I definitely think Halazzi, the Lynx is extremely important to avoid gassing out, and it just has such great synergy with every part of what this deck wants to do. Great idea to include the Sea Giants, I'll have to think about potential cuts to try them out. Do they ever feel clunky?
Which magnetic decks do you mean? My general strategy against big minions is to try to know when they are about to hit the field and have rush damage ready to deal with it. I agree if your opponent manages to make a big enough board there essentially is no way to deal with it except possible counter lethal with Unleash the Hounds.
To be honest all though it's a cool combo, the Plague of Flames + Rafaam's Scheme package looks clunky in a deck that already needs to hold 5 cards all game. The idea of the deck is awesome, but I think I'd swap those in favor of minions / stuff to do as mentioned above.
Sometimes it's best to take it slow and not play anything to give her a ping target, Control Mage has very few actual threats. Then try to set up for your own big swing-turn that they can't easily board-wipe.
They 100% are killing the hype and they do the same every expansion. Who ever it is at Blizzard that thinks its a good idea to drop a few cards followed by a week of silence is a moron.
What a spoiled kid.
Thank you for contributing, despite your best efforts alas my mind has not been swayed.

The problem with priest is that it's basic and classic cards are for the most part pretty underwhelming. This is especially important regarding boardclears, where priest and shaman are the only two control-leaning classes without efficient ways to clear the board in the "core" sets. So Blizz has to print on a regular basis powerful removal tools or it's not possible to make a control deck. I guess priest struggles most with this as shaman usually has some sort of token / midrange thing going for it at the very least.
As a wild player this bothers me a lot, priest is freakin OP in wild and that's because all of these powerful effects blizzard keeps giving the class to make it viable end up being funneled into 1 really powerful wild control deck (Big Priest) which is the scourge of the meta.
Warrior has Brawl, Warlock has Twisting / Hellfire, and Mage has Flamestrike / Blizzard / Frost Nova, so these classes already have some good things going for them removal-wise in any meta.
Awesome you found some use for Blackguard! Are you able to take damage consistently enough that your heal cards get regular value? I'd think about even including Truesilver Champion is your list for both heal + self damage outlet.
Cool! I haven't been at those ranks in ages, I assume the meta is way faster there. Do you feel you are able to maintain the buff train going by cutting that much card draw though?
Thanks! I had the Immortal Prelate in here for a while, but the problem with it aside from providing some protection for fatigue is that it doesn't have any abilities that utilize the handbuff immediately upon playing (taunt, rush) so it's easy for the opponent to ignore it. Also I don't think the semi-fatigue protection is too relevant. It's really cool though for sure. Maybe with cards like you mention Call to Adventure, but I don't want to add more spells / non-minions to the deck unless they are completely bonkers in here. Howling Commander has similar issues to the Prelate, doesn't do much with buffs itself. But hey man maybe you are piloting the deck a bit differently from me, so if it works for you that's great!
I haven't tried Arena Fanatic, I think it's simply too weak.

Perhaps some mix of Riftcleaver, Zilliax, Siamat, Khartut Defender and/or Bone Wraith ?

Don't really get the EVIL Genius inclusion, the only good target for it is Voodoo Doll but that seems way too narrow to include it.

I would think so.

Ended up making a few changes based on our conversation and testing. Thank you for your suggestion! The Ooze was worth the craft :D
