In terms of efficiency, 10/10.  Fantastic deck.

In terms of taking all skill out of the game and destroying the meta, 10/10. Disgusting, cancer deck.

I'm sitting around rank 5 and I started using this deck.  Did pretty going about 30-20. and climbing to near 3. Not crazy win rate, but definitely solid.  Since then, I've gotten crushed.  I'm struggling with the control decks and can't wrap my head around the fact that the longer the game goes on, the better chance they have of winning.

Can someone please remind me that in those matchups I need to go as ham as possible (generally speaking to set up lethal) and just concede if they survive the onslaught.  Or am I a fool and there is a way to play this deck "slow" in those match ups?

I know.  I know.  I prolly should give this deck a rest if I'm asking silly questions like this, but a little guidance could help right this ship.

Decks crushing me: 1) Reno'lock when they draw Reno 2) C'Thun Warrior with the Brann + Shieldmaiden combo seemingly inevitably around turn 9 and 3) secret Hunter

    Help a brother out.

I currently play a very similar Reno N'Zoth Mage deck and find that I really only lose to out of control boards with no answer in hand.  Although the meta will undoubtedly change, if the next "top dog" contains some board crushing presence like the current midshaman, I'd suggest dropping Kabal Courier for the Volcanic Potion.  With that said, Kabal Courier would put something on the board for you while maybe giving you an answer next turn...

Who knows?? But fun build thus far

Wanna see how RNG ruins eSports?  Watch Pavel's luck in first 2 rounds of Blizzcon world championship (with $1,000,000 in total payouts on the line).  Naturally, when you have luck like this in the first two rounds, you're "running hot" and will most likely take home the gold.  Which he did...

    RN-Gesus Christ that's bad!

Also, if someone knows the exact amount Pavel won for taking first, I'd love to know that detail as I couldn't find 1st place payout, but merely the whole prize pool.

Look all the tournaments that pavel won/participated in. Do you think he got there by just getting the right card out of a fuking babbling book?
Good god people like to oversimplify RNG.
It's merely an opinion.  Although the definition of "sport" doesn't specify luck being involved in skill, I prefer games that require a certain level of chance to simply be called gambling.

Listen, I love poker.  I love Hearthstone.  And I agree that in both that skill will help the better players in the long run.  But if Pavel doesn't hit a 1/27 and pull polymorph, Amnesiac wins that game and that series.  And given that hundreds of thousands of dollars are on the line in a condensed tournament format, and luck is such a determining factor, don't give me this bullsh!t that it's not gambling at this point.

All I'm saying is there a difference between pure skill games and skill combined with chance games.  The latter I can't allow myself to call a sport.

I disagree with all people saying Flamewaker is a massive amount of RNG. Usually, when you play it, you calculate the percentage of a good outcome for you. As another said before, the problem of flamewaker is that he's just too strong. He has nearly vanilla stats for a 3 drop but also a devastating effect with all the cheap spells of the mage.

I am a big fan of the current tempo (aggro) mage.  So you'd think I'd be really biased about my "flamewanker."  On the contrary...

I agree that he could definitely use a nerf to his base stats.  I think making him a 2/3 body would be much more viable as many 2 drops can trade up and many 3-damage spells can take him out swiftly.  I'm all for making the game a bit more fair on certain elements.

Yeah, now that you mention the eSports scene, that is the one thing I don't like about the game.  I love playing.  I love watching.  I hate kids putting hope in tournaments reliant upon luck (in some calculated fashion).

**When RNG is on our side, the game is so much simple, clean fun!

Can we all agree that RNG makes Hearthstone fun?  I hear a lot of people complain about RNG in the current state.  But for some, it just makes the game simple, yet entertaining.  I think that if people don't like RNG, they really need to try those much more complex card games.  The rigid rules and infinite tactics are what make those less RNG and more reliant on skill. But simplicity and RNG make HS great.

I mean, there are certain cards that can just screw games over.  Barnes is a great example.  A 4-drop shouldnt determine the game.  I don't mind 10-drops determining the game with RNG, but there needs to be limitations.  Like the nerf on Yogg was great.

Any thoughts on RNG in the current meta? Like it?  Dont like it?  And if you dont, do you have any suggestions for changes to the game that allow future expansions to grow, while reducing RNG.

I like your Rag example.  I think it would have to be a higher cost minion, but I do like the concept.  Imagine an 8-cost 7/7 that could attack and trade like a normal minion, but could also RNG do 7 damage to random target.  Cool risk/reward scenarios created.

Also could be a huge pain with power word shield, divine spirit, or the new priest card that battlecries for +3 health to friendly minion.  A priest with a 2/5 and a 3/4 on the board by turn 3.  Thats outstanding...

We can't say its bad when we have no idea how it actually is going to perform in the meta.  As The_Bird said tho, even at a vanilla 2 drop, its stats are favorable at 2/3 vs 3/2 imo.  Even if you cant kill another 2/3, well you just poked it, healed your 2/3 back to full health, and added a 2/2.

I agree. I think Emperor is an excellent card in the Archmage Antonidas mage decks. And one could argue there is room to go that route and build a deck like this involving both Thaurissan and Antonidas; but as of now, I don't see much use in including Thaurissan and would curve out with the refreshment vendor as a solid suggested alternative.

I messed around with creating a theory craft deck of this type today, as well.  Check it out here: http://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/672081-inspire-raza-reno

I wrestled with including some of the cards that you ended up including, which I ended up removing.  Let's see if we can make sense of it.  Or perhaps you can convince me otherwise?

Auctionmaster Beardo - I don't see much use for this card aside from being a very viable 3/4 body on turn 3. The only real value I could see getting out of this card would be coupled with an Inspire mechanic card like Nexus Champion Saraad.  It seems improbable to me that (even with no mana cost hero power) that all the resources would come together to play Beardo, use a small spell - say PWS - then use your hero power again while having an inspire card on board.  Who knows, though?  Could work out great.

Tournament Medic - definitely could be a pain for the opponent to remove this card and would help prolong the fight into the later stages of the game.  I didn't think it was a proactive figure on the board, however, and decided to leave it off.

All in all, if you survive the first 4 rounds without getting swarmed or out- tempo'd, I think this deck could be viable.  I just worry that it doesn't have enough early game to survive. Essentially, you better draw perfectly or have a bunch of dead cards in your hand (which is what I worry about with almost all non-dragon Priest decks).
