I think this could be a one-of in the current control warrior lists. its a good stall tool for early game aggression, and just adds another option to control warriors to run the opponent down of legitimate cards to play. bolster warrior has been experimented with, and the womb combo dream of this card could make the archetype work. i see bolster warrior being akin to the current midrange warrior (tempo warrior), and might be viable enough to surpass that deck in the meta with this card. its a stretch to call it meta-defining, but its certainly playable in a few contexts, and i think it will see tons of use in the current warrior-driven meta.

A card designed specifically for fatigue. it will probably be a staple of every control deck moving forward by nature of it being a big body with a lot of upside in value. the only fear of this card is that it clutters the deck against aggro; meaning you are more likely to draw a useless card for the current board state than the answer you need at any given point. it does solve the issues of many control matchups of using draw mechanics too much; for example, control warrior can now save itself from going up to 4 cards deeper into fatigue than the opponent and continue to stack more armor for the late game. it's worth experimenting with in every control archetype to see if it will make the decks more viable against aggro, or add more clutter to lower the likelihood of getting the exact draw you need.

to the people who think this is a new option for tempo mage, find one card in the tempo mage list right now that could be replaced by this and make the deck any more successful. this isn't a tempo card. its a card for value and reno mage, and it might be enough to revive those archetypes in competitive play. its a really slow card since it only kills half an argent squire or possessed villager, and if you want tempo, getting one spell that you didn't intentionally put in your deck that you have to play later to only kill half a minion doesn't give you any. this is a card that you put in when you can't fit in any more copies of a better card, such as in reno mage. its a good card for an archetype that needs it, and might be the sleeper hit of the set behind barnes if it helps reno mage take off, but putting this in tempo mage is just asking for a 35% winrate with the deck when the adventure goes live.

It makes the discard archetype suck less, but trading high value minions and spells for a trash draw more often with this card doesn't make the deck good. the style will always be a worse version of miracle rogue no matter how much they try to add options to the archetype. its good for that deck, but the deck will probably still never see real play higher than rank 20 experimentation.

in the worst case, its a 4 mana 4/5 split into 2 minions. in the best case, the sky's the limit on what it can do. it is better tempo than both herald and shadowcaster, which is why it will most likely see a bit more play. i can see it being played in heavier midrange decks and control paladin/ warrior/ priest, and might be a decent minion to help this archetypes compete with the faster decks in the meta purely by virtue of it spawning 2 minions instead of 1 the turn its played, and sometimes the generated minion has a ton of value behind it. definitely a win-more card, but is on par with other cards at the mana slot in its worst case.

the thing about the 5 mana slot is that its the most polarizing of all the mana slots. yes you can get a 7/6, 5/6s, 5/7 charges, and things of that nature, but you can also get a lot of 4/4s, 3/5s, or a 3/3, all of which are only worth 5 mana for having strong battlecry effects. as a value card, its decent, but its not game-breaking. a lot of 5 drops are really bad despite the additional 5 damage, especially in the late game against NSKs and bog creepers in arena. it probably will not be as insane as people are predicting because of how bad the mana slot it is generating minions from  really is, especially in standard constructed.

this card is not the end-all-be -all 1 drop for most druid decks because living roots is more flexible and has more value with power of the wild, fandral, and savage roar. will potentially make beast druid relevant at higher levels of play again, but is not going to be a staple in most druid decks out right now. definitely a strong arena card, but the class needs more efficient removal to really gain more traction in that format.

its a strong arena hunter card, strong against zoo early game, another tool for hunter to counter warriors in the early game. probably not enough to make midrange hunter tier 1, but definitely helps snowball the deck to be even more dominant in its favored matchups.

I don't know if the card will work in too many decks that are successful right now, or is strong enough to shift the meta away from most decks already strong enough without it. I see potential in this card bringing midrange paladin back as it can draw a kodo, murloc knight, and azure drake to generate value into the late game, but a 7 mana 4/6 that only generates card advantage is really slow. the reason that twin emperors can work as a 7 mana 4/6 is because it spawns 2 copies, directly impacting the board in a proactive way. this card doesn't, and so will most likely be too slow to swing  the game if you're already behind against zoo/ shaman/ hunter. it's a win-more card vs. control, which kinda hinders the card's ability to make a large impact in today's meta. if the meta shifts to be more control, as most cards showcased are value cards that work in slow decks, then this card can be strong in a few classes. if the meta doesn't shift, the card will see fringe play in value mage, ramp druid, etc, and won't make the impact that some of you are expecting it to make.
