I tried a similar thing a while back and honestly I think it can be considered a meme deck. You need to manage your hand really well to get The Dark Portal discount reliably, and if you draw Tickatus early then the plan fails.
I see some other decks running Tickatus again to break combos, so maybe they had more minions and another win-con and just got lucky with the pull/discount.
I hate it when I pop into the shop to grab a pack for gold and then I need to scroll down to click it. But you tap and drag to scroll... and it lags... and so you accidentally end up clicking on one of the bundles.
Statistically speaking, I'm absolutely sure at least a few people have bought something they didn't mean to because of this.
Now, I'm not going to vouch for the win rate of this particular deck, but I think it's a starting point. You can make swaps for your own pocket meta as needed or based on what cards you have/like.
Hopefully you already have a lot of these cards anyway, so you don't need to invest a lot to try it out. See how you like it and go from there.
That's quite odd, actually. The only thing that comes to mind is that you can get legendaries again if you happened to collect one and dust it already.
But if you're still missing some fresh and never had them before... could it be a bug? Definitely shouldn't happen.
Honestly, this one doesn't seem nearly as bad as the tree or the unmasked Edwin. Those two go in my book as weird skins that I actively dislike, but I'm not sure what the big problem is here with this one.
Is Thrall just not allowed to smile? Is he not allowed to have fun?
I really hope he gets unique voice lines with snow/winter/freeze puns just like how the free pirate warrior skin had all the lingo. :)
Hey everyone! The big nerf to pirate warrior was a success! Earlier I faced one and was able to ping off their 2/1 on turn 2 with my hero power and successfully saved 2 damage to face which didn't matter at all because Defias Cannoneer is still stupidly overpowered and Mr. Smite burst damage post quest completion is just balls!
We can all go back to enjoying the game again. Whew!
I like to believe that there is more than one way to magically craft a snowman - just a coincidence mage literally got a spell this set that does exactly that.
Burgle rogue is finally playable and we have a pseudo meme card with a fun and flashy effect in the deck. I can mention a bunch of decks that I would discuss before this one...
Yes, this.
Putting two 3/3s on board on turn 3 is not broken. Playing a 2-mana 5/4 with rush is not broken. Have you seen some of the other ladder decks?
Don't think I saw any burgle rogues at the world championships either....
My deck tracker says that in my last 50 games, 6% were against rouge (mostly quest btw). I've met a lot of paladin and warrior in d5-d1. How about a Trampling rhino thread? That's also a random good card, but I've actually seen it in more than 5% of my games (including worlds).
Just because something is more broken doesn't mean this isn't an issue. How can people objecetively say that 6/6 in stats for 3 mana isn't OP? Unless we're just going to re-calibrate mana (like they do with hyperinflation currencies), 3 mana should net you a 3/4 (or a 4/4 with a downside). That just how it's supposed to work.
As I said - I think they would be fine given they both have conditions to make them work, but given that fullfiling those conditions can be achived by putting a card in your deck that you never want to draw doesn't seem like the most sensible design for a card game.
Also - a decks win/play rate is not dependant on 1 card. It takes way more than one card for a deck to be successful.
I want to agree with you here, but the game has definitely changed over the years. Every class has way more efficient tools to deal with stuff now. The new burgle related cards make this rogue deck playable, but not competitive. If they didn't give it these, it would not be able to win at all and nobody would play it.
Just look at when they brought in the core set this year, they casually buffed Flamestrike to deal 5 damage because otherwise it would be literally unplayable in the current stats per cost game that exists right now.
Classes are getting 1 mana 2/2s with mana cheat on them. Among other things.
Powercreep is real and the devs are leaning into it because they have to in order to sell the next set :\

Yeah, basically this.

I recommend that you don't dust anything if you don't have to. You can definitely build a quest priest deck from just the quest.
I think the core of the deck is mostly common and rare cards. It would definitely be better with more legendaries, but I think it is serviceable...

What'd you get? And from where? A pack?

What is the list you're running? Maybe there are ways to tweak it for better success.
I've been able to win games in D5+ using quest rogue, but it's off and on. Not terribly consistent.

Uhh... how do you figure? 1 of their minions now has less health.
That's good for them?

Upvote for a like-minded individual.
My dreams of playing a funky, hero power mage deck and winning games is not yet dead!

There's hope yet for a hero power/big mage :)
