Mech paladin is still great against the fun police (Warriors). Micro Mummy is the only card from the new set you realistically need to add to the deck although Subdue is also excellent
Why no Kangor’s Endless Army? Even though it’s bad with SN1P-SN4P it would potentially give you a board after Warrior clears it with Brawl and/or warpath
I have finished the priest quest on turn 4. It definitely does not take ages when everything lines up. Priest isn’t tier 1 by any means but they now have some tools to be competitive
I remember having like a 58-60% win rate with it first 3 weeks of the expansion. Now I'm down to like 40-45%. What happened?
I'm talking about the big variant, conjure's caling mountain giants together with Khadgar for 4 huge giants, often becoming the 7/8 with taunt.
Rogues were nerfed. No rogues means warrior's main prey is out. Which means no control warrior. No control warrior means your mage now has less good matchups
Meanwhile, cyclone mage is the new best deck. It's basically a better version of the book of specters giant mage and weak/strong to the same stuff. People will naturally want to counter the best deck. Your mage is now facing a lot of bad matchups
I personally believe that Cyclone Mage is very overrated. The one that is more controlling with doomsayer and frost nova is the best version imo
Give it time. Mages will find a tier 1 or a deck that can at least compete with Warrior
I am having success with my Big Hand Mage right now 7-5 against Bomb Warriors (the times I have lost is when I don't get Earth Elementals early enough and/or die to bombs lol)
Well to answer the OP question, I would have to say the most difficult deck I played in the past was Oil Rogue. You really had difficult decisions to make every turn and you absolutely had to control your opponents board to win. But the most satisfying deck to me was Handlock. I just loved putting together a huge board and beating down the opponent with giants while at the same time shutting down aggro with taunts.
Zoo always finds a way to exist, not sure exactly what form it will take though. Hand mage might survive, I saw Kibler piloting a new version of the deck on the stream today. Shudderwock is still legal so maybe some kind of Shudder Shaman will rear its head? I don't think any previous version of Priest will survive (but maybe someone will prove me wrong).
Just started playing Borderlands 2 again because of all the news out there about the sequel! Also just finished the first two Remastered Metro 2033 games on Xbone and they are quite good. As for other card games I do play Eternal and Mtg on occasion.
Any CCG, physical or digital, that lasts for 5 years or more is a success in my opinion! Most new CCG's don't last nearly that long. For example, I don't think Artifact or Gwent will be around long just looking at their numbers.

I ranked up from 9 to 4 with a Pirate Bomb Warrior. I did not try to dilute the deck with bomb stuff just had them in for extra reach.

Who cares? All CCG's do this to some extent, most of the time accidentally, lol.
