I think the card is definitely not bad for sure. However it is absolutely useless against slow decks, like you're spending 5 mana for a 4/4 in those match ups. Ladder is always wacky where you get 10 aggro matches in a row, then 10 control matches in a row. So you really have to find the middle ground when teching in cards like Cult Apothecary. For example I tried Dark Iron Skulker because of Shaman/Zoo/Hunter matchups I was getting. It was awesome for those matchups yes, but it was absolute shit in the control matchups.
Any one of those decks is very strong and can achieve Legend/High Legend ranks if the time were put in. It really depends on personal preference so I'll bounce this question right back at you: What do YOU want to play ?
I'd really advise to put back the 1 Violet Teacher in. Sometimes it just wins the game if played on turn 4 on an empty board against anything except Control and Hunters. As far as the Shamans go, it's a tough match, it really is. It all comes down to the Mulligan. What I like to do against Shamans is look at how many cards they Mulligan, and if they throw everything away, then I can be a bit more greedier with mine and keep a couple minions instead of removal, and vice-versa.
Definitely Thalnos, so much synergy with spells and also other top tier decks in Hearthstone. However I will say the more I play Xaril the more I've come to appreciate the card, sometimes it comes through super clutch. But yes, at the moment Thalnos takes priority.
Yes there is a SouthSea + Faceless version, however you give up 2 Card Slots for that deck, which is why I'm hesitant to play that version. Here are the viable replacements for Leeroy in my opinion: 2nd Farseer, 2nd Violet Teacher, 1 Shiv, or if you REALLY need a charger, then 1 Reckless Rocketeer.
Leeroy Jenkins was added to help against the Mirror Match and Control decks. I can understand the addition of Undercity Huckster, the problem I have with 2-Drops is Rogue 99% of the time will Dagger on Turn 2.

Nice! I've actually been thinking to make that change as well whenever I just run into 10 aggro / fast minion decks in a row. SeemsGood

Edwin is amazing right now with the absence of Big Game Hunter and Silence cards on ladder.
