posted a message on Emperor Thaurissan - Evergreen Candidate or Good Riddance?

I say we let the emperor collect his retirement. I think for the whole of the game the cards we have need to rotate out. Yes its great to keep the fun cards but they will only limit design space in the future. I would rather have a different type of emperor or discount mechanic. Or a better combo creator then emperor. But if we dont let him go then we will never know what could be. I say for the health of the game we need to let him just move on. I am sure there will be another emperor or emperor like card eventually.

That would be Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound. Mostly likely he summoned it using Barnes. His whole deck is made up of 28 spells and 2 minions. So he got pretty lucky when it happened. Its a fun deck to try.

posted a message on The honest truth about aggro decks

Aggro/face decks are uninteractive and unfun. You literally ignore all the minions I play and you just smorc me down. I am starting to notice more and more classes are becoming like this. Tempo mage, aggro shaman, discolock, dragon warrior. These decks want you dead as soon as possible. This is a problem because it forces all the other archetypes out of the meta. We need all archetypes not just aggro/"midrange".

Any deck that can just fill the board up with minions. Use cheap and efficent forms of removal and have insane burst. That should be nerfed. That is way to much versatility in one deck! Plus right now there is 0 difference between aggro and midrange. They both are pretty much the same thing in hearthstone.

posted a message on The honest truth about aggro decks

Aggro decks are the strongest thing right now and they really need to be nerfed. Shamans and hunters are the biggest offenders. Now you might say Hunter plays "midrange". Yeah no stop lying and protecting it. Its an aggro deck. If the deck can setup a board and kill with burst before turn 5 its aggro end of story. The same problem is with shaman. Now you might say. Well all archetypes need to be viable. This is true and the one archetype that isnt viable right now? Oh yeah thats control! Control decks right now are just so clunky and awkward because we have weak taunts to work with. Heals that eat most of our mana and leave no board presence. Board clears that cost a lot of mana and might not even clear the board. Aggro honestly feels like its suffocating part of the game. I love playing all types of decks combo/control/midrange/tempo. But not aggro because its braindead and gives no choice.

The big issue with aggro is the minions are to effective with abilites and synergies. Also the spells for these classes are way too flexible. 1 mana deal 3 damage? That is insane early game. That kills nearly every 1-3 drop in the game. Plus it allows for a totem golem 3/4 worth of stats. How is that fair to face on turn 3? Its not and there is no coming back from it. Or how about tuskarr totemic that spawns a flametongue or totem golem. You instantly lose right then and there. Thats not fun and the game shouldnt be designed like this. For every strong aggro card there should be a strong removal or taunt card. Or increase the amount of health that every player gets by 20. That way aggro is completely unviable. That would be good too.

So many dumbass aggro shamans! This fucking class needs to be nerfed immideatly. Everyone today has had the bullshit tunnel trogg into totem golem. Opener then turn 4 tuskar totemic with a totem golem! WTF!!!!!!! That should never be possible!

Uh, I think the point of FInley is that he goes in any class. If you're playing Auchenai ResidentSleeper control priest, sure. Finley sucks. Menagerie Priest is possible with emphasis on dragons, though. Tech beasts like Kodo and Dire Wolf Alpha help with tempo.

even then, priest hero power would be ideal to make favorable trades and keep minions on board. the problem with priest is he doesnt really have any good class minions that can be played on curve that don't have to meet a certain requirement which is why control is the only viable archetype.
Actually I would disagree with that statement. Control maybe the priests main option but right now if blizzard give us an early game minion similar to injured blade master. Like a 2 mana 2/5 that deals 2 damage to itself. We could see a midrange or even a tempo priest emerge. Right now ressurect priest borders midrange because of the crazy synergies between blademaster/priest of the feast/ressurect and onyx bishop. Priest after kara is in a much better spot. We have surpassed rogue! We arent the worst lol.

I hate bullshit shaman decks. Constant buffing of undercosted minions that thrall just easily vomits onto the field. Just when you think you got him lol no bloodlust rockbiterx2!!! AND THE FUCKING AIDS OF TUSKARR TOTEMIC INTO FUCKING TOTEM GOLEM! WHY IS THAT A POSSIBILITY! That should never happen only basic totems should be possible! Ugh Its so hard to play tempo rogue against shaman when he can beat by turn 4! TURN 4?????? That shouldnt be possible with any deck.

Game 2: OTK warrior that gets his whole combo plus thaurissan by turn 8. There was literally nothing I could do to stop him. I had him down to 2 hp and I was smorcing as best as a rogue could do! Its unbelievable how stupid blizzard could be. Dont put OTK's in the game if I cant put a tech card in my deck to hold them off. We need a loatheb back! He was the best thing against this cancer and it needs to be gone from the meta! So fucking tired of it.

posted a message on Charge, the mechanic, should be nerfed.

The problem with charge is all the stupid otks. That is the only problem. Lets take grommash for instance. He is an 8 mana card with charge. But the guy isnt that broken because he has to be damaged and can be removed rather easily. But worgen/anyfin gets annoying because its charge minions out of nowhere. Its not 1 its 2-5 which is unacceptable. Its the same problem with the old patron warrior.

posted a message on We need more mulligans

I think we need to redo the mulligan system a bit. So I am thinking that we make it easier for control to get the cards they need while not affecting aggro/midrange at all. So the system I am thinking is you get your normal mulligan like now. However, if you do not draw something you can play on the first 2 turns you get the chance to mulligan once again. So aggro decks arent affected and control decks are given a bit of a helping hand to get the cards they need.
