I'm of the opinion that any pack you open that isn't 1 rare + 4 commons is a good pack, even if you already own 2x of each card you get. 1 rare + 4 commons is quite literally the worst pack you can open, doesn't even matter what the cards are. Now it doesn't sting as much when you open one of those packs and it just happens that you needed one or more of the cards you get but it really doesn't change the fact that it was still a 'worst possible outcome' pack.

The moment you get a golden card, an epic or legendary, 2 rares etc, the pack is instant value. That's how I choose to view it anyway. Those packs are worth more dust and as a result, get you close to crafting the cards you actually need. The more cards that wind up in your collection, the less likely you are to be getting new cards from packs (and the more rewarding it becomes when you do). So yeah, I'm at the stage of my collecting where I'm pleased anytime I get a pack that goes beyond the minimal 1 rare 4 commons.

Well stated.  Everyone wants to be able to play every deck without grinding in a free to play atmosphere.  It takes time to get cards if you don't want to pay for packs.  Get better at Arena and you can basically get packs for free since once you have a large enough pool of gold saved you can just grind arena over and over again gaining packs/gold/dust every run.

Thats true! I dont know a game where you can have everything what you want in few month. Of course you need too get card by card and have luck to get the cards you needed for your deck. For me, I opened 40 packes with a few gold and 1 legendary. It can be better, thats for sure, but if you already have all the cards you want, the game will be bored because there is no goal anymore.
