That is a fairly fearsome anti-aggro tool; the fact that it naturally follows Tar Creeper seems like you could almost auto-win the game against aggro decks if you pulled them in a row. My only concern is that unlike the Tar Creeper this card is good in every matchup (slightly less beneficial in some) and as people have already commented I don't want to replace Dragon curve-based decks with Elemental curve-based decks.
There will always be aggro decks. There will always be midrange (curve) decks. There will always be control decks.
And there will always be people hating and complaining about every part of the spectrum.
But it's only really a problem when one part of the system oversteps its boundaries and pushes other parts into the dusty, faraway corners of the meta. (Of course, the bigger problem is, that seems to happen a LOT and takes forever to get fixed.)
Team 5 seems to HATE it when last expansion's flavor of the month steps on the toes of the new expansion. (It happens a LOT, so you might think they'd have learned to nerf the problems a little faster by now.)
But my point is, if any of the Gadgetzan achetypes dominate the new meta without using much of the new stuff, those older cards will suddenly, magically be worth examining for nerfs. And the nerfs might even happen ... about a month before the NEXT expansion.
jade druid didn't ruin control. how many times do we have to go over this. it just forced other control decks to redefine their win condition, to no longer include fatigue or simply "remove all their threats." but it did not ruin all control decks. it just feels like that right now because the only viable control decks in the current meta are reno based, and jade absolutely stomps on most of those. renolock has a fighting chance with jaraxxus, but you get what i'm saying.
This is exacerbated by a severe lack of anti-aggro tools, so slow decks are getting it from both ends.
Prediction : Aggro is dead, Im scared of xxx greedy control deck that will defeat everything and is unstoppable, look at these 100 new control cards.
Result: One OP aggro card that people underestimate dominates the meta until the next expansion.
I take it you skipped Whispers of the Old Gods. There were some strong aggro options, certainly, but the meta was very solidly dominated by the Old Gods themselves, all of which were very late-game oriented. Aggro Shaman was a thing (thanks to cards from TGT, not the Old Gods set), but it didn't truly dominate until Karazhan brought us Spirit Claws.
Say what? Zoolock and midrange/aggro Shaman were the dominat decks of WotOG.
As i said, aggro Shaman was not enabled by anything in that set; it had already been powerful.
Zoo did get a bump, and it was strong, but it was nothing -- NOTHING -- like we saw with Pirates or Mechs or Undertaker. The Old Gods Meta was a utopian dream compared to any of those. (Plus, many would argue that zoo isn't truly an aggro deck, and I'm one of them.)

I can't believe how many people think Murloc decks are supposed to be aggro. That has never been the best way to play Murlocs.
Even back in the early days, it was better to bide your time, then slam a massive combo. I suppose this feels like aggro when you are the victim of the rush, but it's absolutely not an aggro playstyle.
SchruteBucks is correct here. Dragon Priest is midrange, and Reno-anything is control. (In fact, all combo decks are also control decks, so acting as if that's a separate thing is incorrect. "Combo" is not a position on the aggro-control spectrum.) Also, I think the thing people are currently calling "Midrange Shaman" is really more of a control deck -- it certainly uses a lot more removal than your typical midrange deck. And note that it is one of the best counters to Pirate Warrior.
The reason people are getting so confused and mislabeling things is because one of the styles has gotten far too powerful and is doing things it shouldn't normally be able to do. (An aggro deck should not be able to so easily beat so many control decks.)
As I've stated elsewhere, the problem is that Warrior weapons have always been too fast and efficient, but no one has ever cared much because Warrior has not typically had the tools to make a viable aggro deck. Now that the critical mass of Pirate synergies has shown how oppressive Warrior's weapons are, people are upset and baffled and in denial that the traditional control class has always had this aggressive thread running just beneath the surface.
Maybe you aren't being aggressive enough with her.
Don't get me wrong -- she does usually need at least one hit with a buff to be worth her mana, but even as a 2/2, she's pretty amazing in a lot of situations.
Probably never hits T1 because of the tempo loss of playing the quest card; but I'm guessing Murloc Shaman becomes a reasonably playable archetype.
In a full-on Murloc deck, it is almost never correct to play any Murloc on turn 1 -- you need each and every one to get as much value as possible, so you can't risk your opponent picking off a loner like that.
So having the quest fill that slot is actually very nice.

You may think this thread was valid criticism, but trust me, it's pure salt from someone who doesn't see the big picture.

LOL at everyone who thought Shaman would be getting an Elemental-related quest. XD
