Personally I loved the old days of Control Priest vs. Control Warrior (the highlight for me was after League of Explorers, but before Standard). Yes the early turns were slow but you had to think carefully about what cards to play (since you don't want to burn any!) and exactly how you could out-value your opponent. There was also the key decision of when to turn on the gas. Yes the games were long but they were among my favorites and I was always excited to see a Warrior come up against my Elise Priest.
