No one. We talk cheapest meta deck. Patron and face hunter costed 700 dust. Say, you acquire dust twice more efficient now - what meta deck can you craft with 1.4k dust now and use it for minimum 3 months with high win rate? I'll tell you - not a single one. So stop arguing game is cheaper now.
I've done the Math for myself and based on that I am saying the game is a lot more expensive now for new players. If you want to do the Math yourself here are the steps to follow:
1) Calculate total dust needed for all standard cards
2) Calculate total dust needed for cheapest meta deck
3) Calculate the average income per hour for a new player
Absolutely! I wrote this in another thread before - if they go the greedy way of just milking cards and pushing power creep with every patch to increase their income, they are GOING back to the ground in no time. HS needs more modes and things to do with your collection besides copy pasting meta decks ASAP.
I never understood why they need to reward winning... They should just reward playing instead of that. Like for every 10 turns you played against a real opponent, you get 5 gold and thats it. You can play all the decks you want, you can have fun and/or experiment with silly cards, and its still fine, they still reward you because you are playing with their game.
Rewarding winning serves for a more skilled game, but as of now (with all the cards a new player has to collect), rewarding raw time might be better - or at least for players who registered since less than two years. Maybe we really need something like this - a new player to have a special status, just like for the driving license in real life.
”Because it hasn't been changed since start/beta.”
I hope you get it now.
This is what I said. I suggest you re-read the thread again, you are missing things here. The whole point is - the game is more expensive now - if you put the same hours as before, your wealth (card collection) is going to be relatively less compared to start/beta.
TL;DR: there are some positive changes to hearthstone economy, but when we consider all the datails hearthstone is still getting more expensive and harder to keep up as f2p player.
+1. Also, the average skill of the players raised by a lot since start/beta, which in the end means longer games and even less gold per hour than before. Another way to solve this would be a mode with short turn time, but that won't come for sure. So, raising the gold per win is really needed and won't do any harm at all because of the 100 gold daily cap.
Because it hasn't been changed since start/beta. And now you have more cards to craft meaning the game is harder for new players. By raising the gold from 3.33 to 5 per win you are making it less time consuming for new players. The cap of 100 gold per day stays in place - you just reach it by winning 20 games, not 30. And this is super motivating for new players since each win for them is a lot harder to achieve.
That's actually better than what I put on the card, would that require a stat change on Illidan? He was supposed to become more powerful after killing a demon
With stat change will be imba. Maybe 10 cost then.
META decks "kill" all other already released cards in the game and create a boring game without much deck experimenting/building. We need a new mode with the new ladder that is coming later in 2018, which would:
- Match players with OFF-META decks against others with such
- Give an option for a class/card ban
Explanation: A deck has 30 cards. Each card has a percent of usage in the last 24 hours. Your deck is considered a META one if the sum of the percent of usage from your cards goes above a certain number. In this case you will be matched against another META deck.

The reasons are:
- More gold per game making it easier and less time consuming for new players
- An ability to make your total gold an even number without playing Arena

I'd prefer Battlecry: Silence a minion and destroy it if it's a demon.

@OP: +1, Casual should always be a mode for having fun. META decks destroy the fun. I speak about a very nice solution here:

@OP: Hunter is for good and skilled players, board clears are a noobish way to win the game, if you enjoy them just play Priest.
