How does this deck fare vs Paladins? Particularly the ever popular Secret Pally? I tried another popular CW deck from here and it has a 100% loss rate vs any Pally deck. Given the fact that SP's are very popular, I'm looking for a CW that can hold its own against them.

    // edit

lol I think I answered my own question.

It just seems that Secret Pallies are the bane of the CW and if there are a lot on the ladder, never play CW.

Actually, warriors are a ban to secret paladins.

Tbh, even with a bad hand, the only time you'll lose if they get Dr6->dr boom->dr6/tirion.

As long as they only have 1 of those to follow up, you should be able to stablize (Also plan ahead for dr6. Like don't use your last weapon charge on t5 if you have no minions on board, unless you absolutely need to or else you'd be too close to lethal.)

I don't have Dr.Boom, Alex, Gromash, Baron, Rag
I can craft one or two of them and need to replace the others. Anyone got Suggestions which to craft and which to replace?
I want to improve my CW in general not just exactly this list.

    Thanks for any help!

    (i don't have dr.balanced yet because i tend to ladder priest :) )

Yikes! Well I would advise you, but I'm not o:

I'd rather you make other decks completely because having a half-finished deck is no fun which can lead some people to wanting to buy packs. So I'd rather you look at other fun decks :P. If you realllllly want to know though, lemme know!

I replaced 1 armor smith with unstable ghoul because i rather clear the 1/1 tokens then gaining more armor. also it is nice for activating aop and it kinda keeps your oppenent guessing whether you are patron or control ;P

Should be fineish I think, might hurt the hunter match-up a tad tho.

Hey Mendi thanks for the list. I have a question: your replacement for Baron Geddon would be Sylvanas Windrunner "OR" Ragnaros the Firelord, but there is already Sylvanas in the deck... So is adding Ragnaros fine?

The decklist was changed due to people not reading >.>

Originally there was no Sylvanas, but yes, Ragnaros is a fine replacement. Geddon is really good right now!

Hey Mendi, I want to play control warrior but I'm missing: Grommash Hellscream, Justicar Trueheart, Sylvanas Windrunner, Baron Geddon, Dr. BoomAlexstrasza and Ysera. Any replacements?

    Can confirm

    Replace  Grommash Hellscream with Wisp

Everything else can be replaced by Kezan Mystic and Blood Knight

    Justicar Trueheart with Shieldbearer

    Hey man, great deck!

i just crafted all the legendarys and i would really appreciate it if you did a mulligan guide as im not sure if i should keep brawl etc

Anyways gratz on reaching legend :)

I wrote an extremely general mulligan guide. I'm not expanding it, but not due to being lazy with it. It's a control deck prone to bad hands so I'd rather people play the deck and get a general idea, but VS aggro decks you just want any removal and low drops, VS control, honestly, death's bite.

Everything else is left up to personal preference and I don't think it would make that big a change. If you'd like me to though, post under here and I'll do a full write-up :)

Any advice for against Zoolock? Or is the deck a bit too fluid at the moment- some Gormoks, some BGH, etc.? Gormok seems to ruin my day a lot, just speeding them up too much, or I clear their board, they just flood again, or my early game works against me because mal'ganis comes down early on their turn and they trade well? WIthout dropping stuff, I can't compete for board, but with it, they get free big stuff from voidcallers. Not to mention that the mulligan is a pain in the backside due to handlock, or there's decks with "suddenly, dreadsteeds!", which tend to overwhelm me.

Zoolock is actually pretty card depending on their hand (I know that can be said for everything, but especially for zoo)

The decks with dreadsteed shouldn't be an issue, it's just a slower and more removal based deck, should be able to out-armor it honestly.

Basically, you need to have removal at the ready whenever they play voidcaller and/or save it. If possible, you need to be the one to pop a voidcaller so you can instantly deal with Mal'ganis/Doomguard instantly.

Other than that it's just standard

    -What do they have?

    -What's the worst case senario?

-Should I try to bait them into overextending? What if they don't fall for it? If I brawl this turn can I follow up?

    ect.

I'm not looking to change the decklist, just wondering how you were feeling with those "small" tweaks that could end up making a lot of difference with the "old" control Warrior. I don't think the Secret Paladin archetype will still be as played as it was like 2 weeks ago. It will fade into the meta and mid range / classic tempo will probably return with all their weapons.

I wouldn't drop a Shieldmaiden anyway, too great to have 2 copies in the deck. The thing with Thaurissan is that most of the time they will try to get rid of it right away so it's one less Removal for the rest of the game. That won't happen with Justicar because of her low life but she's also great, don't get me wrong. I believe she's the real addition to the deck from TGT instead of the over hype and under performing Varian Wrynn.

While that is true, I played 3 CWs from like r8-legend. And at that point you can play a safe emperor, you honestly should of already won. And yeah, it's a great card in the sense people overextend/overuse to attempt to get rid of it. It's all about small tweaks depending on newer meta, so the deck should be changed here and there!

Still hard to see if i'm more happy with double Shield Block and one Bash and one Shield Block... Both have their uses so it's hard to decide. One question though : don't you miss Harrison Jones or Emperor Thaurissan too much? Harrison is a pure tech card but with many Warrior, Hunter and Paladin he looks legitimate enough. Thaurissan helps you with playing Alexstrasza one turn earlier which might save you against super aggro deck. On the other hand, one could argue that if you play Justicar and can tank up every turn that 4 life is still a lot of gain.

I played a lot of CW before TGT and both legendaries were awesome, Thaurissan often mvp.

I've just played mostly VS faster decks and I feel emperor doesn't come into play til late in the game. Against other CWs, I feel a LOT of them misplay with removal so often, and I've never had trouble with them having emperor.

Harrison, same issue. It's Slow and bad versus the current paladin archetype, and it's not the greatest VS hybrid hunter. (Plus this deck already has an insane win % VS hunter decks.)

You can always replace a shieldmaiden for Harrison.

I have been wrecking ladder with this deck. Was struggling to break R9 this season constantly up and down. With this deck my first time ever playing CW i went something like 10-1 then i lost a few but kept climbinb and got rank 5 within a day. Seems to do well against most decks only struggles i had was face hunter and druid other than that no problems at all and paladins were definitely a favoured match up for me.

Druid is hard, I'm surprised at having trouble with face hunter. Just don't be greedy with removal :^)

This deck is the real deal. 10-2, crazy streak from 15 to 11 so far. Thanks mate. Any videos or Twitch for us?

Thanks for the kind words! I usually only play from mobile ATM as it's super convenient, so no stream.

Sometimes @ twitch.tv/mendithemw though, but not reasonable often.

    @Magu

I'ma just let you read what mindtimes said but to simplify it ALL:

    Force him to execute/shieldslam your:

    Belchers

    Shieldmaidens

    Justicar

Basically, anything unimportant to forcing damage.
