For new rampers, you probably should not be playing darn. aspirant without astral communion as you will be stuck at 8-9 mana depending how many copies you end up playing.

Or better yet, stick with wild growth and innervate.

Yeah, if you are going to try this one on ladder make sure you are out of range of hunter aggro. It will perform well against zoo, but the hunter aggro can wear it down quickly depending on your draws.

    Fun hunter deck
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (18) Ability (10) Weapon (2)
    Loading Collection

Deck is ok. Does well against pretty much everything. As you can see, it includes the same idea of using eagle horn+secrets, however incorporates a lot more secrets as well as the double Illuminator. 1 is fine, i just recently added two. Snake trap is more of a utility card and you can sub it for another misdirection or bear trap, but if you take it out of context of 'secret' you should probably remove 1x Illuminator.

The general idea is to limit your opponents board, while also limiting their spell usage. The rockjaw's do a fine job of this and will also handle the board well enough. Troggzor also plays into this and the idea is to use a faceless on him if you can, to get a patron type effect while limiting their spell usage. The obvious application of this is against the secret paladin and in combination with the single copy of flare, it does serve its purpose in an effective and consistent way.

Acolytes serve as draw and make dancing around them in combination with the secrets you play, a hassle for your opponent. Piloted shredder and Bomb lobber serve to get those 2 for 1s that you need and with your acolytes out, you will actually find yourself with card advantage more times than not, something that is rarely seen in hunter play and the iron beaks will help you to limit your opponents card advantage outside of battlecry draw as well. This will not work out all the time, but the 2x eagle horn will act as a buffer for the condition to hopefully happen.

Now, i know what you are thinking. Handlock and Druid. This is where faceless really shines, as well as misdirection. Turn their big minions against them, or employ silence and set up a turn 10 leeroy+faceless combo for 12 damage, or 15 if you can retain an eagle horn. There are adjustments you could make to the deck to make your hunter face down the handlock even more, if you are seeing a lot of it, but generally the decks themselves will provide you with the tools you need to survive. Acid maw is also another way to deal with them and WILL deal with them. Get creative, but retain your late game tools and do not be afraid to go there.

There are a lot of subs to be made with this deck. Warrior orientated ones are pretty obvious and the mulligan is quite forgiving, but occasionally you will find yourself with a handful of lates.

Anyways, there is my deck. I figured i would share it, as i am having a blast with it. I became bored of the traditional hunter and for a long time, i have tried to make an effective mech hunter deck, but this one is performing better than both of them and could even do better with some fresh ideas from you guys. Try it out. Make the deck your own, post your changes and maybe some interesting plays that come up.

In closing, i will address the last thing you are probably wondering about. mad scientist. Personally, i am a fan of the value this card brings, however with the secret synergy going on, retaining your secrets into the late game will become a priority over having board. Also, misdirection is a key tool for this deck and will punish big minions, maybe even taking your opponent into hero power/charge range when you otherwise would of been dead. With mad scientist in the deck, this becomes less of an option. There are variations of the deck where it is for sure included, but this is not one of them. Thanks for reading.

Was playing my RNG Priest Deck in Casual yesterday. I'm at 7 Health with a Dark Cultist and Knife Juggler on board and the Warlock is at 3 Health with nothing on board. He casts Bane of Doom on my Knife Juggler and is rewarded with Mal'Ganis. Warlock ends his turn and starts spamming "Well Played" and "Sorry".

I'm pretty salty that he just got Mal'Ganis and pretty much secured the win unless some miracle happens. I'm not expecting much as I don't run any sort of removal in my RNG deck as Shadow Words don't meet any requirement of RNG. My draw that turn? Thoughtsteal. I cast Thoughtsteal and get Sacrificial Pact.

I cast it on his Mal'Ganis and he concedes so quickly. I then got a Friend Request from this Warlock and his first message was this:

"You POS. I would of won the game if it wasn't for some bullshit RNG from thoughtsteal."

That was the end of the convo as they quickly unfriended me. What I thought was so funny is that he benefited from RNG the turn prior by getting Ma'Ganis out of Bane of Doom.

this is the greatest problem, people only remember rng screwed them, never when it helped them, in your example SECONDS after it happened - even though I don't like it myself, everyone should just chill and accept it's that kind of game.

Mal ganis seems to drop a hellva lot from Bane of doom IMO. Best ever was casting sac pact on a hero that had become Jarraxxus :D

It's funny too, everyone gets pissed at RNG (myself included) but I've never reached the point of having to add someone and go off on them. I do find that I get a lot of rage requests after playing people with my RNG deck, they all make me laugh though.

I sometimes wish they added a little chat window during the match for exactly this reason, hahahaha.

People say this deck takes skill to play, but with this existence of sites like this and videos on it, it is not hard to learn. There are decks in hearthstone that are kind of pre-defined to either be played or play themselves. This is a deck that plays itself. I believe handlock is another.

I love this deck. I have never played Patron/Handlock and i never will because i don't need to; the reason i love this deck is because it gives newer players a way to make a minimum investment into the game and get a maximum output from said game, something that is rarely seen in any game to begin with, to the point where even after another massive expansion, it is still seeing competitive play.

Competitive play needs to move forward from this. Watching patron vs. anything is just boring. Same with handlock. It is effective but playing a deck that basically plays itself is just not entertaining and is comparable to watching Kimbo Slice getting crucified and lightly tapped in the head 17 times by some fat salty guy.. I am not coming to the fight to watch you win, i am coming to see a fight.

Patron and Handlock do NOT play themselves hahahaha, thats the most incorrect statement I've ever seen on this website. Even the highest level Patron players don't play the deck similar to one another and oftentimes don't understand why another Patron player has made the play they made.

Handlock is autopilot from turn 1 to 4 if you dont have the coin yes correct. but Handlock is made for lategame and the moment you hit turn 4, people play it differently, even pro's play it differently. Literally just yesterday, I watched Lifecoach vs Thijs with Lothar commentating, All three of them are pro's and all 3 of them are Team Archon, so the most likely to agree on the situation at high level yes? Lifecoach got to turn 4 and had two Mountain Giants and one Twilight, then Lothar said "so you obviously play the Drake first because it takes two cards to kill it, and Thijs doesnt have the tempo yet" or something along them lines, and then Lifeocach played the Mountain Giant first. Later on pretty similar situation and Thijs played the Twilight Drake first.

Decks that play themselves are decks where you have very little choice, or plays that are obviously better or correct. Pretty much every Aggro or Midrange deck ever created, the only time you get a reasonable choice is where you have Sludge Beltcher and a Loatheb and you decide which type of defensive play better fits the situation.

And that 15% of the time is entertaining to watch, but i refuse to overlook the 85% of the time where the same moves are being made.

I am surprised there has not been a boom equal in TGT. Currently i still think he reigns value over most of the introduced legs, maybe confessor beats him out.

What about Dr.6 and all his secrets :D

That's not a legendary.  There are lots of broken cards that get way too much value for their cost that aren't legendary.  Mad scientist for example.

Also, you have to sacrifice a ton of deck slots for MC to be effective. Dr. Boom is one slot.
