posted a message on I made a Chrome extension for easier deck comparison

    Hey all!

When trying to build a new deck, I repeatedly run into the problem of having to compare two or more versions of a given archetype (Quest Rogue, most recently) and manually finding the minor differences is a pain. So I looked for a good deck comparison tool, which (apparently) doesn't exist. The notable exception is this HS Topdecks tool, but it still only works with their pre-made decks, as far as I could tell.

So enter DeckDIFF: I threw together a quick Chrome plugin that lets you add decks by their deckcodes (a.k.a. deckstrings) and displays them side-by-side, veeeery similarly to the above mentioned tool (I might have stolen a lot of inspiration from there, plus I actually stole the color codes from Hearthpwn... Sue me...).

    Sample1           Sample 2

If you're interested, grab the .zip from my GitHub, extract it anywhere, go to "chrome://extensions", tick the developer checkbox, and load the extracted folder. I'm not quite willing to pay the developer fee to have this in the official store, need to save up for the April xpac :)
If you're worried about malware, then (a) I'm glad you're careful and at least aware of the possibility, but (b) it's open source and you can see for yourself that it's clean.

    Feature ideas welcome.

    Happy netdecking!

    Pre-nerf Blade Flurry, woohoo!

I wonder if any nerf/hall of fame inconsistencies will be addressed in the next rotation... I'd love a 2 mana wild flurry! But looking forward to the Molten Giant unnerf, too (holding 3 plain and a golden copy, just in case)

posted a message on trick for eu players

I've been in the same boat, wanted to cash in some playvig credit, and wasn't sure if I could do it in USD instead of EUR.
So I've made a ticket, and turns out it's perfectly ok.
Interestingly, the gamemasters themselves were unaware, but finally confirmed it. (I just kept on logic'ing :D)
    So yeah, go for it.

    See transcript below:

Hey, I'm trying out the PlayVIG service, that awards additional PayPal balance for the daily gold grind. (Note that I've never used PayPal before) If I were to use the online shop (which I also don't use, I usually pay through Google Play) with PayPal, can I use the US shop and send the packs to my EU account? I'm from Hungary, so it should technically be EU, but 2 packs are 2.99 in both EUR and USD, so it would mean a 16% discount if I could use the us.shop.battle.net site and USD. Is this "legal", can I do this? Can I buy like this for myself or should someone gift it to me? Are there any regional restrictions? You get my point... Thanks,

Howdy, howdy, Thanks for taking the time to write to us. My name is <snip> and it's my pleasure looking into your request. Hearthstone packs can definitely add up so wanting to get the most bang for your money is always desirable. ;D Looking into this, your account is European so purchases for your European Hearthstone game must be in Euro. You could purchase card packs in USD though they'll be delivered to the wrong account and not your European one where your collection is. With PlayVIG, I suppose they give you credits to purchase packs for later, be sure to pick up the correct European type or you may not see the packs in-game. Thanks again for contacting us and I hope this helped make sense of our situation. If there is anything else we can look over with ya, feel free to reach out to us again in the future.

Hiya, I'm a bit confused then, because there is still a region selection dropdown on the us.shop as well, where I could theoretically have the packs delivered on my EU account, couldn't I?

Greetings, I'm <snip> and I just got your Ticket, thanks for your patience so far, you should not worry anymore as I'm here to help \(^o^)/ As mentioned in the chat earlier, as long as you keep the correct region selected you can make the purchase in the currency you preffer, just make sure that you card will not charge you any additional fee for international transaction and it should work fine :D I hope my help was enough to resolve your issue, however if any further support is necessary in the future, please do not hesitate to contact us again.

posted a message on Free Legendary Weapon. Should we have a choice?

I would be happy even if the only thing they did was "lock" the free weapon behind a loot box or a quest, so that I can craft my golden Rogue one and guarantee that I'm not gonna open exactly that. But choosing, of course, would be even better.

I also think that a discover mechanic would work very well here. I would still be random, but you'd get to feel that your choices mattered. A nice compromise...

I could say that you should "check your informations before whining", but that would be just mean, wouldn't it? Please try and stay civil...
