This is great advice if you need to maximise your resources.
The counter argument is that the expansion is the most fun in the first few weeks after release, when there is no real meta. I will be crafting stuff I like, playing for a few weeks, getting bored, and quitting until the next expansion. And repeat in 4 months. It’s the least efficient, most fun way to play Hearthstone, in my opinion.
I am playing only wild for 3 years and big priest is not such a problem. It has at best 60% wr in any version or revision and is easily countered by mage or rattle hunter , mecha lock and so on. So why nerf anything?
Because it’s the most widely hated deck in the format?
we have a lot of people raging about RNG, this will have people tilted
I think people generally understand that it's not random at all. It's quite the opposite -- the selection of cards is calculated to get you out of a bad situation (or to win immediately). If you pull the perfect card, it's because Zephrys is designed to give you the perfect card. It says so right on the box.
It also appears to be fairly predictable, because Basic/Classic is quite small. I’ve seen many instances of Brawl, SwD, etc.
Why would anyone use Kripp as a definitive source of how strong cards are?
And Trump, when you could choose any number of top Pro players? Let’s listen to 2 streamers that no longer play at a competitive level...
Ratings are pretty fun though. I personally think Corrupt the Waters, Siamat, HA, and ER are the best cards by a long shot. BB is grossly overrated. I love Zeph, but Singleton decks will be weak in Standard.
just dont watch streamers, i dont even bother anymore now to watch them it kills all hype for new decks.
i will play stuff thats funy to me not for them and they All go for the best decks anyway so not my beer, my decks will be maby t3 but i dont carre at least i have fun the first few hours...
I will do this next time. The temptation to see the new cards is so high though, but it does spoil things ultimately.
Play enough games (you need lots, if you’re slightly above 50% winrate). Mulligan correctly every time, using HSReplay. Play a tier 1 deck. Tech it, depending on what you’re facing (use a tracker).
Trump is extremely bad and has a terrible record. Famously, he missed Defile and the Warlock DK! I feel like he is a bit out of touch these days, he spent most of his review asking chat for advice. xD
I really dislike all the pre-release benefits that hearthstone "influencers" are starting to be awarded.
You have some people trying to go "unspoiled" until expansion time, meanwhile Blizzard is trying to artificially inflate hype by showing YouTubers having fun before everyone else. And let's not forget the fireside gathering pre-release events.
Seems like everyone forgot when RegisKillbin uploaded his card reviews for the first few Rise of Shadows cards... BEFORE the official reveal trailer was even released.
Yes, it sucks. It has ruined the “discovery” element for me, the best part of new expansions.
The solution is probably to just stop watching streams though. Streamers like Thijs have just devolved into social marketing anyway, they are so deep in Blizzard’s pocket. It is advertainment.

Why would anyone play Hearthstone every day? 😳

They struggle a lot with aggro, they don’t have consistent anti aggro tools.

The lesson is, don’t spend money on loot boxes. As soon as I stopped spending IRL money on HS, I started enjoying it a lot more.

1 in 30 (plus my 1 for logging in). My epics were also bad. Thank god I don’t waste money on this lootbox scam. LUL

There are no decks which are safe to craft on day 1. It’s the same every expansion.

Siamat is fairly safe. I would wait on everything else.

Check Feno’s VODs, he did a card review today with a bunch of top pros: Hunterace, Muzzy, JustSaiyan, etc.
