Today was the first time I played against my true opponent.

So I was wondering if any of you other Hearthstone players out there had ever had the pleasure of playing vs your true opponents?
Also I would like to know if this is just a bug or if this is a Blizzard account etc if any of you know :)

Make it deathrattle instead of battlecry. It would force people to think and play around things.

Couldn't agree more, that is the best solution I can think of. This way he's still very strong but if it's a Deathrattle instead of a Battlecry then at least we can play around it :)

Patron is actually a really viable deck, and it beats secret pala:)

I know it is viable, that's not my point, just saying that I prefer the old Patron Warrior to secret pala.
I do play the deck at times, for now I just prefer Control Priest, I find each match more enjoyable playing that deck :)

I was talking about the old cancer patron, that deck was more overpowered than the new one and even more so than Secret Pala but at least it required some skill

What is even up with this meta? Played 20 matches on ladder (ranks 8 and 7) and 15 of them were against Secret Paladins, 2 against Murloc Paladins and 3 against Renolock. Is it really this hard for Blizzard to nerf this stupid deck? Really, turn MC's battlecry into Deathrattle, raise it's cost to 7, make it so it only grants 3 secrets? Really, this stupid Christmas tree is way too much, especially when it's the only thing you see on ladder nowadays and it's already past Christmas...

I swear, the meta has never before been this stupid and boring, I'd honestly like to have Patron Warrior or old school Oil Rogue back, those decks were way more fun to play against and at least they required some skill to play so not 99% of the player base could play it with some success...

Please Blizzard, I see more people quitting the game every day because of this stupid deck, no one likes it (in case you hadn't noticed). I've had enough of this deck, if above 50% of my matchups in the next 10 games are Secret Paladins then I quit this game, it's not fun anymore...

posted a message on What decks do you switch between?

I switch a lot between a handful of decks, Zoolock, Midrange/Combo Druid, Control Priest, Patron Warrior and Tempo Mage, so far this season I've mostly played Zoolock and had decent success with it, bringing me from 10 to 7 in 1 go :)

Enjoy playing Control Priest the most but each match takes about 15-30 minutes so perhaps not the best deck to climb the ladder with.

Midrange/Combo Druid is an obvious choice for climbing fast but the matches aren't that enjoyable since you're pretty much just trying to stall the game until you draw the combo.

Tempo mage is great for the lower ranks (up until rank 8) after that it gets a bit tougher as your opponents will be playing decks that can most of the time deal with your Mana Wyrms and Flamewakers easily.

Zoolock requires a very specific meta, it's good against Tempo Mages, Druids and Renolocks, however it is terrible against Freeze Mage and a bit below 50% winrate against Secret Paladins (perhaps 60-40).

Patron Warrior is without doubt the deck that requires the most skill to play, it can be great once you learn how to play it but it also just straight out sucks if you're playing it for the first time.

I think all of the decks above are easily able to reach legend with, Patron Warrior and Control Priest games take a while so I wouldn't recommend using these pre-rank 5(ish). Happy grinding!

Not sure at the moment, reached legend 2 seasons in a row now but the meta is so boring with almost nothing but Secret Paladins at the top ranks, I think I might just take a break from the game until new cards are released and hopefully we can break free of the Paladin cancer. I'd even love to have Patron Warrior back, it was way more fun to play against

Wild Growth is actually kind of better in the late game because of the card draw...

You haven't played Priest enough if you say it NEEDSCabal Shadow Priest, Cabal is not as good as you think, 6 mana for a 4/5 which has a situational Battlecry. Now take a moment and read that again... 4/5 for 6 mana with a situational Battlecry effect. You can get so much more value for 6 mana, this card is not even close to being essential to this deck. There are a lot of 6 mana cards with better stats and effects than this one so saying it's essential is just plain stupid.

Shadow Word: Pain... This card is a lifesaver against any and all aggro/midrange decks since this deck doesn't have many early game threats or removals. If you let your opponent flood his board in the first turns then you're just plain dead unless he curves terribly into the mid-game. Being able to get rid of their tempo minions as soon as they're played means you'll have an easier time regaining board control which is essential for this deck.

Play Priest some more before making shitty comments like those on a deck you clearly don't understand.

Shadow Word: Pain is way too good in the current meta, it kills Shielded Minibot,Totem Golem,Knife Juggler,Flame Imp,Imp Gang Boss and you know a lot of those early game tempo minions

What do you think about adding Elise Starseeker for Cabal Shadow Priest? Kinda want to try to fit Elise into a deck and the games often go to turns 20+ with this one so Elise adds a bit of pressure at that late stage :)

Hunter's Mark is more consistent than Deadly Shot since if he has other minions you can't control what you kill :) Happy hunting!

I'm not sure how strong face hunter is in the current meta, I think it's kinda bad since Renolocks got more and more popular. Let's hope that the Reno hype settles down soon so the SMOrc can take over again ;)
