They may have been involved in the artifact testing and just decided it's more for them. I know alot of pros were approach to try the game and it's being designed from the ground up for serious competitive play
Or more possible explanation they were paid to make a public announcement to create controversy around the game and attract attention to it. Obviously it's working.
Overwatch entered public beta only a couple months after TGT, and had been in development for years prior to that.
Don't confuse the release date of a game with the time a character in it was created.
Game that was years in developement is project Titan but it never saw the light of day and it was canceled after 6 years in developement. Scraps from that game were taken and Overwatch was created, but they are NOT the same game. Overwatch began developement in 2014.
And we know that Hearthstone dev team is working one expansion ahead. When Curse of Naxxramas was released, TGT was already completed and in a testing phase. So TGT started it's developement in 2014 as well, if not earlier.

But if you put in Soulfire your Spiteful Summoner becomes a joke. On top of that Machezar's imp is a good 1 drop on it's own.

It's just bad connection. "Your opponent" usually appears after you reconnect to the game and name is simply not loaded. Small indie company, eh?

Argent Horserider one doesn't make sense. The Grand Tournamenet was released one year before Overwatch. It can be the other way around.
