posted a message on Why tavern brawl is ideal for one of my hearthstone wishes...

Yeah it's clear that a number of brawls are just filler, but the hope that more casual play modes will eventually be introduced is the best thing about the brawls. I'm not saying I'm bored with hearthstone by any means, I'd just really like to see play mode expansions sooner rather than later

posted a message on Why tavern brawl is ideal for one of my hearthstone wishes...

So I've noticed that some weeks they just say blah blah random blah blah mana. I'm sure everyone is generally divided on each brawl, people are going to have their reasons for why each brawl sucks or kicks ass. I suppose when it was introduced it appealed to f2p players like myself because it was another way to gain cards and also occasionally let's you play with cards that you don't have, like in these random deck brawls where you get some class legendaries, etc.

I think from the more serious player's point of view it showed just how flexible the hearthstone engine is and how easily they can make changes to hand play options. Since the advent of tavern brawl there have been endless suggestions on what people would like to see, and I've had plenty of ideas myself. Now, I may be an optimist, but I'm hoping that somewhere begins the curtains the great wizard of Blizz is using these brawls to design future game play expansions such as the brawl itself. Obviously there wouldn't be much point in dedicating a lobby to the summoning portal game , but essentially you could have a number of different lobbies for different game play options including one dedicated to tavern brawl variants.

I think that even though the expansions are coming pretty consistently now, it is game play options that will attract new players and entertain die hards the most. Of course we act like hearthstone has been around forever... We talk about the undertaker nerf like it was years ago, when in fact it was less than a year ago. A year before that there wasn't even a hearthstone yet! Still, I can't help but wonder what blizzard has in mind for the future. It has become pretty clear that it's not too difficult for them to do whatever they'd like though!

So how about testing this idea on brawl mode, blizzard, then maybe one day giving it to us full time:     Pick your class, then build a deck using any cards from the collection including other class cards. Fun right? You know it's what we've always wanted to do, so let us do it!

Murloc Knight blew me away more than any others... When it summons another of itself things can get way out of hand...

Mysterious Challenger is my guilty pleasure of the new cards... I got ONE and built a deck around him, token generators and secrets! Super fun deck.

I also find tournament medic pretty fun, I have to admit, he's been useful, probably a shit card but I like it!

I have also had the displeasure of opening only 2 legendaries from 35 packs, and the were BOTH BOLF. Super sad face. He really sucks. really.

posted a message on New worst brawl; someone had to say it :)

I don't think itsTHAT bad... Definitely better than the webspinner challenge and refreshingly different (if not better) than any challenge that simply gets dominated by choosing Mage. This is a lot like Arena, and for players with small/limited collections it's really nice for them to have access to a lot more cards they otherwise wouldn't AND play them at the time they see fit. I've noticed I get at least 2 legendaries per game, plus a bunch of other great class cards. I can see where PAY 2 WIN players are pissed off because they cant just thrash everyone over and over, but I think that's fantastic for the game, so screw all you complainers. This brawl is for the MASSES. All the players out there who are new to the game or struggling to build their collection. Getting to try cards like Tinkmaster Overspark and Tirion Fordring gives a lot of players a chance to find out important game interactions and teaches them not to do silly things like waste their hard earned dust on Tinkmaster, etc.

As far as rewards, 2 servers were airballs, but on Asia, my brawl pack was: Golden common, common, patient assassin, shadowform, and deathwing! Not bad for FREE.

posted a message on Some help needed to improve deck

Divine shield minions are a bit slow, and cards like blessing of kings and sword of justice just yank it back even further. Def drop those 3 and a hammer of wrath for another equality, 2x muster for battle, and I would also suggest crafting that coghammer. These tweaks will speed up your deck and keep you pushing out your divine buddies faster :)

Could anyone give me some feedback please? :D Can of course give it back if you wish. It would be nice with quick feedback so I can make any possible changes :3

I'm kinda new at this, but I feel that considering how powerful the dragon form is, it should also have 6 health instead of 9? or maybe a reverse stat situation, make high elf 4/6 and dragon 6/4?

p.s. none of the questionable legendaries you have are THAT bad. Onyxia is a fine card and occasionally provides a come back, might be even better with Alex by her side ;)

Troggzor is awesome, and a total butt-hole and unless immediately removed is a huge douche, so def keep. I wish I had Neptulon so I could have a more legit Murloc deck, but nobody is kidding themselves, if it was that good we would have seen at least a couple people doing it by now. If there is a free 400 dust in that line up of bench players I'd say Geddon can go. Warrior grinders will disagree, and you might too, but hey, Sneed's could always drop him anyway, right?  ;)

posted a message on What legendary should I craft next?

ok well I guess this is the end of the thread thus far... I don't want to make this too exhausting to read, but here we go -

The most important advice you got in the responses were A) wait for the expansion, and B) don't make Malygos. The second bit of advice you only just got from me :)

I am a f2p player and I have an enormous amount of time on my hands, so I play on all 3 servers, with varying collections and plenty of painstaking mass disenchants and some absolutely poor decisions on what I did with my dust. I think when you make a Legendary card the investment is so high that its really worth sleeping on once you come to that conclusion, with the exception of Jaraxxus for anyone who takes warlock seriously. As I stated in the post above, you will absolutely never regret making him. Now, we know you have Dr B, Rag and Syl, which is huge, although I can say after crafting Rag twice, I am severely underwhelmed with him most of the time. Since day one of playing HS, I always looked at Archmage Antonidas as the dream Legendary and I wanted nothing more than to craft him and only him. When I set up my EU account I decided to save all my dust until I could make a legendary, which took some time, so who did I make when I got to that point?! Wrong. I made Malygos. She's beautiful, powerful, un BGH able, and absolutely garbage unless the circumstances are extremely well set up. This was also before BRM so no Emporer to aid the set up. Other ones I probably shouldn't have crafted yet include Sneed's, which I know you have and would still advise NOT to dust. Once you have it, keep it, its still a cool card. I agree that he's a bit goofy and hard to play efficiently in the current meta, but I'm guessing you've been trying to put him in AMAs spot in you mech mage like I once did... I've had Grommash since my first month of playing but I've never been such a huge fan of warrior that he's been a card I use on a regular basis. With the advent of Patron warrior and and even stronger Control warrior, you probably won't regret making him if warrior is your go to class, but unless you're a purist I advise against it right now. DO NOT MAKE HARRISON JONES. This would be a huge waste because there are much more useful cards you can make, even when there is such a strong presence of weapons in the game right now. Ooze is fine tech and a good 2 drop, whereas HJ ends up being an expensive Lost Tall Strider quite often. Think of how fail Kezan mystic is everytime you play anything but a mage or hunter.

So here are the cards that will make you happy:

If MAGE is your favorite class: Make Archmage Antonidas, but I would advise against it until you have the cards necessary to make the Freeze Mage. Mech Mage is fun but it really is lacking in quite a few ways and even AMA in't going to push you that much further up the ladder in that deck.

If PALADIN is your Favorite class: Make Tirion Fordring, but ONLY if you are in LOVE with the paladin class. He truly is one of the best legendaries in the game and will be your MVP in paladin most of the time, however, unlike Lord Jaraxxus, Tirion can be silenced and easily removed a number of ways, so if you go in on this one, be ready to watch him die quickly and often.

If WARLOCK is your favorite class: As stated above, the one legendary you absolutely will never regret making.

And that's it. I honestly fee that these are your main considerations when crafting any of the mentioned legendaries. No other class legendary is so good that they should supersede the need to make any other card you feel that YOU would get the most use out of. Each of us have different ideas about the game, and different collections, with different goals. My question to you is WHY? Are you hoping that if you make Antonidas and play every day until you eyes bleed that you will finally make legendary? Fine, go for it, and good luck. I just can't play that way. If you are trying to figure out which card you are lacking, that will most improve your COLLECTION , VERSATILITY, and overall ENJOYMENT of the game, well then, there's only one answer. ALEXSTRAZA. Good luck, let me know what you decided to do :)

posted a message on What legendary should I craft next?

I will be weighing in with more at the end of the thread, but I will just toss my two cents in here: I was walking some f2p players through the legendaries last night, and there was one truth that was spoken and will probably always be consistent in Hearthstone, YOU WILL NEVER REGRET CRAFTING JARAXXUS. He's just that good. If you play handlock, or enjoy warlock in general, Jax is the absolute MVP of the warlock class. If you got the dust burning a hole in your pocket he's a definite, and if you are trying to achieve the highest level of warlock play he is a MUST.
