I think it might also be worth it to try frost warrior. It got a lot of spells, and some of the neutral support is just really good.

Seems like an interesting build around. Much worse than curator though, because you have to have played the cards instead of just having them in your deck, and you need enough cards left in your deck after playing the spells, that you aren't overdrawing. Quest mage might use it. It's got ignite and stuff.

Actually, I don't know if quest has any interest in this. Yes, it benefits from spell damage, but it's also fairly expensive until you get flows on it, not to mention it can't go face after completing quest. I think it's a maybe. I almost think if fits better in non quest spell damage mage, because it isn't as focused on pure face damage once it gets spell damage.

I really don't understand how Rag is winning. It's a good card, sure, but the effect is so utterly boring and bland in general. There are non-legendary minions with very similar effects. Reno had a very unique effect for his time though, and created a huge number of archetypes.

    Druid

I really dislike this one. To complete it quickly you need a lot of cards in your decks you would not want otherwise with any current decktype. And the rewards don't seem very exciting. The final reward is just a one time thing compared to the other often gamechanging ones.

    Rogue

Not a big rogue player but this seems pretty underwhelming. Possibly even weaker than druid. But then again.. rogue has the tendency to create surprisingly strong decks out of mediocre looking cards so .. who knows.

The thing you forget is that both of these classes have ways to return or copy the minion, so a more powerful one time effect might even be better. Honestly, mark of the spineshell makes gruff so much better, as you can play him three times over a game, which is a lot of direct damage attack.

For rogue, if they want to, they have all sorts of bounce they could use on their reward. Is it worth it? Maybe, maybe not. But it's a lot faster to get value out of it.

    Its just 1 more damage

Yes, but is it one more than the spell ended up doing, or one more than was printed on that copy of the card?

It says shuffle a copy that deals "one more" and not one more with base damage. So, does it add spell damage every time too? In which case, that's a kingsbane level spell right there.

How does it work with neutral cards that discover spells and such? For example, the scorpion.

This is just warlocks weapon, but cheaper, always starts in your hand, has a bonus at the end, and can't be removed by weapon removal.

posted a message on How does Hearthstone stack up to other card games?

I don't particularly love any digital card game currently out. I don't care about ftp friendly, as I just prefer buying expansions anyways, such that you get every card (Without having to worry about random packs). Examples of this done in physical games are things like the netrunner LCG by FFG. I tried the LOTR ACG, (basically the same company trying to reach into the digital space, but there wasn't enough build around cards or synergistic cards for me to really be satisfied. Other than distribution methods, HS is probably the game I like best currently out in terms of mechanics. It's honestly really frustrating for me. (I admit, I've not tried Legends of Runeterra, but I refuse to install anything made by Tencent)

This is why I'm generally moving to other games. I stopped giving blizz my money, and found a game without the randomized packs part.
