Burgle rogue is finally playable and we have a pseudo meme card with a fun and flashy effect in the deck. I can mention a bunch of decks that I would discuss before this one...

     Yes, this.

Putting two 3/3s on board on turn 3 is not broken. Playing a 2-mana 5/4 with rush is not broken. Have you seen some of the other ladder decks?

Don't think I saw any burgle rogues at the world championships either....

posted a message on Celestial alignment. WHY?

I think overall my win rate against this kind of deck is good. I like to play big, slow decks, so usually I get great value from them playing celestial.

But sometimes they just do the thing and you can't stop it. It's a combo deck, same as everything else that is considered meta.

I think in the world championship, almost every player was bringing 2-3 combo decks and then paladin.

So.. you've got the best decks (combo) and one deck that can beat them (trogg paladin).

Enjoy the meta until next core rotation, I guess?

You try to use it at 1 mana, so it will offer you 0 cost stuff. Since there are only 4 options for hunter in standard right now, it's almost guaranteed to give you another Devouring Swarm. That's what you want. ;)

No, most streamers stream battlegrounds because constructed lost its popularity.

Streamers stream what is popular. Remove battlegrounds and we'll see Hearthstone not an #20 but at #50.

Battlegrounds is what saved Hearthstone numbers on Twitch. I remember the massive exodus of Hearthstone streamers to TFT. BG brought many of them back.

Streamers stream what they want to play. Rarran certainly did not switch to Mercenaries because he thought it was going to be more popular than constructed. He did it because he personally was burnt out on Questlines and needed a change. Dog streams BGs because he likes auto-battlers more than CCGs. I doubt he has played enough Alterac constructed to have formed an opinion about it. Trump definitely gets more YT views when he plays Hearthstone instead of Age of Empires, but he's enjoying Age of Empires, so that's what he plays.

As a viewer, I unsubscribed from several content creators not because I dislike Hearthstone constructed, but because of all the negativity I was hearing from them. I look at a Hearthstone gameplay channel to see Hearthstone gameplay, not to hear the streamer tell me everything that's wrong with the game.

As all the negativity feeds on itself, I've simply watched less content and started playing more. And guess what -- I'm having a lot more fun than I did when I followed all the streamers and their opinions about the game.

The only HS channels on Youtube I've been watching lately are Mark and Kibler. Fun meme decks and off-meta standard constructed. Both have a relatively good attitude and provide entertainment.

I can't even imagine watching a streamer who constantly bashes the game or company and then continues to play it.

I'm often thinking I would be happier if I stopped reading these forums sometimes, too...

    Hmm, it looks cool.

I'm a fan of Warsong Wrangler and Encumbered Pack Mule in my rat deck, personally. I would probably swap out two of the 5 drops and the doggie biscuits, personally.

How often does piper get value, too?

I feel like I just played someone on ladder with this deck. Dude did coin + Secret Passage on turn 1 and then dropped 2 Wildpaw Gnolls.

Like, what kind of holy RNG causes this? >_>

Evidently, you add the cards to your hand before you transform back into rogue, so those rogue cards are still "from another class" when they enter your hand. Interesting...

The only issue with Warlock is the current dev team. Hopefully some corporate will step up and they will resigned soon to other projects before killing the game. I bet with their current design "competence" they made quit a lot of players which results in much less revenue.

Nope. Samsung tracks how many people play at least on their phones and miniset + this expansion are the highest number of players in the last year with a 20-30% increase

I also have a diagram showing things, and I'll have you know, my source is legit.

It's really impossible to make everyone happy - some people are quietly enjoying mercs, while some people feel personally violated that the game didn't meet their expectations.

Some people are also quietly enjoying this expansion, while others jump to point out everything that's wrong with it.

I'm not thrilled about every deck that seems to be populating ladder, but I am actually still having fun. I see a lot of people doing different things and especially some slower games.

I'd make a thread about all the things that I like about the game at present but it would get trolled or ignored for sure.

Why don't we try to think positively for a change and see a new perspective here?

No, because it proves to the Devs that they are designing the cards in the right direction, and they will keep repeating the same mistakes....

But that's what I mean... some people are enjoying the cards the way they are. And I think you'll never have a 100% satisfied target audience.

I feel like the majority of people posting on forums tend to do so in order to voice their distaste for things, but do these people account for more than half the player base, or less? I'd be interested to see these numbers, if they existed somewhere.

I mean, I shouldn't come here and expect everyone to stop being negative and just get on with it, because we all have our right to feel how we feel. I guess I'd just like to try and look at things in a better way.

Those are my two cents. Carry on...

The Reckless Apprentices were pretty meh, so I started running Vipers, which are a really great tech in this meta.

Panthera is what I'm kind of questioning now. The cycle is nice, but I probably want something that gives me some actual card draw.

Pandaren Importer maybe? IMO its better than Panthera or the Scorpid in this deck.

Personally, I think we don't want to discover any other spells to dilute the pool for when we drop Magister. Unless you discover non-spell school spells, but there is a risk there.

My experience so far with a similar deck has been good, but I still like Rune of the Archmage... I had a really fun, long and grindy game against a DR priest the other day, and actually what saved me was getting a random Ignite off of the rune... it allowed me to evade fatigue and stay alive to the end.

Haven't had a game like that in a loooong time. I had fun.

When you drop Magister, how often is he "fully charged"? Because if you are missing a spell school the importer can help you with that. But even if you sacrifice some late game power, the importer's role is to get you to the late game. It can also discover Ignite or Wildfire and a lot of other stuff that could be useful in the actual matchup.

True, you make excellent points. It could certainly be worth considering.

The only other issue with discovering spells is that if you pick something that is relatively small in cost, it might accidentally eat up a charge from the ink set that you'd rather land on your bigger spells.

But these are all variables and each game is different. In a perfect world we'll always draw our deck in the correct order, too, but we know that doesn't always work out.

I'm still having a lot of fun with this archetype, so I'll play a few games with different inclusions and see what feels better.

posted a message on Dust Now or Wait?

I think there was a post mentioning that dust refunds for Drek and Vanndar will be coming, but not yet implemented.

As for the others, if you already have all the cards and these are extra, do you need the dust for something else? If not, just hang onto them.

Maybe next year they release some other cards that causes these two to become super popular and get nerfed. It's hard to predict.

Some guy was holding onto like 9 Vancleefs for 4 years and cashed in big all of a sudden when that nerf dropped, so... you never know!

In general it's better to never dust your cards unless you really want the dust to play with something right now. The value can only go up.

Yeah, but first try or not?

Heck yeah. I defeated that brownie with a bloody basic skinny white boy build. It was funny and sad at the same time...

     Damn, that's nice! Good job!

Last time I tried to eat a brownie RNG screwed me over and I fell and hit my head on the kitchen counter.

Stats show brownies are a bad matchup for me, so I usually just concede as soon as I queue into one to save myself the trouble.

    Life, huh?

PEOPLE. I figured out how to beat owl warlock. It's easy if you follow a few simple steps.

    1) Play burgle rogue
    2) Get a Tickatus from Cera'thine Fleetrunner
    3) Corrupt and play said Tickatus
    4) Burn exactly Wicked Shipment and Tamsin's Phylactery

Do this and you'll always beat them.
