Did anyone noticed how ridiculus is the winrate differences of Aggro-Elemental Shaman, Rush Warrior and Aggro Shadow Priest between 1st turn and 2st turn start? That isn't good. Game results shouldn't be dependent to a coin flip that much.

Aeris posted a message on The real "cancer"!Posted in: General DiscussionI mostly agree with OP.
It is all about balance. Recently, pretty much all I faced is either Secret Pala, or some kind of control-ish deck. Some druids now and then, but pretty much no real aggro decks at all.
However, the game needs diversity of all kind of decks, and despite many players saying the current meta is great because of the many control decks, I say it is not. It is just as bad as it was in the Face-Hunter / Aggro Pala era, just the other way round. (I ignore Secret Pally here since this is kinda special and OP).
Of course I enjoy long control war matches from time to time, but if ALL you get is some kind of control, it gets annoying, especially if you lose like 4 long games a row which will happen occasionally, and you don't get a single win in a whole hour as it takes that long for just 4 games.
Especially Renolock is more "cancer" to me then stuff like Aggro Shaman, as Warlock has access to a ridiculous amount of super efficient AoEs (Demon Wrath, Hellfire, Shadowflame, Dread Infernal, Twisting Nether), and you never are safe to play anything before you've seen them all - also you can't fully predict the deck. Hellfire and Shadowflame are guaranteed, but the others are not in every version of Renolock.
Aggro was "cancer" post-GvG when everything was Aggro, but it is not the playstyle itself - it is just about how often you face it in relation to other playstyles.
One last thing - I'm sick of hearing stuff like "Aggro is braindead and requires no skill." and "Control decks require skill". Both of which is bullshit. Hearthstone is a fucking super simple game once you know about all the current deck types, and it basically is nothing but luck with the matchup and card draw, as all the decision making is nothing I would call skill, given how limited your options are with the few cards in hand. I mean, how rare is it that you have 3 or more options per turn that are actually worth considering?

Skybloop posted a message on Why are people conceding at turn 5 or below when facing my freeze mage?Posted in: General DiscussionBecause most people in this game are just playing casually for fun, even in ranked their rank is just something secondary to care about. There is literally nothing less fun in Hearthstone than playing against freeze mage, they stop you from playing the game for 12 turns then point click on your hero with spells and win without any counterplay.
If you are playing a deck with heals/armor gain, then you can win. If not there is no point in even wasting time.

LordPikachuStarscream posted a message on Tell me one reason why you play Secret Paladin?Posted in: General DiscussionWhy is it that people actually have to justify playing a deck in a children's card game? It is not criminal to play Secret Paladin. It indicates nothing about a player's skill, and even if it did, it is not criminal to have no skill. It indicates nothing about a player's intelligence, and even if it did, it is not criminal to lack intelligence. It does not indicate a player's moral integrity, but what does indicate integrity is blindly discriminating anyone who plays a certain class in a videogame, calling them stupid\queer\a bad person\etc. This mindset is juvenile, ridiculous, and it is challenged by even the tiniest, most infinitesimally small iota of reason. And despite that, it's always coming from the people who claim to be the vastly superior thinkers. Bitch please.

LordPikachuStarscream posted a message on Paladin is most fun classPosted in: General DiscussionNo, I agree. Paladin is my favorite class, and it saddens me that some people are so blinded by an empty hate for secret pally that they can no longer enjoy seeing it or playing it at all.

I was expecting satire, but good for you! Personally I agree with Flamewreathed Faceless above, though. Don't mind playing aggro, but what I enjoy most are midranged decks. If the upcoming nerfs don't make them more viable, or at least tone down the combo decks, I'll just have to stop playing for my own mental well being. Pretty sure I won't be alone in that regard.

I meant mage, not priest lmao

The mage and warlock questlines stifle deck diversity; control decks can't really stop them and midranged decks/other questlines aren't fast or equipped enough to compete. So you're stuck playing aggro or these questlines.
Hope they're slowed down a bit, either through cost nerfs (incanter's flow, quest rewards, healing cards) or fundamental card changes (auctioneer, stealer of souls, dark glare, quest completion requirements)
Christ, mage and warlock are better at mana cheating than druid these days. So much for class identity

Hoping for some cost nerfs on healing cards and incanter's flow, at least. Let them finish their quest, but give the rest of us a fighting chance to kill them before they do. I can be watching Netflix and when I look back, they're still playing 12 cards at fking 6 mana.

I love playing against Freeze Mage and Aggro Shaman as they provide a fun and interactive gaming environment for all players.

Freeze Mage and its players can all die in a fucking fire. It's the most irritating and depressing deck to play against. They bar you from playing the game for ten turns. After that, they point spells at your face and claim that they're a good player, and that their cancerous deck is difficult to play. All of you fuckers just die along with your fucking cancer, and the game would be in a much better place.

I feel like the number of people "b'ming" is exaggerated. Personally, I don't run into a lot of emote spammers or ropers, and this is from Rank 25 all the way to Legend. Maybe I'm getting lucky, or you people are overreacting to stuff like the greetings at the start of a game, or the "well played" at the end of it. Even if your opponent sends out a greeting when they get lucky, or an "oops" for something unlucky/embarrassing, it's just friendly banter that is seen as an insult. Honestly, you people need to chill and treat Hearthstone like what it is: a game.

Eh... did your opponent have any minions on the board? If not, it should be 1 - P(Thaurissan is hit 4 times in a row) - 4P(Thaurissan is hit 3 times and only a single Axe Flinger is hit once, then the Thaurissan is hit again). Which is 1 - (1/3)^4 - 4(2/3)(1/3)^4 = 232/243. 95.5% chance for lethal, basically.
