I would have been okay keeping Charge if it were Battlecry: Charge.  Same maybe for Rush.  But just plain Rush is a no.

The even only goes 14 days.  If you save 2 quests before tomorrow you can get a max of 16 free packs.  So it’s likely the 3rd, 7th, 10th, and 16th packs that are 100% WW Guaranteed.  Not day 3, 7, 10, and 16 like most are saying.

I’ve had this happen a lot, but I also get several requests that result in an 80g challenge as well.  It’s usually a negative experience, but I always except in case.

posted a message on Did Blizzard already gave up Odd/Even decks?

I don’t know if I’d say that.  If they release a ton of odd/even cards it really limits what decks those cards can be used in.  So they are keeping the odd/even mechanic limited to 6 to not limit creativity in deck building with the new set.

Probably no new Challenge quests during the event.  Don’t think they’d take it away if you already have it.

    Quote from Straits >>

It seems to me the odd deck going to be easier/more efficient to play vs the even cost deck for 2 reasons.

    1) Playing 2 or 4 odd cards in 1 turn allows you to spend an even turns mana in full, whereas with even decks you can never spend your full mana in an odd turn without the coin or some cost reduction in play.

    2) With odd deck it will be possible to play a card turn 1 no matter if you go first or second, with even deck you will always have to wait til turn 2 or use the coin if you start second.

For even decks you’ll be able to Hero Power for (1) on your odd turns.  Turn 1 you can also hero power.
Even-cost Paladin Dude decks are most likely the home for Greymane.

That’s assuming one or both of these legendaries becomes part of a top teir meta deck.

Still a chance that they’re less competitive and more fun.  In which case it won’t matter if you open them or not.

posted a message on Destroy mill decks

I was playing a wild combo lock that plays slow, came up against a mill rogue last night with Kingsbane.  He milled my Mal'Ganis and a few other key cards.  Still beat him with N'Zoth bringing back a board full of deathrattles after he had destroyed a lot of his own cards in the process.  Felt like the game was a display of how much skill mill decks actually take.  If he hadn't also milled his own cards as well as mine he would have killed me off easy with the resources he lost.  But because he didn't think enough about how many cards he burned a lot of his best cards and lost.

Good to know!  I haven't played much Wild in the past, but I might rethink that position with decks like this, and then cards like C'Thun going wild soon.  I know C'Thun hasn't been the strongest of cards lately in Standard but I love playing C'Thun decks.  If he can help me climb even the low ranks in Wild then I'm all for it!

The only Cube I've played in the 18 games with this deck so far is the Cube I stole by Dark Pacting my Sylvanas after clearing all enemy minions except the Cube my opponent used on his Baine.

14-4 so far with this deck moving from 19(**) to 13 (*).  Had a 4 win start, lost 3 in a row, then had a nice run with only 1 more loss right before hitting rank 15.  Back in the day I was never a fan of Warlock, probably because I was a noob and overused the self damaging cards, over tapped, and played too risky with the discard mechanics.  But in the past year or so I've come to really like Warlock, since I know a little more about what I'm doing these days.  This deck is definitely great for climbing the lower wild ranks.  I think I had one game against a Giants Lock but by the time he was able to play a few giants onto the board I had the lethal combo.  I would chalk that one up to bad draws for him and also playing his Naga Sea Witch when he could only play one other giant and I could kill the Witch right away.  Really stopped his massive tempo swing in it's tracks.  A few times early on in playing this deck I was so focused on the combo that I missed the fact that the spells on their own without Malygos were enough to win the game, but in both instances was still able to win, despite a Reno landing the next turn in one of the games and the Priest quest minion in the other one.  Having both Gul'dan and N'Zoth saved me in these particular match ups.

Planning on trying this in the Wild Brawl event, but I'm concerned that every opponent I face will be Giants Lock, since from what I keep reading, that's what dominates the top of Wild right now.

posted a message on Came from Wild to rank in Standard this season...

It happens in Wild sometimes too.  Right at KaC launch I had a Demon Lock deck that was climbing high up the ladder before the launch.  I tried it the day of launch without adding any of the new cards and faced nothing but Spellstone Big Priests.  Got emoted like crazy each game.  Later I decided to try a wild Spellstone Rez Priest deck, and after a loss the winning opponent friended me.  I thought, sure!  I'll accept.  I always do.  Sometimes people are really cool afterwards.  NOPE!!!  Wanted to talk shit about how playing that deck is brainless and I am a retard who should go flip a coin for RNG fun.  It was literally the first game I tried playing that deck too.

So the behavior can be found in both formats.  However, it's probably more prevalent in low ranks because they are likely younger or just stupid.  And it's probably worse in Standard because more of the younger players likely can't afford to buy packs so they dust anything Wild to keep up with the Standard meta net decks.  The behavior may spill into Wild, but I it'll probably always be worse in Standard considering my last point.

He ended up changing the list slightly to make the final push to legend rank in Wild.  Explains why and gives the updated list in this video.  I'm seriously considering making Kun, Aviana, and Malygos to start practicing with this deck before the Wild Brawl event coming up.
