I like it as a brawl/game mode, but not a huge fan of this for ranked modes.
Furthermore, and more importantly, blizzard would never print this as it would actually lose the company money. There would be enough F2P players that would craft just this and just play the game with just this, costing the company money. And blizz loves money.
To answer the OP's question, as someone who went 12-0 with Dark Arts Warlock just a few minutes ago (at rating around 6500, lest Mr. "Low Rating and Luck" get snarky with me), here are my thoughts.
The new season has a higher power level overall, so you can't just use the same tactics again and expect it to work. But Warlock did get some very nice new tools with Core, Un'goro, and Barrens. I actually think you want to bench C'Thun, the Shattered so that Blood Shard Bristleback and Barrens Scavenger can carry you for your first few games. For your end-game win condition, you can use Lord Jaraxxus to replace C'Thun; even in Duels, where your hero power is stronger and is less in need of boosting, Jaraxxus is just way too good in its current form to pass up. Overall, I think your deck should be more aggressive in build, with more minions and fewer symmetrical board clears.
As for passive treasures, the ones I used in my run were Scattered Caltrops and Caltrops. I think Caltrops (of either form) are quite desirable right now – the meta as a whole is heavier on cheap, weak minions, and the very popular Connections Rogue in particular is highly susceptible.
You know, if I was Blizzard, this probably would have been one of the cards I'd choose to show off when Forged in the Barrens was first announced. Of all the cards with Frenzy, this is the one where it's clearest how Frenzy plays into the card design as a whole and makes it distinct from similar mechanics. It's a clear reference to the iconic Grim Patron, and a much better one (both in terms of being faithful to the original's design, and in terms of being a more useful card) than Arena Patron back in Rastakhan's Rumble.
As a devoted Duels player, I'd love to be able to share and look up Duels starter decks. However, it does not appear that this site currently has that functionality, despite having support for both constructed and arena. Sometime soon, maybe? :)
It'd be amazing if this feature even allowed you to put signature treasures like Deathstrider straight in the deck. That's an extra, though. I'd be happy just having a dedicated tab along with constructed and arena.
Yeah, this is an annoying part of having both the current standard set up + already having the data for the new set. It will be conflicting till we rotate the Classic set.
3 sets is a bit overkill though, it should be 2 sets. I'll get that looked at. I think our latest import falsely imported the Core set again instead of overwriting it.
It will be fixed.
Not to worry... Blizzard's official library actually has more or less the same problem XD
Raw power level is high with this one. Wouldn't be surprised at all if it got nerfed. At least it has the decency not to draw when you're using it to smack face.

I'd agree with you, except that Whizbang the Wonderful and Zayle, Shadow Cloak saw print.

Pity. This brawl probably would be fun if it was coded correctly.

I'm at 0-0 in a Duels run. I can't change the deck and I can't even retire. Blizz better fix this soon.

Not for me it doesn't.

Duels is my favorite Hearthstone game mode. You're not alone.

Not to be confused with Frosting Elemental, that's this guy: Sugar Elemental

The flavor text acknowledges this weirdness.

Solid target for Stage Dive.

Wonderful with Spiked Arms in duels! (As is the original Grim Patron, but this costs 1 less and can be put in your starting deck.)
