Gwent is fun but it's the one online TCG that is NOTHING like Hearthstone. If you're looking for something more similar check out Eternal TCG. It's closer to being MTG than Hearthstone but still much more similar than Gwent.
I think Pirate warrior is going to have a rough road ahead. There are a ton of ways to interact early in this new set and the deck works by doing most of its damage before the opponent can do much.
Jade Druid at the very least is no longer the only deck that can win an infinitely long game. The mage quest deck has legs and it's perfectly capable of going off before the Druid can get enough huge golems to properly finishe you. Ice Block is a b***
Im sure control warrior will be around in some form. Shaman has too mannbbgood cards not to be a deck but weather that's elemental, totem-ey, or something else isn't clear.
To win, this deck needs to complete its quest and then have a bunch of cheap, spammable minions to beat down with. The razorpetal cards are worth considering for sure. I dont think there is a tier one deck here, however.
No one remembers miracle rogue with 5 cost auctioneer, 0 cost conceal, 1 cost shiv and 2 cost head crack? No questions asked, the most powerful deck the game has seen.
If rogue gets another cheap card drawing minion or two this deck could work. The way you want to win is turn all your cheap value guys into 5/5 beaters and overwhelm them with card advantage, but I'm not sure there is enough support now. Maybe in the rest of the expansion it will get what it needs.
It's great. I hope next year they just remove the classic set from standard entirely. Azure Drake has been THE five drop since beta. The only cards to consistently get the nod over it were prenerf sylvanas and sludge belcher, two of the most absurd cards to ever see print
Aggro decks will always be a thing. Some of them will always have simpler decisions. Have you never see a burn deck? MTG, yugioh, Vs all had them. Cast a spell the deals damage, target the other guy. Rinse and repeat.
no one ever complained about bolt.dec. So many HS players have no concept of balance or game theory. It's disturbing
Are you kidding? Warlock and priest got new, top tier AOE spells, there's a 2/2 for 1 that heals you, tons of support for Reno decks, giant taunts for three mana.

I think this is the best card of the expansion. On par with Bran

The card draw is fine but the prophecy mechanic ruins that game for me. "You won the lottery! Here's a free removal spell!"
its ta like the worst, swingiest ring effects in HS popping every 5 damage.

Usually I just check out the spoilers afterwords but if Day9 is on, I'll be there. The man is a paragon of entertainers.

PRetty sure the Minion is supposed to be giving everyone the elixir- that's why they can't hit the target.

Control is looking better now than ever before.
