Tickatus doesn't beat combos, it beats other controls ! -_-
Now with Tickatus, Warlock is the only class who can play control. Thank you so much Blizzard !!

I see the Paladin card that converts secrets to minions as a cool idea, but it should have been a neutral card that goes the other way. You get minions from their secrets, but if they kill them, they get their secrets back. Might be an interesting mechanic.

As long as they leave Tickatus alone, we wont see any control Deck until next rotation.

It's a new expansion, tons of stuff to try out, and even a whole new core set.
But I only see the same 3 decks. Over and over it's just variants of Spell mage, Secret paly and Ticketus Warlock.
Secret paly feels like it's always snowballing out of control on turn 2, Mage just casually burns me to death while generating everything it needs to kill/freeze my board and Ticketus warlock is jut removal into removal into removal into deleting my deck and summoning an 6/6s and 8/8s for 0 mana.
I know there's answers to these decks and "if you can't beat 'em, join 'em" but I'm f2p and I want to experiment with what legendaries I DO have.
I can play casual but when I do it feels like 20% interesting gimmick decks, 30% people conceding for daily quests and 50% just the same 3 decks from ladder.

Thanks to the guy I played last for emoting "Well Played". I know I played well even though you played a stupid combo deck against a fresh out of the box Rogue with cards from the new set. Still I hope you feel better for BMing and that it made your insecure self feel better for the day.

Both Tickatus and Lunacy can kiss my butt. Toxic cards. You deserve each other.

5 Mages in a row. All 5 had deck of lunacy in their opening hand and all 5 spammed emotes while their random deck did unbeatable shit.

The only card what really matters is Deck of Lunacy so it doesn't matter. Wouldn't craft anything though this deck will be nerfed soon, I don't remember the community being this annoyed about a deck since aggro demon hunter and that was nerfed quite quickly.
Honestly I wouldn't even advise playing it, you will run into so much mirror its mostly gonna be 50/50 every game. Its just ruining the meta, there is so many interesting cards this expansion that are being ignored because every single deck has to try and play around this sh!t show. I don't blame though blizzard tbh, it would have been very hard to predict exactly how good Deck Of Lunacy would be after the rotation - but if they don't nerf it I can see people getting really upset.

This deck is genuinely one of the stupidiest decks that's ever existed in hearthstone. It's insanely OP, you play lunacy on turn 2 and win. But its boring as hell to play and it's basically just RNG on steroids. You win because you end up with a boat load of discounted spells which creates an insane amount of value and for the people asking about c'thun - he's in the deck because you get an extra 4 spells. I'd be surprised if lunacy doesn't get nerfed.
Anyone trying to counter it just play libram/secret paladin - if they don't lunacy on turn 2 or 3 and you play well you win, and even when they do play it early, as long as you time your Liadrin right you can still win (just make sure to play around devolving miss as best you can).

This is such a common but flawed reply which makes the problem persists longer than should have been healthy.
What does it matter if some aggro decks can beat Tickatus? The card itself is uninteractive and stifles the meta so hard. Why can't people play cool control decks with cards such as C'thun? Because of Tickatus. The card is just unhealthy for the game in so many ways. I don't get how some people can't see that.

Just play secret paladin, it's auto pilot to legend.

Vicious Syndicate typically had Control/Galakrond Warlock favored over Control Warrior, whether ETC or Silas-based. It is easier for Warlock to draw Tickatus than for Warrior to draw period, particularly with Shield Block rotating. Losing Shield block / Bloodsworn has pretty much killed Silas OTK as a reasonably consistent win condition.
2
That would have been such a cooler design, and immediately impactful in wild, too.
1
Standard is unplayable, so I queue up wild for the first time in a month. First game is against Big Priest! At Bronze 10! Like, I know you just started on wild ladder too, so probably here for the same reason I am, and that's the deck you bring to the wild ladder??
1
Just have it transform into random spells (they keep their cost). Keeps the meme dream alive while making it too inconsistent to be a Kelesth-like ladder strategy.
2
The watchposts are fine. They're "annoying," but they're available to all classes, they encourage thinking / counterplay, and they're a flavorful part of the expansion. If they nerf the watchposts because people refuse to adopt new strategies, that's a real shame. And considering watch posts aren't even dominating the meta, I'm not sure why they would be nerfed.

It's honestly like Mage is playing a tavern brawl whenever this comes out. They could put it to 5 mana and it would still be broken, but at least we wouldn't have to deal with turn 4 sprint into skull of guldan, like in this game:

The Deck of Lunacy tech we need.

Not what the article said - if you queue up a standard deck in casual, you'll be matched against players also playing standard decks. If wild, then wild. Presumably the same goes for Classic.

When my opponent plays Pure Paladin: Attendant and/or First Day of School on 1, Hand of A'Dal on 2, Perfect curve thereafter into LoH + Braggart on 7.
When I play Pure Paladin: 5+ cost cards for the first three turns.
