posted a message on Yeah, I'm done with this game (Onyxia's Lair)

He said the following things: Questline bad, everyone has dragon synergy except my class, no pally card in the miniset is good and I'm done with the game.

He didn't even ask for advice, just complained emotionally - wich is the reason the salt thread exists, isn't it?
You copied my explanation of why I think it belongs in that thread, there, yet accuse me of copy/pasting it? Ôo

Anyway, my constructive criticism, as copied by you, were in the last paragraph:
Every class has it's ups and downs (so don't worry)
New exp is almost here (shaking up the meta in the process)

I really hope the "board is going to matter more" will come true. Way more back and forth.
Imo Onyxia is an example of a good board based finisher/boardclear.
I am really annoyed about those solitaire combo decks rather than aggro decks tbh.
Kazakusan, though, might be a problem in the future, we will see.

I never got into drama-reading. Waste of time imo. You are free to do what you want with your time, though.

This post right here is not about "Blizzard things in the recent period".
OP is frustrated about his love class 'x' not working well with the mini set as others are (in his opinion).
He even claims "all other classes have dragon synergy" wich is emotional blabbering.
So it is exactly what the salt thread is for, I'd say.

Every class rises and falls along the expansions, nothing new, nothing bad. New exp is almost there, too.

There is a "salt"-thread for this kinda posts, no?

Yes, it is intentional. He mentions it in his video and deck description.

Focus on standard makes sense. I advice buying the "mini set" for 2k gold if you can (I believe you have about a month for that).
I heard there are some "one time" bundles that are worth it, if you want to pay money.
Check HearthstoneMathematics on yt, they make good videos about what is worth to buy.

Also there is a grandmaster tournament going on rn, if you link your yt and battlenet accounts you get 2 packs (per week?) for a certain amount of hours watchtime.

I am not sure wich set is the most important (alterac seems to be not that worth it), but in 1-2 months there is a rotation:
Only barrens, stormwind and alterac will be standard viable after that.

As a returning player you get a pretty useful standard deck for free of your choice.
Idk if you already picked a deck, maybe you should look at the lists before that.

posted a message on Celestials, when do you finish with them?

You mean merc? There is a timestamp on the quest, after that time the quests will be gone. *Poof*

Or did you mean to ask if they get replaced by something else?
That is very likely. As a buffer between those events there is normally a Chromie daily with a "Do 2 bounties" objective.
There is no new follow-up event announced right now though.

I would advice to at least do the first two quests for the new Firebird Merc Chi-ji.

posted a message on Bonus stars after taking a break

I made legend in wild before taking a hiatus for a year, got bonus stars up till ~platin 5 after coming back, I believe. You'll lose some over time, but not everything and I doubt you'll lose many after one month of pause.

posted a message on 22.4.3 Patch Notes - Standard & Battlegrounds Balance Changes, Bug Fixes

Hearthpwn is not an official blizz forum, though, afaik this is a "fan" forum - a mod can surely confirm/correct me here.
The official blizz forums are the ones with "forums.blizzard" in it. That was my point.

It is not that you shouldn't utter your opinion, but imo you are far more likely to be heard with your direct complaints to blizz on there.
I imagine you want to be heard, so I wanted to give you that advice - nothing less, nothing more.

You know, I wondered since the first time I read that complaint. Who are you talking to?
There is no dev reading comments beneath a hearthpwn information post. At least I highly, highly doubt it.

Wouldn't complaining under the actual bluepost be more helpful?

posted a message on Mercenaries - Surplus of coins

Yeah, adding another level isn't a good solution, but it is a solution. I also agree on converting them to something universally usable, like 'coin dust' or gold, would be the best solution - how much and into what is probably the crux. But I have no insight in the team working on merc, so I can't tell what is holding back a coin surplus solution (and how big/urgent the issue is, generally speaking). 4 months is not that long though, I doubt ppl ran into that problem on day 1 and it needs to be properly coded, the finance team probably needs to give it a go and whatnot.

Still the top player issue will remain regardless, it might partially be bc of the hidden (staying) mmr too.
I just wanted to give another possible reason, they are additive ofc.

Anyways, I wasn't opposing that merc is doing pretty bad right now. In fact, I completely agree on the points in your last paragraph on why that is. I also think the rewards for finishing a bounty are pretty lackluster and don't feel rewarding aswell - even for someone who has nothing maxed out.

BG is free, duels imo is fun, arena a bit less fun but still ok and standard is very dependent on the cards currently playable. So I will judge it after the rotation next exp.
Wild, for what variety I encountered, I found pretty healthy rn. Even if it is intended to be grindy, merc is too much of a grind for me.
Cool idea though. I hope they can save the mode.

Hm, sounds to me to be expected that you have the "top player" issue of facing the same ppl and longer queus. Top legend players in constructed face mostly the same problems. I don't think there can be anything done about it though.
I wouldn't like to face a top 50 player as a little gimp and getting destroyed and top 50 will stay at "50 people", regardless of how many ppl play.

I am sure they are implementing or trying to find a solution about the surpluss. Something they should've thought about before implementing the mode at all tbh, but still. Maybe a dusting system or reverting a fix amount of unusuable coins to gold. Although they might be thinking about just adding another level to the abilities. We will see, I guess.

posted a message on Real Sore Losers Is A Wild Thing?

Imo it hasn't "changed" really though. Sore losers aswell as bad winners -spamming greetings instead of killing you off for example- are a common thing in (I assume) every online game.
It has been a thing since the beginning of Hearthstone, really. At least in the time I played (I was absent during rumble and ~the last year).

On a sidenote: Apparently playing your whole hand instead of moving the final attack, seems not to be considered bad manners anymore or nobody cares. *shrug
