Just shows you how lame this meta is when the majority of the "fun and exciting" decks are from the same classes that are dominating the meta.

ShadowsOfSense posted a message on TRIALS AND ERRORS (Class Creation Competition #5) - Phase V [Final Poll]
Welcome, Semi-Finalists!
And all our lovely voters, of course. It's been an exciting few weeks, hasn't it? A new expansion has released; the World Championships have recently concluded; Avengers: Endgame released and everyone has been dodging spoilers since; exam season has started; and in a few hours, Winter is Coming.
With all that going on, it is impressive that our contenders pulled their classes together as well as they all did. We asked for new Baku Hero Powers this Phase, and just by their quality alone you can really tell how well-designed our semi-finalists are. Good luck to you all! I can't wait to see who makes the final.

Kla_guy posted a message on Hall of Champions - Tavern Brawl #202Posted in: Tavern BrawlOk, after playing a few of these brawls and some self-debating, here are my conclusions.
- Speaking in general:
- It's kind of fun to play in some champ's shoes, so to speak
- It may be fun to play the pre-nerf cards and combos, ok
- It might even be fun, albeit to some extent, to see decks from different epochs compete;
- BUT the above is totally spoiled by the complete and utter umbalance in power-level. What chances does 2014's Chillwind Yeti stand against cards from, say, some 2018 deck? Next to none. Which in turn ruins the whole experience, sorry about that.
And please don't tell me "it's a brawl, this is only for a classic pack / 40 dust / some fun".

Dunscot posted a message on Hall of Champions - Tavern Brawl #202Posted in: Tavern BrawlNice to see some old decks and old cards the way I got to know them (especially Innervate and FWA), but balance is kinda messed up. I played with Jade Druid against Freeze Mage. He dragged it to Turn 18 or so, where he finally realized that his Alex dealt 14 damage without scratching the 50+ Armor I had. It's probably a worse Matchup than even old Control Warrior.
As for replayability... it sucks you can't choose which deck you want to play, and it's not a Brawl for completing quests.
It's alright, but not super exciting.

Very, incredibly, strongly, highly, disagree. To the fullest extent of a disagreement.

Kubla posted a message on Clarification on Rise of Shadows Free Packs Quest ChainPosted in: NewsYou always put disclaimers about data-mined information. All disappointment belongs to the reader, not the poster. Thank you to everyone who works so hard on this website. We appreciate it and we appreciate you all.
That being said, I agree with everyone that it would be nice if Blizzard was a little more generous with the packs. But free is free. :)

oopsnevermind posted a message on Disenchanted all rotating cards. Let's go, baby!Posted in: General DiscussionIf someone has no interest in wild, there's literally no reason to keep the cards. You can win tavern brawls without.
I'm not interested in playing against the likes of Big Priest again, so will probably never play wild. I may disenchant my cards, I did last time and haven't regretted it. I'll make my decision after I open my 100+ packs and what my legendary pool is.
Each to their own.

BiliPiton posted a message on Disenchanted all rotating cards. Let's go, baby!Posted in: General DiscussionI`m just about to do the same thing.
I have thought about it long and hard, read these and other forums a lot, and came to conclusion that for a poor fag like me, that is the way to go.
Wild seems to be a cesspool right now, and from the looks of it, it will only be getting worse.
I know that getting 33% of the dust invested (remember, there is HoF-ing, so you actually get 33% not 25%, unless you have insane amounts of cards) sucks, but for people like me who don`t have a large collection to begin with it`s not even that great of a loss.

I got this card in a pack a while back. I couldn't bring myself to disenchant him and finally found a use for him in a fun druid deck I put together.
Turn 7 board full of Cenarius-buffed whelps. GG.
2
Tell me more about how this isn't a terrible draw and all I have to do is sap face to really turn things around.

I want to plus this deck for the title alone and receive Yogg-Saron, Hope's End into my heart but I will have to playtest it first, to be sure.
3
Took many tries but eventually Bloodlust, windfury and Rockbiter Weapon turned it around.

Finally! Buffed a Deathlord nice and good. Didn't even need Kel.

Made rank 10 with this deck in March 2016.

Good riddance...

This card only exists in other peoples' collections. And my dreams.
