Every expansion, the first couple of weeks will be dominated by aggressive decks because it takes time to make a control deck to effectively counter said aggressive decks. This happens every meta after an expansion release (if the aggressive deck is actually counter able lol). The control decks need to see what the aggro lists consist of before creating a proper answer!!
Ive made a midrange Pain/DemonLock as my day 1 trial.
Of course, the first week will have plenty of aggro (as usual) as other people experiment with different builds. I think I'm going to try and get a lot of my ranked wins before the expansion hits. I know it's releasing very early in the month but I don't like the pressure of trying to rank up and being "forced" to play certain archetypes, especially with 135 new cards available.
Rogue, 2 mana jeeves, hunter and DH. I fear those decks will be so prevalent even day 1 that you will be forced not to experiment on the first week. Is anyone else worried or do you see hope?
This is completely personal and I really don't care about all the claims that it is a tier 3 deck. I'm glad they nerfed gala rogue although I'm not sure it's dead and that's the problem, because I would like to see it burn to the ground. Much like spell druid that those type of decks are holding slower decks down. I think miracle rogue back in the days was a healthier choice. As for the Rogue deck I've most enjoyed it has to be deathrattle rogue.
Trying this deck out today and it's fun so far, for some reason I keep running into paladins and losing but might just be me still learning the deck. Nice change from spell/dragon druid that I've been playing for months. Will there be a guide?
Edit: So after playing this all day, you really have to have the perfect cards to beat rush decks. I just got pushed back to to low plat after seeing nothing but demon hunters and murloc paladins who win by turn 6. :( Gonna keep trying though since I spent $30 and half my legendaries on this deck lol.
Daamn I feel bad you spent all that on this deck, I'm really just a normal to bad player. The thing with this deck is as I said is it does well enough against agro but yeah you need to know the deck a bit, going for the heals, getting a double crystal power with stalladris and things like that are what give you those games, but decks that focus not on burst but on board presence those are pretty hard yeah. Pure Paladin and slower decks should not be too much of a problem but you know they can be, against slower decks try to get a good elise turn and trust in your big guns. In general I got to D5 with this deck but it's very hard to get past it, It is just not even in the top 3 druid decks, but I'm trying to make it work.
I did this when Standard first came out, bigfwst mistake I've ever made in Hearthstone. Since then I've recrafted most of my old wild cards and haven't dusted since.
If I had to craft some of the legends. First of all is it a plausible idea given that I'm broke? And lastly Which neutral legends are the first crafts you would make to more or less be able to play?
Good luck in wild, I feel it can be more frustrating at times but you get to play with awesome old cards. But yeah I opened golden N'zoth at the time and that was incredible, I've never gotten one again.
I'm going to say this just as a mourning ritual for me, but also as advice for others. When standard and wild cycles began, I kept my wild legends and epics just in case I wanted to play wild, but of course as new expansions released, being an impulsive person I started disenchanting some of them, the worst of them, but then it extended to some of the good ones too. When I realized I was at a point of no return I just went all in and said to myself, let's forget about wild and focus just on standard forever. My one and only golden legendary n'zoth was lost in between this mess and I miss it. Now that I want to go back it's too late, don't do bad like me.
