Best thing about the emote. The guy sounds very close to the narrator from "The Stanley Parable". Really friggin awesome voice actor. Just a detached BM master.

TombstoneTodd posted a message on Weekly Card Design Competition #34 - FINALIST POLLPosted in: Fan CreationsAm I missing something? Why is Confused Treant doing so well?
If played early:
- Cycle the card for 1 mana and leave a 0/1 on the board which is almost always going to die before anything relevant happens to it
- Get the slight tempo of a 1 mana 2/3 but insane anti-value of losing a card
If played late:
- Draw a card, leave a 0/1 on the board which MIGHT get buffed on a following turn with Savage Roar or some other sub-par buff.
- Drop a 2/3 for 1 mana when your hand is empty (or maybe your hand isn't empty in which case it's worse).
So what am I missing? It seems super underwhelming to me in any of those 4 cases and those are the only ways I can imagine it getting any value at all. It's sad but I honestly see this thing's most useful aspect as a way to cycle through your deck by 1 card on turn 10 and if you draw into Force of Nature or Savage Roar, congratz. But is it worth a deck slot? What else could it be used for? - To post a comment, please login or register a new account.

From my experience they have a similar win rate when facing aggro decks between rank 20 to 10, which is the majority of what you'll face. Beyond that, Secret Paladin is worse against certain control decks while Combo Druid stays about the same. So it probably doesn't matter either way but Combo Druid has a positive match up against Patron Warrior so that might tip the scales into that camp.

Whoops you're right, I stand corrected. I think I was looking for two cards with the same art OR extremely similar text. These are so close I probably thought I was reading the same card.

Anyone know if the tournament at Blizzcon will count as an esport event that will unlock the Power Core card back?

I assume that they will be announcing another bunch (or all) of the new skins at Blizzcon a month from now. If there are still no skins after that, that's when you should start to have a problem.

You're kind of worried it's OP? Starfall is a fine card as is. Bake an extra 1 aoe damage into it or a wild growth and it might be OP? I would have never guessed.

So what is the logic behind the Revenge? Is it more commonly used with Armorsmith or are you able to consistently get the 3 dmg effect off? Now obviously both are plausible but which have you found to be more helpful?

Have you seen very much competitive Hearthstone? Some people use the full length of every single turn to think about the next few turns. Your change would force these players to do their thinking beforehand and make them scrabble to do their turn at the end. Also it would give you almost 0 time to think about your early turns if you were unlucky enough to not draw any usable cards before turn 4. Basically: no that would definitely be an unhealthy change for the game.

it's funny that spending 3 cards and 9 mana is one of the only ways to claim "#rekt" against a Dr. Boom.

Disenchanting legendaries makes my stomach knot up. I've never understood it unless you already had another copy of one.
