I  hit almost hard pity on every legendary. 133 packs = 5 legendaries

Shit happens. I'm actually just sad that i didn't get any legendaries for my favorite classes.

Thanks for not only letting me know that you have an important minion in your hand but also which minion it most likely is. :)

Playing control in standard just sucks these days.
You either highroll and draw most of your removal on curve + get good stuff via discover or you get completely obliterated by pretty much every deck that sees play.
All it takes is 1-2 bad draws + no answer in hand at turn 4-5 and you most likely die on the next turn. If you have all the answers however, it feels like your opponent never stood a chance.
I either feel like i didn't deserve to lose or like i didn't deserve to win because RNG is by far the biggest determining factor in any game that involves a control deck right now.
It honestly just feels like gambling at this point.
They completely ruined the control archetype and i understand the frustration on both sides because it sucks to play and to play against it.

If they draw some of their key cards on curve it's very hard to beat if you're playing any type of control deck because of their ability to gain huge amounts of armor. You simply die to fatigue dmg before having a chance to kill them. Any meta aggro deck can easily rush Mill Druid down though and that's why you don't see this deck on ladder.

Since this is in the wild section, and I play wild ladder most of the time, I have a little more insight. Mill Druid was popular in wild after it was released with the Maw and Disorder mini-set, but mostly vanished in the current meta. But like all old decks it pops up every so often on the ladder. During the time it was popular I ran a Quest Priest deck that was a control deck, it did very well against them after I played against it a few times. Armor is useless against a Quest Priest once the quest is done, and thinning out a Quest Priests deck only makes the shard that destroys the other hero easier to find. The trick is to make sure you have the remaining cost cards to the complete the quest in your hand and dump the rest till you get them.

My bad, i should've written "any type of pure control deck".

Why doesn’t this forum highlight whether people are talking about standard or wild in a specific forum?

It does and if you look above the thread title you can see that this thread is in the wild format category.

I was about to ask what is this guy on about because no one’s running dew process in standard ladder.

I play mostly casual mode (standard) and i face Mill Druid from time to time.

What is going on with their EU servers? We have to deal with dc's constantly since years and they do nothing about it. The game is unplayable sometimes because you get disconnected every 5 minutes and that's not even exaggerated. I have never played a game which had such bad connection issues + so many bugs on top of that.

I don't care how small their team is. They need to finally fix their game. It got so much worse since i started playing in 2017. This doesn't feel like a final version of a game at all, more like an early access title.

It's such stupid game design to give board flooding decks stuff like Shadow Suffusion or other buffs that make wide boards resilient to removal or force you to remove every single board immediately.
As if it isn't already difficult enough to deal with these types of decks that build wide boards for cheap mana every single turn.
It's so frustrating to play against aggro decks these days.

Just got completely annihilated by a Tony meme Mage deck.
The whole strategy behind their deck was to play a bunch of cheap minions + Tony on curve.
After that you're drawing nothing but their shitty cards while they increase the pressure with your own cards.
And when you finally manage to deal with Tony they also have a few burn spells like Pyroblast in their deck to close out the game.
Honestly it's kinda genius even though the whole plan falls apart if the opponent can immediately remove Tony.
Unfortunately it took me 4-5 turns to deal with it and they also drew the Pyroblast on curve.
It was very frustrating to lose this way but i have to applaud my opponent for being so creative.
It's been a while since i played against such a unique standard homebrew deck.

Big Demon Hunter is just rez priest in disguise.
I get that you run out of ideas at some point but that's no excuse for bringing these super annyoing deck types back.
Same with the Togwaggle copycat druid.
Nobody likes playing against these decks. The fun is always one-sided in these matchups.
You either play a deck that hard counters them or you fight a lost cause.

Edit: Oh and f*ck this stupid Ragnaros Shaman deck. You need an absurd amount of mass removal to beat that deck. Hyper aggressive decks have realistically more ways to control the board than real control decks these days. It's so dumb.

My last opponent played 5 x Objection!

Cool how busted combos seem to justify ruining the fun for everyone else. Maybe, just maybe you should get rid of this broken nonsense so that disruption wouldn't be necessary at all. Just a thought.

Seriously, f*ck this stupid degenerate Jailer + Tony combo.

I'm so sick and tired of stuff like this.

So now i'm actually forced to run an 8 mana removal spell which will reduce my winrate against anything else but this one specific deck? Nah f*ck that.

Will Druid ever stop being annoying af to play against?
The Jailer + Tony combo is so f*cking toxic.
Unless you play a hyper aggressive tier 1-2 deck you can't rush them down before they go off because they have too much survivability.
Combo/otk decks should always struggle to reach their goal. They're the ones who should feel like they're on the clock and not the other way around.
HS archetype balancing is so skewed nowadays.
