Called it; BSM free deck is still at near top across all decks. Astalor inclusion helps across variety matchups whereas the core remains viable; Astalor is for those games where belinda gets silenced/destroyed in Priest, Warrior, and Blood DK games. Honestly the tempo & mana cheating option (I say option because you may want a 9 cost rune over the spell swap cost because of Parrot) It's literally the most enjoyable deck to play because you're tempo and making decisions that define your game; it's not play x, xx, and xxx to win.
DK & Mage nerfs don't seem deck breaking since they're hitting supportive cards over wincon/strategy. Should still see high playrates and win.
What? Frost Aggro and Unholy Aggro DK are built ENTIRELY around Construct Quarter. Mage is a lot harder to gauge due to how it's transparently a Wild nerf for a card at the end of its time in Standard, but Grey Sage Parrot is a win condition BSM often plays to.
Unholy is still about pace, with or without Construct it's still strong just not perfect. I imagine with the other changes and no other aggro decks being oppressive it'll remain strong.
I played a lot of BSM and 90% of the time if Parrot was my last way to win it'd be a loss. That's a very unreliable hail mary that shouldn't effect much in BSM. It's not like it was played before turn 8 often. The core of it remains, still have astalor if big damage or mordesh fail.
From what I've seen of it; it looks very luck of the draw or bust. I mean you can definitely win with it but before nerfs it was always a turn or two behind frost and shockspitter. I've seen it a couple times post-nerfs but they just couldn't draw the combo. Honestly I think it needs Vexallus thrown in it for secondary win condition. An alchemist or trogg could be dropped.
Balancing treasures is a rough one. When everyone had the same treasures was playable, kind of repetitive; the decreased rates now also just give you runs were you may as just quit after game one.
Something definitely needs to happen with Discover; it's like 2/3 Rogue games they're getting Mi'Da and whatever else. It's not unbeatable but it's like bro this is stupid.
I think the better question is can you even balance the meta in 1-2 patches; I think they're going to fail. If it's just slowed down Druid will pop back up, Blood DK will be very strong, Unholy should be usable , Mage will probably still have the aggro/bsm doing better then they are now, I don't see Warlock or Priest competing without buffs and aggro Paladin idk.
After actually looking at stuff; I think could fix a lot of current issues with 3 moves. 1.) is the obvious explorers go wild. 2.) The removal of legendary cards through discover pools or a massively nerfed pull rate. 3.) the current aggro decks get 1-3 minor nerfs to slow it down a turn or two.

It doesn't mesh with Fel DH, haven't ran it in mage yet.

This post is why this game is getting so braindead it's barely enjoyable.

TBH Curselock isn't even that good; the fact that's it's even playable makes me not play.

I probably would've played if it was like 500 to enter. 1k is just stupid so 0% playability.

I just want a tournament-ish mode

Welp Dew Process Druid is back.

You forgot curses to; they fall into that category.
I sincerely hope that whomever pitches the next card or mechanic like these just gets instantly fired.

Sigh, very mild. Can't tell what half the buffs are though.
Let's just hope they've learned that nobody enjoys mana-cheating or dumb mechanics like Shockspitter and curses for future expansions.
