I fear shaman may have once again been overestimated in ability. I am having very limited success with a variant of this deck, much less than my usual midrange shaman =(
edit: I did live this turn 4 dream though which was nice!
Midrange shaman is by far my favourite deck to play. I hit legend 6 months ago playing nothing but a midrange shaman deck but in recent months I feel the deck has struggled.
Yeah shaman feels like its falling out of the meta - I went to rank 6 playing 90% shaman and now I have dropped back to rank 8 on a 11 game losing streak...most games arent even close either
Which do you feel is better in a midrange shaman deck? I crafted Boom first just because he sees use in other decks, but he seems very strong in Shaman too. Not really thinking it is worth crafting him right now - just wondering if many have had the opportunity to use both and/or can give an argument for the use of one or the other?
Yeah I'm still around and still 90% shaman player, actually hit legend last season for the first time playing exclusively shaman :)
I'd like to do that again! Haven't had much time this week to play GvG but as someone said in a previous thread, Dr. Boom looks a bit better than Neptulon in a deck without other murloc synergy - no overload and two minions in play which trade very well.
Seriously let it die. Blizzard has said time and time again that this style of gameplay does not fit what they want in the game. Even if you somehow make miracle work again, it will only be 'fixed' once more.
SO hyped, I have been playing for 13months and almost exclusively shaman in that time (have had golden shaman for a while now) and have tried a few different decks, but this one is so polished and I did not make any changes to it all season. Only took 219 games @ 62% winrate.
Just thought I would post to let fellow shaman players know that you do NOT have to join the cancer! The above deck is so consistent - the ONLY class I had less than 50% win rate vs was miracle rogue (5-7) Don't lose faith and play hunter/zoo, shaman all the way feels so much more rewarding than playing a cancer deck =D
I am thinking so (midrange deck) for the early rush defence (i.e. zoo) but if you are trading minions with say a flametongue, there is more value to be had with the creeper. It also survives AOE clears.
How do I win??? I have an abysmal win rate vs this deck (like 20%)
They barely play any minions, anything large I play is sapped, anything small is flurried. I am not quite sure what to do here, they often draw their entire deck before I can win
I have lost to every miracle rogue I have come across today, unless I get grommash + task as soon as I need it they draw their entire deck before i can kill

I think Fireguard Destroyer is a fantastic card but not so set on Lava Shock. \
This is the deck I have put together but it certainly feels lacking and open to any suggestions;

Because these games are determined by your starting hand, not skill

I have been facing a ton of aggro decks, are you sure there shouldn't be a second storm in there? Maybe in place of a harvest golem or shredder

I remember when everyone used to say Al'Akir was terrible and no one will ever use...
