then again if she summoned the Phantasm at the end of the turn getting the charge one would be useless)
On a side note the artwork you chose (made ?) is absolutely gorgeous
That spell was supposed to kill 3 random illusions so i have to fix that =) thanks for noticing. Shatter normaly lets you choose unless it says random Illusions. The artwork is art of mesmers from the Guild wars franchise half of them is mesmer fanart and half is official artwork.
On the side note @MvonTzeskagrad I made two more cards, Illusions to be precise and will add them into the list.
YushyBushy, your class looks pretty nice. With the cards I see, it's still hard for me to see how good will Shatter be, as I can't see in the moment how many Illusions could you have active in a turn, maybe because of the thing youmentioned about the rules not allowing to post tokens, but maybe with some more Illusion minionsI could have made myself a good idea. At the moment I think all your minions are good or better, but most of your spells are underwhelming (the only one I think is ok is Phase Retreat), though I know all classes should have good and bad cards. Till the moment my favorite card is Chaos Swordswoman, as she helps me to see what do you need for a shatter deck to work.
Hey Thanks for the feedback.
Yeah the token rule is bringing this class down a bit, but i hope i can make it to at least the next phase so i can expand on it. And yeah the spells seem a bit bad but making them stronger or cheaper would make them too good if you ask me. I will make some more Illusion minions that will give you benefits if they are shattered so shatter will look a bit better as a mechanic. Thank you again =)
Your concept looks really cool, but I think Illusionary Leap is off... It looks like a zoo card but requires you to a) have three Illusions on the board which (as far as I know) are weak bodies, taking up almost half of your board space and b) sacrifice them.
Doesn't that seem quite counterproductive ? Either you flood your board with what are essentially Imps which is a waste or you sacrifice decent-sized minions to bypass the taunt only one turn ? I'd rather trade the three decent bodies away as they would be likely to kill the taunt for good anyway (Even Deathlord would be dead or close enough)
Thank you for the feedback =)
Well the point here is that since without a sacrifice this would be a broken tool for any aggro deck I had to make it a card that is not good for agro. I was planning to make more Illusions like Chaos Swordswoman that benefit from being Shattered, so this card could be played just for the big shatter. What cards did you like the most so I know what should i include in the submission topic?
This one equates to a 1 Mana lesser Healing Touch, but I have a feeling I should revise it to heal 1 less Health at the end of one turn, to make it in line with Healing Wave if the joust fails. Please let me know.
Lore-wise, Raikiri is a katana wielded by Tachibana Dosetsu, named such after he sliced a lightning god within a thunderbolt that struck him with the very katana, which then was named Chidori.
Basically a card everyone's thought of before (been there done that yadda yadda), but I feel like if the class were to lean towards control/midrange, this weapon had to be. Also the only non-basic to be in here. To be honest, I'm not sure if this should be in the Classic set.
As for Keywords, I may develop one as time progresses.
Overall, what do you think?
I may respond to others later on.
Well damn you really did the class well balance wise. Every cost, attack and health seems spot on if you ask me. Voting for you and hoping to see more.
Hmm people will eat it up due to tit being DB and the mechanic is good lore wise. But mechanic wise i cannot give you any advice (haha rhyme) because i saw only one card using your class mechanic.
Hi guys, after my defeat in the semi finalsof the last class competition due to my lack of time, I am back. And i need your help to decide what cards should I choose as example cards. I will post the cards i made as a spoiler so I wont flood make the post too big. Please do tell me what you like. =) Good Luck to you all.
Ok so I decided to do an existing class from another MMO called Guild Wars. I give you the MESMER.
Mesmers are magical duelists who wield deception as a weapon. Using powerful illusions, clones, and phantasmal magic to confuse and distract their foes, mesmers make sure every fight is balanced in their favor and their opponents can’t believe their eyes.
So let's meet the hero. Gwen Thackeray.
Captain Gwen Thackeray was a commander of the Ebon Vanguard in antiquity, and the founder of Ebonhawke.
Her Hero power is Summon Illusion.
It summons a random Illusion ( a new tribe exclusive to mesmers). The hero power will summon one of two possible Illusions. A phantasm or a clone. Both will die at the start of your turn so you can get at least some use out of them.
The class specific mechanic is called Shatter.
Shatter will allow you to sacrifice Illusions (from your HP or your minions) to gain activate the effect of a card.
The cards:
The first problem is that I want to make alot of cards that give you illusions, but due to the rule that i cant make cards that summon tokens i will have to do with what i have. Please tell me what you think.
Back again, and fixed my card's wording. (Had to drop the flavor, though.)
Give the gift that keeps on giving! Value!
As nice of a card this is it is unbalanced. You are giving your opponent a one drop in the early game which can and probably will be bad for you. I think you should raise the health or attack value by one since spider tank is a 3/4 mech with no drawback and a draw that will give an opponent a guaranteed play next turn is just too big for the stat line this card offers.
I'm actually quite proud of this one. Managed to restrain myself from making a super mindfuck card, so that's something.
wow I love this card, it makes so many rogue cards playable, the combo ones, the inspire ones. I think you found the perfect balance for it. There is probably one broken combo i am missing but oh well.
"She seduces from 8am to 4pm, but only during the weekends."
Currently warlock class lacks when it comes to five drops and this card is designed to remedy just that. Card is balanced around its risk factor (your opponent can discover ANY minion that's demon, including the legendaries.) However this minion is an excellent taunt and many demons the opponent can pick from carry a penalty (like a Flame Imp.) Has a good chance to trade favorably since its a class card.
Her own battlecry also is based around the idea that the most powerful Warlock's demons carry penalty with them to their player. Also I wanted to add something that fit to the whole idea of giving a gift.
Like it alot. I made a 5 drop warlock card as well for the same reason. It is balanced really well, and an interesting effect (getting my upvote, i like your card) but in terms of actual playability I would take lotheb over this any day.

@aaro54
Like the concept, but might be a bit op with secret keeper, Jedi reflexes could be quite op if you ask me especially in the early game.

Since when does midrange use explosive trap?
