Hi! Reposting this again, I already commented the answer for this:
I would say that the older deck, JHUS's Midrange Hunter, actually works better. This more pirate oriented deck doesn't work quite well according to statistical data. Right now at 5,000 games in total, the JHUS's Midrange Hunter has the following stats:
Overall winrate
55.15%
vs. Druid
▲57.70%
vs. Hunter
▼54.06%
vs. Mage
▲65.61%
vs. Paladin
▼47.71%
vs. Priest
▲58.32%
vs. Rogue
▼52.16%
vs. Shaman
▼46.11%
vs. Warlock
▼48.44%
vs. Warrior
▲65.74%
While this deck with 4,200 games has the following stats:
Technically, after playing the said card, you would have 9 cards in your hand and should have gotten the card from your quest, but as we see in the replay... this was not the case and the quest just disappeared:
So there, I actually think there was a bug. Not quite sure if the trigger for the quest goes before the actual card you played is moved from your hand to the field, if that is the case then I think this should be fixed that the trigger of the quest should resolve after the actual card used to activate it is in the field and not while it is still in the hand.
Which deck are you even talking about? Are you talking about JHUS's Midrange Hunter ? What is this even about? Have you even tested out the deck? I am not trying to make a whole new archetype btw so you will of course see many cards in the same decks cause of course they have what we call core cards. Here's a comparison so I won't have to keep on explaining.
Maybe after seeing this you will know what makes my decks unique. Thank you very much for taking the time to comment btw and clarify this. :)
As what you have pointed out, with these cards you will still need a minion or a spell to deal damage and kill the target. However, the hunter class do not have other decent damage spells other than Kill Command which can deal up to 5 damage which is usually enough to finish the target of in the first place. The 2 mana 2/2 body of the Crazed Alchemist on the other hand is a loss in tempo, you can use it if you are ahead but if you are not, this cannot fight for board plus it lacks the beast tag (obviously) so it doesn't have synergy with the deck. If only we could actually have decent spells, card draw and, a pretty useful hero power modifier then these cards could have been added to a control hunter, which doesn't exist atm, let's wait and see when the next expansion comes. Hope this helps.
Hmmm. How is it the same deck again? If you would carefully check the deck, it is really unique. Not most lists have removed Eaglehorn Bow and Unleash the Hounds. If only you had read what I actually wrote then you'd understand. The pirate package is not used by most hunter decks too. Hope this lightens you up.

Well, it is a tier 3 deck so I can't say that I disagree with your stats. Kinda hard for the class at the moment.

I love it when enemy auto-concedes when I play the quest. They're like: "Oh no, not this again. I'm out. I give up.".

I think this is a bug. Here's what happened:
Turn 11 after choosing the Potion of Polymorph you have 10 cards in hand.
Technically, after playing the said card, you would have 9 cards in your hand and should have gotten the card from your quest, but as we see in the replay... this was not the case and the quest just disappeared:

If I’d replace something for Bittertide Hydra, it would be Cobalt Scalebane. Hope this helps you guys.

Here’s a link where you can learn to use this: public.oed.com/how-to-use-the-oed/key-to-pronunciation
This might be something you can use someday! :)

As what I have written, if you lack some cards, try the other deck instead: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/957234-jhuss-midrange-hunter-f2p-w-stats. :)
