Just had an crazy idea for a card-concept to follow in the steps of Whizbang and the like.
What about always playing a mirror-match?? Of course the fun part is to figure out what your opponent is playing. And surely he'll be in the favourite position of knowing.
Still I think I'd enjoy this - at least for a while.
What about you? Neat idea or pure idiocy?
P.S. Of course there'd have to be some sort of mechanic if both players happen to play that card. Maybe both get a random deck from their opponent's collection? Who knows...
P.P.S. I know the name and artwork are just stolen from Rafaam's Artifact. But it was just the only cool "Mirror" I was able to find. Sorry!
I like the idea, I don't know how feasible it would be to code in about searching each player's collection, given that it would need to match make first, then search. I have no clue if that is realistic.
What the recent launch issue seems to indicate is that it searches and matches you before anything else. The golden core cards were the issue and even if you had none, the match could still fail because your opponent had one. You then had to queue again, it didn't just search for another opponent until it found a match it could enter.
I do think it's a cool concept though and one that I'd be interested in exploring.
I like it as a brawl/game mode, but not a huge fan of this for ranked modes.
Furthermore, and more importantly, blizzard would never print this as it would actually lose the company money. There would be enough F2P players that would craft just this and just play the game with just this, costing the company money. And blizz loves money.

What if there’s a secret deck you both play with if you only have the mirror. It could be crazy and have op cards and even treasures. And Rafaam as the hero with sp crazy hero power too. The secret deck could be called the “Deck of Doom!” And it’s more of an Easter egg than a card mechanic so no need to specify on the card.

I'd agree with you, except that Whizbang the Wonderful and Zayle, Shadow Cloak saw print.
