Quote from KingCarnage >>I'm the OP, here's my comment:
I thought the original portrait was overly sexualized, so I am in favor of the change. Suggestiveness is classier than semi-nudity. I don't play WoW, but I have read that the Jaina character was known for her wisdom, courage, and history of struggles, and her looks were secondary.
Full disclosure: I'm a gay man, and cleavage doesn't do that much for me. Another personal bias is that I think both men and women should dress modestly in public, like buttoned-to-the-top modest. (Edit, yes my avatar is Lucy Heartfilia, and yes I hate how she is dressed in the anime/manga even though I like her.)
Of course, there is a lot of idealization in fantasy art, for both men and women. As many have pointed out, several of the male portraits have pictures hyper-muscular half-naked fantasy humanoid men.
Blizzard should directly address the censorship of the portrait. I would like to know the reasoning. Had they received complaints? Did they foresee a future problem? Are they going to be stricter about sexiness in future art releases?
That's dumb. She's a mage who isnt afraid of the cold. More seriously, all the characters should look just like they do in WoW. It's too many layers. Looks bad.
In the real world no one cares about your "modesty". People dress exactly how they want and are comfortable. Your opinion on what anyone wears in public is just about as important as other's opinion on what you do in private.
*micdrop*
Hah. It is not true that people get to dress exactly as they want. Maybe in the Scandinavian utopia you inhabit clothing is optional, but not where I come from. There are plenty of places where "comfortable dress" won't get you in door.
Public decency is a big issue in a lot of places. It seems a lot of the discussion of modesty (in the United States at least) devolves into young men getting mad that someone is denying them their view of breasts and young women getting mad that someone is denying them the opportunity to show their breasts.
Personally I'm convinced that cleavage is a sexual display, and should be considered as such. Plunging necklines in women's fashion not present in men's fashion are basic evidence of this. Your society decides how much sexual display it can handle, and then you go from there. There are a lot of societies in which Jaina would get arrested for wearing that outfit. I like RavenSunHP's idea that the alteration was due to a business decision in order to appeal to the biggest market possible. I'm interested in hearing Blizzard's reasoning, but I guess that not saying anything is their wisest move.
This is so funny, comming from someone who admitted being gay... In the past (not so long ago), being gay was a crime in most countries, did you know that? Because it seems that you live inside of a bubble. Now you support shamelessly this change, as you said in your previous post, and you seem to be ok with Blizzard decision to appeal to the biggest market possible, even in places were woman are being arrested for wearing outfits similar to Jaina's one. Admitting it is not Blizzard's wisest move, doesn't change that fact.
How the hell that makes any sense? How dare you to support something like this, when it goes against everything those of your kind have fought in the past, so you can live a normal life in the present? Don't you have any respect for those who fought for your rights years ago? I guess the answer is no...

It isn't. Tempo Mage is known to be high roll or bust and it is therefore not a good deck. When it works it works but its just a noob killer deck that sucks for climbing past rank 5 where people don't just sit there and let you draw double Flamewaker and Emperor and lethal them.
1
The deck isn't consistent but when they get the hand there's not really any way to play around it. You put as much health on the board as you can and hold onto your butt but sometimes they just kill you anyway - that's the nature of the deck. Ultimately you'll climb high enough on the ladder that you stop seeing them so much because the deck struggles to so more than break even in win/loss - it is totally at the mercy of draw order as it requires very specific combos to win, and it doesn't have the same level of draw power/survivability as something like Holy Wrath Paladin.
1
The later it goes into the season the more weak players will filter down to the better ranks, because the stronger players mostly hit legend as the season goes on. Therefore no, it is not true that you can no longer play weaker players at a rank floor, they will find themselves there when everyone else moves to the next rank floor.

Ye its probably worth it. Improves your Druid matchup as well.

It will be as it always is. Control decks with N'Zoth will likely lead the charge because they are straightforward to build. They will get greedier and greedier so as to compete with one another until either they greed too hard and become weak to aggro, or an OTK combo comes about which can consistently bust them before they set up. In the case of the former, the control decks will become more conservative and start to push aggro out, in the case of the latter, aggro decks will rise to beat up on the passive combo decks. The meta will cycle in such a fashion as per the norm until the next set release.

Yes. The current wording doesn't suggest that Giga Loti is possible, but of course we all know it is. A small change for clarity would make sense.

Stop dumping all of your experience points into charisma and invest some into your luck stat.

I don't know what Europe you've been to.

I should never have come here.

Game 1 Zephrys is correct. The best AoE in a vacuum is Dread Infernal as it is attached to a 6/6 body, which contests the 2/3 (and then some). Remember zephrys doesn’t know what your macro game plan is, he will just look for the best card according to the numbers. He almost always offer Tirion at 8 mana because it’s the best proactive card in a vacuum. Cabal is iffy but a reasonable high impact reactive play that isn’t another AoE. He’s definitely more likely to offer Holy Nova here if you hero power the 2/3 first, as it removes Tirion from the pool (you only have 6 mana) and makes Cabal weaker.
Game 2 doesn’t make a lot of sense, he seems to always offer brawl against a full board. Especially weird for him to offer 2 cards that are not playable this turn. Do you have a replay of this?
Game 3 seems normal. It won’t offer removal spells unless it unlocks lethal, or their board is stronger than yours. It expects you to play the Cabal or Sea Giant and clear with Siamat for a very strong tempo swing. Ysera is rarely offered (going into turn 9 when you are ahead only).
All in all game 2 seems like an anomaly/bug but games 1 and 3 are consistent. Remember Zephrys doesn’t know what you want, you have to learn how he works and manipulate his offerings accordingly (through sequencing your plays correctly).
