IambicAvenger posted a message on New Card Revealed: Skulking GeistPosted in: NewsThere's a lot of legitimate concern here about this Jade Druid counter having negative side effects for other classes, but I can't help but wonder if this card will actually need to see any play. The mere existence of Skulking Geist makes Jade Druid a deck people probably won't want to run because they know that the meta can and will easily tech them out of existence. If the threat of Skulking Geist has the same effect as playing it, it might never need to be in a position where it screws up other decks.

Magiicguy posted a message on New Mage Card Revealed: Ghastly ConjurerPosted in: NewsRealistic? Is is realistic to be obnoxious and tell people to learn what tempo is when he doesn't understand the point of the card himself? I won't run mirror image directly in the deck because it's not good enough on its own, but I'll happily take a card that gives it to me and contributes to completing the mage quest. I'm not talking power-level of the card here, because we simply cannot tell as of now, but simply understanding what it's about should be a minimum before high-hatting people.
By the way, negativity is actually sort of a trend here in hearthpwn, we've seen that in every single expansion card spoiler period. So saying people downvote because the comment was negative is completely nonsensical.

OldsFirenza posted a message on New Rogue Card Revealed: Plague ScientistPosted in: NewsGreat card. Will absolutely see play in Constructed. Not saying it's necessarily part of a Tier 1 deck, but there will be Rogue variants that run it.
Kripp is guaranteed to do three videos on why it's fucking up Arena.

brosNgaming posted a message on VolcanoPosted in: VolcanoQuote from KarabelasReal >>Control shaman has been a viable archetype for months now. Multiple people have hit legend with it, multiple streamers have played it in legend, there are multiple guides on reddit and also here by LEGEND players (also two as of this moment), but sure, I guess control shaman doesnt exist because a random poster who claims to be legend but probably has never even made it past rank 15 says so.
Crawl back to your hole man.
Thank you^^^ -

mastertygon posted a message on Max McCall Talks About Charge and Taunt - Concerns, Experimentation, and ExecutionPosted in: NewsOh yes, because midrange and aggro are so "interactive." If Shadowverse, a much better balanced game (no matter what you think of the game, you have to agree it is better balanced with games that usually last 10-20 turns compared to Hearthstone's digusting turn 5 lethals that rely a lot on RNG), is that combo is not a bad thing. Is takes usually 10 turns to set up and even then, they usually do not kill until turn 15ish. Combo is the natural counter to control.
Blizzard thinks "kill the control opponent fast!" is the way to beat it. This is not the way a game should be balanced. Control should have actual answers to aggro, combo should be able to beat out control, and aggro should keep combos in check. This is how Hearthstone used to be, too, but now, it is 4 midrange decks that can also be aggro and win on turn 5, full-face decks that win turn 4-5, and an inconsistent Renolock deck that does not win as often as other decks. Blizzard has stated they "want to encourage all playstyles" and this....this is just them trying to completely kill one off when it is the most balanced of the styles out there at the moment. It really is sad. I personally find combo decks to be the most interesting and thrilling not only to play, but to play against and I know I am not alone. Combo is not the problem. Making combo insane and the only playable playstyle is obviously not the way to go, but neither is destroying it. It serves a purpose and Blizzard needs to realize this.

stealth would have been more flavorful, but this will do.

this is actually just really bad. you don't really care about the body because mages doesn't have any buffs to make this card. i don't think you'll run this in a midrange elemental mage because not only do they not play flamestrike, they don't want to run firelands portals because they want to play blazecallers. Even if you were to put this in a control mage deck and you get to combo this with flamestrike, how much mana worth of value did you get from this? only 2 mana worth of value (Healing touch heals 6) AFTER turn 7. yes it could stick around, but thats wishful thinking. This would only see play indirectly through Servant of Kalimos which could help in those aggro matchups but thats about it.

i really wish moorabi had more stats as it is a big roleplayer in the archetype. i think shaman class cards are going to be in the shithole again this expansion because they all look like really bad standalones and aren't even that good when you combine them with synergetic cards. the current token/evolve shaman is only viable because of the neutral cards it got from un'goro, not from the class cards from un'goro. shamans need like frost nova and corrupting mist stitched together into 1 card to push the archetype. right now all the freeze cards are understated/overcosted while also being low tempo. they need some kind of swing effect in order for this archetype to work.

if priest or taunt warrior becomes rediculous, this card will see play. idk, i guess if you draw patches and you have this card in your deck, you don't feel as bad. i feel vilespine slayer is enough but i guess more "destroy" effects can't hurt.

i want to play with neptulon in standard. remove the 2 overload to make neptulon up to date with the current power level of standard . should help quest shaman decks ^^

a lot of people hate priest because they steal your shit. it feels extra bad when you lose to your own high cost mana legendaries. entomb was one of the most obnoxious cards ever released. Because not only did you have to deal with your own legendaries but also the high cost legendaries the priest put in his deck which is just not fun to play against. Priest is actually really easy ever since wild pyromancer got cut, not a lot of people play priest because priest doesn't have a aggro archetype.

if the poll was reworded to which class is hated the most, the poll would be basically the same thing.
