First of all, it's not an otk. It's more like Raza priest, which requires certain cards to be played prior to make it work. Secondly, any fast-ish deck beats it pretty reliably. Baku Hunter slaughters it, all aggro pallys flatten it, and even tempo mage, which lost a lot in this rotation, beats it without too much effort. The problem is not that it is broken; it's the turn timer thing. I've never met anyone who wants to sit for 30 minutes waiting to die. Especially not control players who already have longer games than normal
The meta takes time to settle. Imagine if they had nerfed the hunter quest the third day it was out... Theoretically, there could be a shudderwock hard counter deck that no one has found yet
Iam legit super sad cause these shaman mains who abuse this stoopid deck says pls no nerf fine deck while the enemy CANT win in a control matchup when he cant play faster
Shaman mains or abuser be like: card is not super broken because uhhhhhh... RIGHT U NEED TO DRAW IT FIRST (XDDDD) and aGgRo counters it woooo ok i guess this cars is fine LUL legit braindead community x d
Ok, getting countered completely by aggro is actually an important weakness of the card. You basically just said "this card loses to the majority of ladder, but it beats me so it's broken and needs a nerf".
If the reason you're playing Gul'dan is to resummon a 10/10 that's already destroyed the opponent's deck and been dealt with once, it's just not worth it usually.
I bet it'll be a one-of in hunter decks now. Is including two of those good for a hunter deck? I don't think so, and it certainly is trash in any other deck
As much as I hate patches, I think removing charge was a bad move. I would've required 2 pirates to be played or something along those lines. If they did that, you would see far fewer of them on turn 1 but he'd still be a useful pirate.
He's still very good in a full pirate deck. He's just not so good that you'll be putting a pirate package in every single aggro/tempo deck -- which was exactly their goal.
The issue there is that full pirate decks are no longer good, because of a couple of other nerfs in the past (Win Axe, STB, etc.), so Patches is effectively a dead card. Besides, the main reason those decks existed in the first place is because of Patches, and is a 1/1 that gets auto-summoned from your deck without charge good enough to sustain that archetype? I'm skeptical of that.
Summoning 2 animal companions is great in spell hunter, but that doesn't make the card good. The card itself is terrible and only playable when you force all the minions out of your deck.
If it fits in a good deck and is good in that deck, then it is a good card. Maybe not in a vacuum, but we don't play this game in a vacuum, so your point is completely irrelevant.
He's overcosted by 1 mana, but I have seen priests and hunter still run him. Hold onto him till he rotates out. If you dust him, you might get him again anyway. Tirion is broken OP, but paladin is getting nerfed with murloc warleader.
Yeah pally gets nerfed now, but Tirion has a place in every pally deck ever and always will

I don't know that nerfing Grumble will definitely help; i feel like people will just find something else stupid to abuse with shudderwock

That's not true. It doesn't show the Shudderwock Battlecry explicitly, but it still plays all of the battlecries which the earlier wock played

It won't be any good while we're stuck in Spellbreaker meta, and that won't go away until a nerf or control lock dies

That's honestly super true. Homunculus, some imps, and the Rin trash tokens aren't really worth 10 mana.

I'll just continue like he said Mark of the Wild was a basic.
