Nah deleting this game now. I don't remember the last time the game was fun. The designers since Ben Brode left are so incompetent.

Doubt you actually delete it... See you again tomorrow friend

I did delete it, but 4 days later I am here, installing it again... Ben Brode and his team made me addicted, living on hope that it will become fun again I guess..

You're not addicted to Hearthstone specifically.
You're addicted to the gambling mechanics that are used in this game (for very different reasons).
That's why it's so hard to stop.
That's why so many people get super defensive as soon as you criticize this game.
    It's textbook addict behavior.

What do sites like VS Syndicate, HSReplay etc. actually do?
The don't show you what deck is the best.
They show you what deck has the best chance of winning.
It's the equivalent of card counting.
Probability calculation is by far the most valuable skill you can have in this game nowadays.
That alone should raise eyebrows but hey, it's just a "children's card game" right?

Hearthstone is a gambling simulator and people who are already addicted to it should never ever try real gambling because they'd get hooked INSTANTLY.
Same goes for Battlegrounds. Blizzard uses gambling mechanics in every game they can. Quality gameplay has no priority anymore. It used to be the most important factor to make money in this industry but those days are gone forever.

    The game is simply broken.
This is what happens when you take the strategy out of a strategy game and let rng rule instead.
And everyone who demanded to get rid of archetype strengths and weaknesses back then is directly responsible for the current state of HS.
HS would look a lot different today if all those people who didn't know shit about card game design would've just shut up instead of harassing the devs non-stop on twitter and making all these crazy demands that were purely based on negative biases and emotions instead of factual knowledge.

It feels like the new set is completely build around cheese strategies.
I already got bored after 4 or 5 games and closed the game.
Every match felt like a game of tic-tac-toe. Absolutely pointless.

    What a waste of potential.

Literally just played several games in standard and duels where ALL of my losses were to me getting OTK'ed. I even lost a game in duels to an OTK when I was at 70+ health and armor! 70.....70!?!?!?. Who is it that thinks infinite combos are so fun to play against? It's been a year and the same thing is still happening.

The weird thing is that the community completely agreed that OTK/combo decks should never dominate the meta again after that one horrible Malygos Druid meta. The devs even announced that they would make sure of that. That was in 2018 iirc.

What can i say? Things changed. The design philosophy mainly revolves around the "streamability" of the game nowadays. More crazy RNG moments are good for streamers. Most players who joined later also seem to prefer this type of gameplay even though they have no real control over the outcome of the match anymore. Well, they might think they do but they don't.

It's a gambling simulator. You roll a dice every turn, make very obvious decisions which were dictated by equally obvious synergies and that's it. I don't think that they will return to their old formula. It's a business after all and they simply respond to what most players want.

It's not bad but also not as powerful as people claim it to be.
It's nowhere near Zephrys. Not even close.
I don't even know how you could compare those tbh.

    Blindeye Sharpshooter
God i hope this card gets nerfed to the ground in the next patch.
Seriously, what were they thinking when designing this card?
Everything about this card is absolutely broken on first glance and especially in the Demon Hunter class because they have so many cheap spells.

    What is druid's weakness again?
What even beats druid besides hyper aggro decks with godlike starting hand and draws?
As long as druid gets all these cheap and highly effective sustainability tools it will feel shitty and unfair to play against.
Combo decks should actually struggle to survive until their big payoff turn and not gain 20 armor for 3 mana, easily remove multiple wide boards etc.
Combo decks shouldn't even be able to afford to put all these control tools in their deck.
They should have a lot of card draw + their combo pieces (which should be more than just 2-3 cards btw) and that's it.
The devs have this weird vision of a card game that doesn't rely on the archetype balancing system and it's super unhealthy for the game.
They're just too stubborn to accept the fact that they went on the wrong track with their design and balancing method.

Edit: And f*ck mana cheating. They could scale it down by like 70% and it would still be the most frustrating mechanic in the game by a long shot. The mana cost of cards is almost meaningless at this point.

I took a long break shorty after the last expansion got released.
Today i thought to myself: Why not play a few games and see what decks people play right now?
    Oh boy, what a mistake.

Every single game was a RNG shitshow clown fiesta. Every single game.
Neither mine nor the decisions of my opponents mattered in any of those games.

One card topdeck wins and random RNG bullshit. That's HS in a nutshell these days. It's just sad.

Playing against Hunter almost feels like playing against a cheater who has godmode on. The Hollow Hound nerf changed absolutely nothing.

The only reasonable nerf would've been to no longer allow Hunters access to this card at all. It's just stupid that the most proactive class in the whole game has access to better control tools than any other class. This is no exaggeration. Hunter is better at controlling the board and stabilizing than any other class and it's not even close at this point.

The devs crossed so many lines in terms of healthy game design in the past few years. I've never played a multiplayer game that felt so much like a singleplayer game before. Especially for a card game that's exactly the opposite of what you'd want your players to experience.
